Most of Frank Zappa"s music puts today's music to shame , it,s recordings like this that remind us how much of a great composer and musician he was , R.I.P. and Thanks for all your efforts!
Indeed, I turned 17 in 1972….nothing like Frank as a composer and excellent guitarist, respected leader, and he sure could enthuse his band musicians. Great times to have experienced
Zappa played the most mistakes out of anyone in the band. He was a genius composer and great musician but rather hypocritical in holding his band mates up to a higher performance standard than he held himself to!
I was 20 in '72 .. I discovered Frank Zappa & the Mothers when I was around 12 (1964) - got some albums from one of those mail-in offers from a magazine .. in addition to FZ, I got the East Village Fugs and a few Blues players .. GREAT to be influenced by FZ at an early age ... the ugly and stupid parts of USA society really stuck out after getting a bunch of counter-culture music
I kinda think they just re-branded a run of the mill virus and gave it a name. Then, propagandized it, scaring the world to death.I kept working and i never got sick. I never had flu shots either. I think i had the flu once in my life. I'm sixty two and i try to eat right, but i have my vices too.
Christine Frka on Zappa's right, Pamela des Barres ("I'm with the Band" - memoirs of a groupie) on his left. The girls in the pic were, I think, the GTOs (Girls Together Outrageously), one of Zappa's pet projects.
Why did he have to leave us my dear Lord savior 🙏 Jesus Christ 🙏 🙌 💖 ❤️ 😭 😫 where's the Dweez.? Please Dweezil come play here in Laughlin Nevada one hr. And half south of Los Vegas Kid rock Willie Nelson Sammy Hager plays here we need you and Moon unit I love her since 1978
I was about to make the same comment. Then saw yours. Definitely a very Apostrophe like jam minus Jack Bruce. And some Grand Wazoo thrown in for good measure.
Mmm, Frank was anti- athourity , but was also very rationalist and logical, so not an easy assumption. He'd certainly have had something to say about the cause, response, and Americans stupidity in dealing w it.

I think even today Frank Zappa is very underrated as a Guitar Player.
Thanks for posting this. Love this Big Band Rock period of his career.
Thank you Frank Zappa for your gift of a lifetime of incredible music .
Frank Zappa (lead g), Tony Duran (rhythm g), Dave Parlato (b), Jim Gordon (d) and brass live in 1972.
I miss Frank.
Me too!!!
@@ceciliaortiz2375 Ditto!!☘
I WANT FRANK!
ya'll in a giant que with the rest'a' us😍
I recently saw an ad for a T-shirt with Charlie Brown looking sad and saying "I still miss Frank Zappa"
I was 22yo in '72. I loved all the new & experimental musical stuff happening. Zappa & mothers of invention were precise musicians, especially Frank.

One of the best rock jams😃
Only one, Frank Zappa .
I heard this played one morning on 6 music and bought the cd straight away,( no vinyl available)
Often wondered what Frank would have to say about the last two years....guess he said it 50 yrs ago,
Frank was prescient and he warned us about this forthcoming nuttiness.
Frank and George Carlin and Paul Mooney said what had to be said. Makes a lot of people nervous. But those things have to be done.
1994
Thank you for sharing miss you Frank Zappa !!!
Zappa is always great
I pretty much got all his live music on cd, just waiting for Zagreb 75
Sadly, not all diseases are imaginary. Rest In Peace Frank.

About COVID in 72. A true visionary 🙂

Brian Jones sucked and so do you.
That blonde is everything I loved about hippie chicks. I bet she reeked of patchouli. Damn
That's Pam Des Barre.
Of course...
And she had a patchouli
Another Zappa triumph
So bad ass I must comment!
Halloween Austin Tex...live. do nt remember year. Best ever
I have the same affliction!
It seems that GREAT music seen live causes a disconnection of time reality. I call it "Effect Affect"
So do I!!
Je ne connaissais pas ce morceau
The hypochondriac 's epitaph "I told you I was sick"
Lo que debe haber sido este tour en los 70, Dios... Imaginary diseases es una de sus mejores obras, es indiscutible
AAAH! Frank was so ahead of us, this is dedicated to COVID.
The girl in the middle what's with her left arm, the twist in it?
Frank Zappa imaginary diseases with wheezes and sneezes. Smoking is hot.
zappa was making film through music
The girl to Frank's right, looks like her on the cover of HOTRATS
It is 🙂

Frank kissed establishment ass to make himself respectable.
He should've enlisted then.

Parts sound like Apostrophe
Yeah as soon as Frank's solo begins is where, in my opinion, is the inspiration or foundation of the song Apostrophe.
I was about to make the same comment. Then saw yours. Definitely a very Apostrophe like jam minus Jack Bruce. And some Grand Wazoo thrown in for good measure.
Do We even need to ask if Frank would wear a mask?
Mmm, Frank was anti- athourity , but was also very rationalist and logical, so not an easy assumption. He'd certainly have had something to say about the cause, response, and Americans stupidity in dealing w it.
He wasn't an inconsiderate moron, so yeh I reckon he would have.
@@peacockpie5368 you're right he wasn't a moron and would know there's no such thing as a contagious virus and would consider oxygen important
He wouldn’t have had to; he never left the house if he could help it! Busy in the UMRK. As always!
