From the very beginning of Flame of Despair, it gives you this overall feeling of uneasiness, like something isn't right but you can't pinpoint what it is, nearly to the point of driving you mad. I believe this could be in reference to Homura never really knowing what true despair felt like, and over the course of Flame of Despair, you can feel her slowly starting to get a grasp on what it is that she is feeling, and then when it cuts to the part that sounds a lot like a snippet of Symposium Magarum, it is her recognizing what Sayaka must have felt when she transformed into a witch, the only other girl she has watched transform into a witch countless times aside from Madoka. She never truly understood the depth of heartache and anguish that becoming a witch felt like, and as such, that great big build up toward the end of Flame of Despair, the reason it blends so well into Symposium Magarum is because finally, Homura understands what true despair feels like, as it slowly consumed her as it did Sayaka.
i think homura always felt despair. she was so miserable for so long and she could finally unleash her emotions. think about it. if she gave into her despair, madoka and everyone would be officially dead. she HAD to keep going until the cycle stopped. if it hadn’t been for madokami, she might’ve been in an eternal prison
@@solm.6184 I guess it's because she always pushed down her despair and replaced it with determination for the next timeloop, then after the series most of her memories with Madoka were blurred out and dreamlike but in Rebellion her memories got triggered because of seeing a living breathing Madoka which triggered the rest of her memories to come back and made her acknowledge what was really happening. Then during this scene all of her memories had come back to her and with her suspicions proved it quickly led her to despair and turned her into a witch completely but even in her despair she knew she needed to question Kyubey about his goal and his answer, the conversation with Madoka and her despair/regaining her memories then led to the ending where Homura decided it was best for Madoka to be separated from the Law of Cycles due to Kyubeys potential meddling, her own emotions and Madoka saying she would never willingly leave everyone.

Honestly Madoka Magica redefined the entire magical girl genre and I think it's fame is pretty much where it deserves to be. It'll have a revival when the 4th movie is released that's for sure.

Yeah I definitely have. The multiple Homuras are probably the Clara dolls. Sayaka bandage means she's probably been silenced by homura. The mysterious girl in the trailer, I'm not sure but could tie to the antagonist witch, or scene 0? I still think that scene 0 will be magireco exclusive. I haven't thought too much about it, i wanna be blown away in theaters.

As for the multiple Homuras being the Clara Dolls, considering one of the "Scene 0" girl's powers is light manipulation to create an illusion in which she looks invisible, I wouldn't be surprised if she had done something similar to the Clara Dolls as her attempt at fighting back against Homura, by psychologically attacking her. So yeah, I believe your theory. I mean, their job is to torture the Devil after all.

