I Don't know if this will help you or not, but you can use Silly-Putty to "Mask" areas you don't want panted too. its a bit more Expensive, but if you're working in a very small or tight area it works WONDERS!
If you want to light it from inside as they were designed, then yes. Acrylic or latex paint will not allow any light through and will look like a black area when lit up at night.
@@MG-we9mweither krylon fusion or rustoleum for plastic. You have to spray lit up and use light coats. Or if you have an airbrush with Createx transparent paint, but it does hold up as well.
Thank you for your video's! How do you match color? I have a vintage Nativity Camel/Shepard/Donkey. While washing with a soft cloth, some of the red paint on the Camel hump came off. I am thinking a spot repair only is needed. I appreciate your time and reply.
The best way to do it is to strip the old paint and repaint it. You will never match the paint that is on there since it is aged and probably faded a little from the sun. The easiest thing to do is find a shade of krylon or rustoleum that is close to the shade that is on there. Spray some on a piece of cardboard or in a cup, and use a Q tip to dab it on. Do not brush it on. And be careful to keep from overlapping the old and new paint. From 20 feet away no one will notice the difference in shades.

I have tried it. It does not seal tight enough and allows the spray to penetrate the edge.
I like the candy cane one that’s something I would do
Thank you!
You’re welcome

Can you paint brush with createx paint?
Any kind of paint done with a brush will leaves brush marks and the paint be uneven, causing a splotchy appearance when lit from the inside.
What kind of paint was used?
On this one I used Createx translucent paint in an airbrush.

Thanks for the video,
How well does the Createx paint hold up in the elements? (Snow/rain)
It seems to be holding up ok. This is the first year I have used it.
