My grandpa would be so amazed to see this machine at work. His father began farming using horse drawn equipment in the early 1900's. Amazing how farming engineering has changed in the last 100+ years.
It can do multiple jobs by changing different implements, from cultivation, seeding, spraying, fertilizing, and harvesting. Also, it has a large width, good for large fields.
I have seen lots of videos about this machine, but none of them show it running in muddy fields or on hilly fields. Narrow tracks, what 18 inches? Can they been run independently?
Only thing i dont like is operater visibility. Would be better if the operating station could move to allow better visibility on the far end. Even so you could run with it in middle of the platform
The Nexat unit itself will cost around $1.3 million. With all of the applications, the total price jumps to around $2.75 million. A combine, tractor and grain cart will drop $1M off of that. I don't know much more maintenance and repairs will be saved
@godoftheinterwebz And what you mentioned would require a planter and tillage implements to accomplish the same as the Nexat, which would make the prices more comparable.
Ok..I am an old surfer dude in San Diego that is NOT a farmer (of large acreages of crops :) so flame lightly please. Is the philosophy of this machine to damage the product less or more volume or?? sorry to sound ignorant but just seems way more complex than a regular combine with a larger header that APPEARS to do the same job with a decent result????.. again be easy :) Thanks in advance
The main pitch with these, is you only need one powered unit for the farm. Farmers now, have a tractor for the planter, a combine, and a sprayer. 3 engines for 3 machines. This machine can hook and unhook to a planter, a sprayer and a combine. 1 engine.

Too many blind spots. Transport will be a nightmare. There is a reason the zero turn mowers took over. They are designed like combines. I don’t see how this is any better. Looks like way worse visibility. I can’t imagine how much stuff you would accidentally run into.

Its really the most significant farm machine innovation in the last 75yrs or more.
I fear this is an example of designing a product and trying to get the market to want it rather than designing what the market wants
The BEAST is back! What a machine!
So what is the advantage of this machine over a standard combine. Looks so inconvenient and cumbersome

How does it make sense? The zero turn mowers took too over for a reason. The combine design we have works very well.
Does it have a detailed map of grease zerts , what’s fuel consumption?
What is the learning curve for this thing, maintenance nightmare.
Wow massive machine. I couldn’t even imagine the price on it.

It’s a big purposeful machine, just matters that the economics work out! If the operator finds it makes his life better then that’s a plus.

What a monster !
I saw it on Laura's page.
Can you gang multiple machines under one operator?
That is excellent maneuverability.
The track and steering mechanism alone seems quite complex [and expensive] as compared to any conventional combine.
When did they come out with that harvester
Is this the same machine that’s been sitting in York?
What are the big tubs used for?
What are the turn radius specs?!
i think this design will be good for tea harvestor
What is the cost of that unit set up with both heads, beans and corn ?
It also can plant/drill in spring also
I would think this would be for corporate farms that have 10,000 acres plus. Or a very risk taking operator to line up dozens of jobs each year.
Does half of the field have to be cut for this thing to get in?
One unique piece of equipment . It sure sounds quite on camera sounds like it doesn’t turn many rpm’s
It doesn’t look as dusty as they normal combined at least that’s what I think
Love this beast . I hope there will be a mod for farming sim 25 😊
Wouldn't take long to do my patches they are 1.2 acres - 5 acres that's an awesome machine
Brilliant.

They need something/ system that has not been patented yet, so you get a terrible, costly beast.
