the man throws the magic of the songs off to me. the heaviness of Hus voice overpowers his female counterpart and interferes with the meshing of the harmonies. If it were all female, with both females having light voices, it would blend much better.

Halcyon got me through some of the most hellish moments of my life. I would own the streets of my neighborhood at night and exercise like a demon to wretchedly attempt to exorcise my demons. Emotionally I think that pain point crossroads of mine cemented me to what Ellie was going through when she wrote such songs. And like her I also find it hard to play songs from that era -I was surprised to see her singing so many from that album. They are fantastic songs, but perhaps it was only I that sealed parts of my demons away in those songs from that time. Btw Ellie, I doubt you're reading but I like what you did with the notes on I need your Love from 12:54 - 12:59.