I have a problem. I don't ship Kyoko and Sayaka (yes, I'm aware they're in love, but that's not always enough for a relationship to last). I'm not saying what they have isn't special. Quite the opposite, their bond is one that should be protected at all costs... But when I try to imagine them on an actual relationship... I just can't do it. Sayaka is a knight who takes lawful justice seriously and can only see half the glass full (I know she matured, but she was still pretty hostile towards Homura, at the very least she could have considered the fact the Incubators were now under check and arranged some sort of deal, Homura's Labyrinth is based on self-hatred after all). Kyoko is a priest who saw both sides of the divine spectrum and has the freedom to choose how she evolves. Because of that, she has a more neutral outlook on life. And while she does care for her friends and will try to be less selfless for their sake... On her own, she takes a more... practical approach on battle. One that she doesn't see much problem with, given how it was this imperfect world that took her family from her, by forcing her into that wish. She demands both sides of a deal to be either happy or miserable. But one can not have more than the other. It's a matter of earned equality. However, I'm aware how wrong this outlook on their relationship might be, so I need someone to help me believe in this ship.
I don't really need to convince you. The show leaves it up to your interpretation. I think that Kyouko fundamentally changed after seeing Sayaka as a reflection of her former self. It put her back in connection with her original values and I think based on that, it can happen
Oh I heavily doubt they're a thing at all. 99% of Kyoko's words at Sayaka are actually directed at Mami, Sayaka is just the proxy. I find it likelier Sayaka has something for Madoka or that she's straight up not into girls at all(unlike Hitomi, Sayaka is confortably hetero so she doesn't mind kinship with Madoka but Hitomi is so deep in the closet she can't stop seeing lesbians everywhere). If you read TDS and Oriko Magica, Kyoko is 100% Mami's bestie almost GF, much like Kirika and Oriko are the unholy matrimony that trolls Homura out of a happy ending, Sayaka is a side character in PMOM and her role in TDS is about her relation to Mami than to Kyoko. After all, in the anime Kyoko basically takes Oktavia out in her massive suicide because she's done, she lost Mami and she can't pick up where she left off either, nobody can be Mami, she even said so. In TDS, Kyoko soundly destroys Oktavia off screen and then drops the Grief Seed by Mami before killing herself to atone for all she did to Mami. Heck, in Magia Record: Kyoko's motivations are 100% around Mami, she clashes with Sayaka but she's basically all about Mami. It isn't just a matter of incompatibility, it's also a matter of mass misinterpretation due to a lack of research from most fans
@@jouheikisaragi6075 huh ! Thank you. This makes things easier for me when I get to the point of writing a ship for Kyoko. I think maybe their relationship is something like this. After her heart was broken by Kyosuke and Hitomi, Sayaka tried what Eleanor from "The Good Place" told Jannet to do when your heart is broken, which was to get a rebound boy/girlfriend, which she tried with Kyoko, feeling attracted by the fantasy of mending the rebel's soul. However, while Sayaka definitely means a lot for Kyoko (as she's the only one who returned) she doesn't feel a crush, those are merely the signs she accidentally sends Sayaka. Yeah... I love the bluenette, but she needs to take the time in Homura's world to to therapy. As for Kyoko...first, I hope she meets Yuma again. Then, I hope Yuma and Nagisa notice Mami's crush on Kyoko, the dark pinkette's possible lingering feelings for her, and scheme some sort of date for the two.
@@JabamiLain the funniest part is that Sayaka just had to tell Kyosuke she liked him. He would say yes(see the PSP game). Heck the only reason Kysouke settled for Hitomi despite them not having chemistry(seen in Wraith Arc) is cause he feels he doesn't deserve Sayaka. I'd say the one in need of therapy is Mami, that girl is about as derrangedly Yandere as Homura.

He can't use Hitomi as his excuse to not better manage his time. And, declairing wouldn't be enough. Sayaka's problems stem from how she sees herself as a monster. Even if she was not rejected, given it was confirmed the relationship wouldn't work, her problems would probably persist. And yeah... Mami also needs therapy. They ALL need therapy.

Yeah I definitely have. The multiple Homuras are probably the Clara dolls. Sayaka bandage means she's probably been silenced by homura. The mysterious girl in the trailer, I'm not sure but could tie to the antagonist witch, or scene 0? I still think that scene 0 will be magireco exclusive. I haven't thought too much about it, i wanna be blown away in theaters.

As for the multiple Homuras being the Clara Dolls, considering one of the "Scene 0" girl's powers is light manipulation to create an illusion in which she looks invisible, I wouldn't be surprised if she had done something similar to the Clara Dolls as her attempt at fighting back against Homura, by psychologically attacking her. So yeah, I believe your theory. I mean, their job is to torture the Devil after all.
@@JabamiLain I've only read up to day 6 on Scene 0 so I'm not that clear on what's happening yet. Nagisa age progression with magic is not something I would have thought of. I do hope they introduce someone new though. And I also hope we get to see the Walpurgisnacht in their magical girl forms.

