I am a bit worried on first impressions of the hotfix, it looks like there is js almost no reason to play Shoukaku anymore as Lexington does everything except torp speed, rudder shift, and he bomb fire chance better then Shoukaku who at stock is WORSE THEN RYUJOU THE T5 IJN CV!!!
I want them to be de-planed after 100-150 planes. I will continue to say Carriers are OP until that happens. Too many carriers focusing one boat the entire game and no penalty.
Carrier planes are as numerous as BB shells. In other words, they have unlimited planes. It would be easier to just prolong the time to regenerate the planes.
What I found is at times on a trop run my planes go out of my control and do airshow things, I wonder well this fix that? I bet we get one more update with the speed reduction well to many planes get downed and are we back to CVs now Japan plane factories getting deplaned? As you stated AA damage is based in how long a plane is in that bubble and I see many ships now in groups so that can be a problem, as they keep the HP nerfs, so if speed stays the same I bet HP gets a small buff, or faster plane regeneration for nations not japan,
My immediate reaction when the Carrier changes were announced was Enterprise is finally coming and they wanted to renew carrier interest because of her. Its been..... interesting so far. I'm not a good CV player but easily bested my XP and damage for Kaga and Saipan. Hoping we finally get Independence for GXP next update, it's been 2 years since she was an element of choice and the first two, Loyang and Friesland were up for GXP within 6 months.
Enterprise is very unlikely not to come legend at anytime soon. Mostly like next carrier coming in future is Britain & German. Britain need Tier 7 premium (Indomitable) & LT (Audacious) Germany need tier 5 premium (Erich Loewenhardt) & LT (Manfred von Richthofen)

Yes, spotting changes are great, its now worth playing DD'S again. Damage and speed reduction is good but there is STILL no consequence for a carrier player HAEMORRHAGING squdron after squadron of planes to gain damage. DD players can sort of do that by suicide torping but they loose their ship, so can BB players with secondary/torp builds and CL's but they usualy loose their boats. Good video, also like the use of 'nomenclature' in your last CV film. 👍Well and clearly presented. I don't think u needed the thumbnail(of the game battle), what you had on screen was ok and your input was enough, in my opinion. Good video🇬🇧
dude, the spotting changes are stupid. there is only damage farming left to do as a CV, sure i can mini map spot for my team but what good does it do if my team can't do anything with the info i give them and based on the skill level of the general player the minimap is simply not used at all for many players

Agreed…. There needed to be either a buff to AA or a nerf to plane regen. As it stands, there’s no real reason to run an AA build; you can’t shoot enough planes down to keep them from killing you if the CV player is so inclined. They will ALWAYS get at least one drop on you. Usually two. And they will always have a full squadron each time they return…

Borderline made Japanese carriers no longer even worth the effort anymore as their torpedoes are honestly not all that impressive vs US......why? @@Wilsontripplets Totally agree. I know no one really plays T3, but all the CVs there except Hermes are still BUSTED, like I have a 75%+ win rate in each one, and I am not a super unicum AT ALL. Also, I find WG's decisions regarding the legendary CVs somewhat bizarre, like why make Hakuryu, the "torpedo" carrier, have weaker torps than Midway, and instead try and shift the spotlight on Hakuryu's bombers, which have NEVER been a Japanese CV highlight (except maybe Kaga prior to this hot fix). The only thing that I can think of that can justify these shifts in focus is if either Hakuryu's torpedo planes didn't get their flood chance shafted or if Hakuryu's bombers can now compete with Midway's because they are now so much more accurate.

I just hate how carriers finally feel really strong and they just completely nerf them into the ground to where it is pointless to even grind a line because the T7! You will only see a slight drop in damage with these changes because everyone is embarrassed in address the real reason why CV's are much more deadly. BB, CA, DD players refuse to accept their mistake in demanding these 2 major changes that altered the way CV's are played which turned them into monsters. 1) forcing CV's closer to the battle 2) changing the spotting mechanics. Skilled CV players consistently get high damage games because they always play close to the enemy and average players barely get any damage because the hide in the back of the map. Now with the new CV mechanics all CV players are forced closer to the action resulting in CV players getting higher damage like never before seen. New spotting mechanics gives CV players zero incentive to spot and 100% incentive to hyper focus on farming damage. You now see this with all CV players. Tinkering with everything else will do very little in reducing the damage CV's can inflict because we refuse to address the 2 major changes I listed that significantly alters the way CV's are played.
I got a 197k dmg game this morning in my Shoukaku with the 50% Liquidator trophy for the PS5 mostly thanks to 100 to 0 a Marlborough that was sailing straight as well as they used their dcp to restore their rudder which was making them turn towards the direction my second strike was coming from letting me get a double perma flood and kill their engine for at least a minute they got 0 exp from that match did not even shoot down a single plane so probably close to a 100k dmg from that ship alone. My team lost though.

CV are played as there as there real world role intended as a support/deep strike craft. BB's are long range have hitting Artillery support. Cruisers are for vip ship coverage and screening for DD's and AA coverage. DD's are for ecort/ sub screening and AA support. So snowflake, if you don't like someone playing a ship like the game intended to. Go fined a different game to play and stop crying because you can not adapt and get better at a game.
Or, just hear me out... Nerf the HP of the carrier's aircraft. Getting 2 drops on a full AA build Iowa is flat ridiculous. A full AA build Iowa, they should be lucky to squeeze 2 planes through.

There's less carriers so the rework wouldn't be as hard for them to do, vs rewriting the code for each ship to buff their AA. Idk, I'm no tech nerd, it's just my thought process.
It doesn’t matter at all really. You can’t de plane carriers, and ship AA isn’t getting buffed. So I don’t care about them putting a band aid on a bullet wound. The gameplay is still bad and not worth playing.
AA damage doesnt need to be buffed, they just need to be able to hit the planes. AA builds were kind of useless before, now you actually have a reason to use AA builds. Deplaning is also not needed, the damage output just needed to go down.
Honestly way too early for a hot fix it should have been an update at the latest or a few weeks at the minimum I don't come back till next week and I've yet to get a chance to try them so basically this update for me is ruined due to the cry babies getting their way so I'll probably just do the D Day missions and the weekly havocs for the campaign ship and I'll probably won't play till next update I know this was supposed to be the first wave for carrier rework but it got ruined for me plus all they need to do this a freaking AA rework to counter the carriers

Let it be known that battleship and island camp and cruiser players who like to play in the back of the map are the biggest cry babies and winners in this game we should nickname them the karens of world of worship Legends. As ACV player the amount of adjustments in the difficulty the game has gotten within the week as players learn how to play against C v's his increase it just goes to show that they just didn't give the game enough time to show what they could do to counter they just didn't want to give up their aiming mode one slot for AA because they feel they should always be able to get citadels every game.
I don't get it, I like carriers, they are not overpowered, and players should already be sailing together in formations for a blanket of AA, just like in the real world. Airpower was a serious threat, it's about time this game gets that.

So guess player's like me who was enjoying aircraft carrier's that are playable now when in the past where terrible to play now have to suffer game play because CC complaints. Warships is an exquisite game, it’s beautiful. Ruined by carriers. And nobody can persuade me otherwise.
They need to nerf the plane regeneration for all CVS and the bombs almost all CVS drop per plane to make any significant changes

Only Kaga, the German premium, and the legendaries are good. All others pale in comparison and are actually kinda junk

CV don't need buffed or rebuffed. They need to buff AA for all ships. That will fix another of the things people cry about.
