    ABOUT ME:
My name is David, and I play the mandolin. I've played with multiple award-winning bluegrass bands across the world including Missy Raines, Mile Twelve, Cup O’Joe, and The Foreign Landers, and I curate the weekly mandolin video series #mandolinmondays hosted by the Mandolin Cafe. But most of all, I love sharing my love of the mandolin with others. I run an online mandolin learning community on Patreon, and I also make videos to share my thoughts, ideas, and general mandolin enthusiasm with other mando aficionados. Notice to all aspiring mandolinists:
Obviously these two humans are of the superior variety. David’s TH-cam teaching channel is superb. John’s offerings are absolutely essential.
So here’s what to do: 1. Support David’s site as much as you possibly can.
    2. Stop everything you’re doing and rush out ( or grab your device ) as fast as you possibly can and acquire everything, yes everything, that John has ever written or participated in.
( Whew, I feel so much better already. )

Great interview with John. Having been a member of his class at Sore Fingers in the UK in 20017, I was thrilled to hear that he's written a new tune entitled "Old Road to Kingham", Kingham being the location of this wonderful summer school.

Possibly the best Reischman interview ever. Also props to CS Lewis!

Great interview! John is definitely one of the most important modern composers. Also nice to hear a mention of the great John Nyhan! I’m from Cork like him and he does so much for the music scene here.

I'm new to Mandolin and John has quickly become one of my favourite Mandolinists. I've shown his new record to someone who doesn't typically listen to bluegrass/instrumental music and they loved it. Salt Spring is one of those melodies that just feels "right".

Love this. I dig John’s new album. Sarafina sounds a lot like my tune John”s Waltz in the A part. I’d sit through an unedited long form interview.