I have a problem. I don't ship Kyoko and Sayaka (yes, I'm aware they're in love, but that's not always enough for a relationship to last).
I'm not saying what they have isn't special. Quite the opposite, their bond is one that should be protected at all costs... But when I try to imagine them on an actual relationship... I just can't do it. Sayaka is a knight who takes lawful justice seriously and can only see half the glass full (I know she matured, but she was still pretty hostile towards Homura, at the very least she could have considered the fact the Incubators were now under check and arranged some sort of deal, Homura's Labyrinth is based on self-hatred after all).
Kyoko is a priest who saw both sides of the divine spectrum and has the freedom to choose how she evolves. Because of that, she has a more neutral outlook on life. And while she does care for her friends and will try to be less selfless for their sake... On her own, she takes a more... practical approach on battle. One that she doesn't see much problem with, given how it was this imperfect world that took her family from her, by forcing her into that wish. She demands both sides of a deal to be either happy or miserable. But one can not have more than the other. It's a matter of earned equality.
However, I'm aware how wrong this outlook on their relationship might be, so I need someone to help me believe in this ship.
I don't really need to convince you. The show leaves it up to your interpretation. I think that Kyouko fundamentally changed after seeing Sayaka as a reflection of her former self. It put her back in connection with her original values and I think based on that, it can happen
Oh I heavily doubt they're a thing at all. 99% of Kyoko's words at Sayaka are actually directed at Mami, Sayaka is just the proxy. I find it likelier Sayaka has something for Madoka or that she's straight up not into girls at all(unlike Hitomi, Sayaka is confortably hetero so she doesn't mind kinship with Madoka but Hitomi is so deep in the closet she can't stop seeing lesbians everywhere). If you read TDS and Oriko Magica, Kyoko is 100% Mami's bestie almost GF, much like Kirika and Oriko are the unholy matrimony that trolls Homura out of a happy ending, Sayaka is a side character in PMOM and her role in TDS is about her relation to Mami than to Kyoko. After all, in the anime Kyoko basically takes Oktavia out in her massive suicide because she's done, she lost Mami and she can't pick up where she left off either, nobody can be Mami, she even said so. In TDS, Kyoko soundly destroys Oktavia off screen and then drops the Grief Seed by Mami before killing herself to atone for all she did to Mami. Heck, in Magia Record: Kyoko's motivations are 100% around Mami, she clashes with Sayaka but she's basically all about Mami.
It isn't just a matter of incompatibility, it's also a matter of mass misinterpretation due to a lack of research from most fans

I think maybe their relationship is something like this. After her heart was broken by Kyosuke and Hitomi, Sayaka tried what Eleanor from "The Good Place" told Jannet to do when your heart is broken, which was to get a rebound boy/girlfriend, which she tried with Kyoko, feeling attracted by the fantasy of mending the rebel's soul. However, while Sayaka definitely means a lot for Kyoko (as she's the only one who returned) she doesn't feel a crush, those are merely the signs she accidentally sends Sayaka.
Yeah... I love the bluenette, but she needs to take the time in Homura's world to to therapy. As for Kyoko...first, I hope she meets Yuma again. Then, I hope Yuma and Nagisa notice Mami's crush on Kyoko, the dark pinkette's possible lingering feelings for her, and scheme some sort of date for the two.
@@JabamiLain the funniest part is that Sayaka just had to tell Kyosuke she liked him. He would say yes(see the PSP game). Heck the only reason Kysouke settled for Hitomi despite them not having chemistry(seen in Wraith Arc) is cause he feels he doesn't deserve Sayaka. I'd say the one in need of therapy is Mami, that girl is about as derrangedly Yandere as Homura.
@@jouheikisaragi6075 in his defense, he ain't wrong. Now, maybe I'm not the best person to give advice, but if he's aware of his problem, the guy should seek to try and improve himself. He can't use Hitomi as his excuse to not better manage his time.
And, declairing wouldn't be enough. Sayaka's problems stem from how she sees herself as a monster. Even if she was not rejected, given it was confirmed the relationship wouldn't work, her problems would probably persist.
And yeah... Mami also needs therapy. They ALL need therapy.
