    Come, Follow Me is a resource offered by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is designed to be used in the home to support personal and family scripture study to build faith in Heavenly Father and His plan of salvation and in the Savior Jesus Christ and His Atonement. Come, Follow Me is self-contained and adequate, when used properly. Products and materials designed to supplement this resource, though they may be helpful in some instances, are not necessary for a successful home study program.

    My Laurel advisor is celebrating her 100th birthday soon. She loved us, every one of us as different as we all were. She won our hearts. She took us toilet papering and cruising by boy's houses, and whatever. And now, even 50 plus years later, we all love and cherish her.

    On my mission, one of our investigators’ first prayers was my favorite. She said, “Dear Heavenly Father, hello. How are you?”

    It occurred to me that this is the 3rd time Ammon turned down a kingdom. First, from his own father. Second....Lamoni offered him to marry his daughter (which possibly would lead to the throne) OR when Lamoni offered Ammon whatever Ammon wanted. Third, King Lamoni's father offered his kingdom.

    David . I so appreciate what you said about wax strong. Comparing to making a candle. One dip at a time is how we learn, how we grow. I am studying the attribute of Christ this year if virtue . D&C 121:45-46 your confidence will wax strong in the presence of God.

    You guys, you make me want to go serve a mission again!! I mean I can't leave my kids and go right now, but 24 years later, and I'm ready to go again! I love these missionary chapters! Thank you for helping me feel the love and excitement of a mission again!

    You guys are SO FUNNY! I was laughing out loud at this one. THANK YOU for keeping it light. Sometimes scripture can be heavy - but you show I
    it doesn’t have to be. There’s still so much reverence but with a dose of humor. You two have found your stride together. Love it.

    I love the story of Ammon. One of best stories in Book of Mormon. I have a 10 year old grandson who isn’t baptized but would love this story too. I also volunteer in the reading program at the elementary by me with 3 graders and your story brought tears to me. Sweetest bunch of children I could ever work with.

    This was an interesting speculation to think about Abish. While we do not know her age, and we do not know what type of fitness the people of that time had in terms of ages around 25, 30, 40, 50... it did make more sense to see Abish as young and that youth don't second-guess themselves as she is noted to run from house to house. Much like a young child who wants to tell everyone or a teenager excited to share her blessing.

      @@joeshriver778This is a fair point. I don’t think this is a big concern for this duo because they are pretty clear in their style that they aren’t about telling the precise story. Not that they’re trying to tell it wrong, but they’re not so concerned about slip-ups like this because there are more important points for them to make. It’s helpful for you to point this out to others who are not so familiar with the story, though. Just recognize that they probably don’t read all these comments and even if they do, aren’t focusing their efforts on preventing these kinds of slip-ups.

      @@joeshriver778how about trying to teach on camera and see how well you do before criticizing them! Sad that you watch to call them on an innocent mistake (as indicated by you’re including “again” in your comment). Seems like you totally miss the spirit of this lesson. There’s always someone so willing to call someone out. Like President Nelson asks, “be a peacemaker!”

    It concerns me very much that members of Christ’s church are still so enamored with Disneyland. We should all take a closer look at their values and how they really view our children. It isn’t the same place as it was 50 years ago. Are we comfortable with them pushing the LGBTQ+ agenda? I used to think it was a magical place but not any more sadly. I have nothing against LGBTQ+ individuals who choose that lifestyle but when they are trying to push it in our innocent children that’s when it becomes a problem. Disney does not display family values any longer.

      I think you can look for the good in the world. We have had many memorable family vacations in at Disney World in Florida. It was a gift from my mother-in-law and we cherish the times we spent there!

    • @tbhughesth
      @tbhughesth 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      We have good memories from Disneyland as well but can we ignore the underlying evil that is now there at the park and in the movies that are being made? Should we ignore that and pretend it doesn’t exist? We need to surround ourselves with wholesome influences and not support an organization that is trying to push an agenda that is not in keeping with gospel standards.
