- At the tail end of 2023 I produced a video about Being Invisible as a Senior Foreigner in the Philippines now. So I did warn you. At the time I’d spent 5 months in Manila being completely overlooked or underlooked by filipnas so the writing’s been on the wall for awhile. I’ve more recently spent 3 months in Cebu where it took me over 2 months trying to get a date. Now many viewers will say you need to look within fella. You’re the issue here. But I think you’ll find that I’m not the only one with this opinion.
During the past 4 years of living in the Philippines I’ve noticed my appeal to filipinas has gradually declined. So okay I’m 60 plus now. This is where I feel that the game has changed. Previously the filipina mantra was - Age is just a Number. It’s the most common filipina saying since Not Here for Fun unless You’re paying for It. But now they say - Age is Just a Number as long as you’re not over 50. I’m not interested in Dating Grandpas they say.
Charming. Pah! Who said Filipinas are Simple. I’m not interested in being your sugar grandchild. Filipinas are getting much more picky nowadays. They’re able to. Under 50 you’re fine. Just. Gone are the days of thinking I’ll just wait till I’m 70 and drive my wheelchair on to a jetplane and all will be swell.
So when did it all go wrong? Covid was a great opportunity for ladies to professionalise their strategy. Ie how to extract cash from foreigners who aren’t in the country or won’t be allowed into the country for another 2 years. Simple. Baby, you’re the one for me, she says 5 times a day to her different sponsors. I’m waiting for you when the borders open. Not.
So whose fault is it? You. You idiots. You’ve ruined it for everyone.
Too many guys overseas sending money to filipinas they’ve never met yet.
Many filipinas are getting a monthly salary from different guys.
Why would they need you?
You see a beauty on a dating website page who stands out head and shoulders from the rest.
You think you’re the “only one” she’s chatting to who’s sending you money.
The filipina is now in pole position. In my dreams.
She has the pick of the crop.
And get this fatty, you’re never gonna be her first choice.
Well, I guess you can’t have enough money to waste sending money to some floosey you’ve never met and never likely to meet on the other side of the world whose middle name is “Gcash.”
In the Modern Dating Game old men are instantly disposable and replaceable.
Where covid was a good opportunity for girls to scam money out of you - today filipinas expect to be pampered, have their education and University tuition fees paid for. Online I see so many requests saying Send me Flowers. Send me GCash. Spoil Me. I Need Princess Treatment.
I need someone to pay for my Tuition. I can’t pass my course until I pay my Exam Fees. I need Sugar Daddy.
And obviously guys are doing that.
So many young filipinas don’t feel the need to get a job.
Why bother working when you can easily find a sponsor to pay your way in the world?
Filipinas are able to pick and choose who they want.
Since the border re opened in February 2022 after covid, filipinas have been swamped with an influx of foreign arrivals entering the country.
And Not just old fogeys. It’s a lot easier to work anywhere in the world now, so guys of all ages now are peacocking themselves across the philippines. Without walking aides.
Previously they’d say a younger man in his 30s or 40s wasn’t for them as they’re unreliable or playboys. But pitch a younger man against an older man physically and there’s only going be one winner.
There’s also many Korean and Japanese guys.
Many filipinas are pretty obsessed with Kpop and Jpop culture and would rather date a Korean or Japanese guy than a pasty old foreigner.
What can you offer more than the next man? It’d better be good.
Otherwise you’ve got no chance.
Filipinas have so much choice now, you’d better be able to stand out.
And also older filipino guys.
As I said Dating was harder this time in Cebu as it Took me over 2 months to get a date. Whenever I’m sat on the khazi I’d take the opportunity to see what’s on offer online. 99 times out of a hundred I swipe left so an hour would quickly pass and my bum had gone numb.

I’m 50. 51 next week. My long term girlfriend was 31. Since then I haven’t had any trouble getting dates. I dated a 23 year professional in Manila, a 22 year old College girl in Manila and a 20 year old sales lady in the province. I’m now living with a 22 year old from Mindanao. None of them had kids. Didn’t have to be an ATM with any of them. All of them attractive young women. I had dozens of other options. If I can do it anybody can.

I'm 54 years old and been here almost 6 years! You'll never run out of options unless the American dollar becomes obsolete. And for all the foreigners buying houses and sending money to these women. Firstly, I’m 75, look and act in my 50’s, my current gf is 24. No problem at all finding younger women. Just be careful who you hitch up with. No house and lot, no girls with 8 siblings. any mention of money is an immediate red flag.

Great topic Phil . I am 62 and my Filipina is 23. It depends on the man , how he has maintained himself physically. My lady is beautiful. She is frugal and non materialistic. Her favorite shoe is Birkenstock and she shops ukay - ukay ,Shein. We both love to travel and we both embrace a similar diet vegan / vegetarian/ occasional pescatarian. College educated and highly intelligent. I discouraged the relationship at the outset because I was looking for over 30 , her personality , intelligence and body won me over. There is still hope for the over 50 crowd , be positive and personable .

I just think too many guys believe that all woman in Southeast Asia do not care whatsoever about large age gaps in dating and marriage. While I do think more women in Southeast Asia are open to large age gaps than in America (my home country), the norm is still closer ages in relationships. If you look around the city you'll see young people with young people, old people with old people. Even in Thailand this is true. When I was in my late 30's I had zero problems attracting tons of attention from Thai women in their early to mid 20's online and also at a dating agency I frequented. It was no coincidence that the older I got, the less interest I got. Now in my 50's the only interest I get online are from women around same age as me, and only a few of them at that. Nowadays I don't even care anymore about a relationship, if it happens, it happens, if not, fine by me. I do enjoy the solitude and peace of mind being alone. If I need 'company' I'm not ashamed to say that I can go to any "establishment" and get lubbed up for a few hours. That's all I need these days to be happy.

I am 71 white male from Texas, I live in a condo high rise called the Loop Tower which I have seen in this Bigg World Cinema guy’s background in one of his videos in Cagayan De Oro so he knows the area. This 29 floor tower is across the parking lot from the Limketkai mall. I walk over to meet several women a week off of a dating site. The girl and I agree to meet for lunch or dinner right there at the mall and then I bring them back to spend the night with me. Cagayan De Oro is a great city for older white guys like me as there are not many whites in the town meaning less competition. Filipinas love white skin and I am as white as a sheet. Sure I help pay for their travel expenses etc, so what. If I can help them a bit financially for Jeepney fare so be it, I am lucky with extra money to share. Why travel all over the Philippines and get all hot and sweaty just have the women come to you in your air conditioned condo

I'm 70 and only get $1221 SS. How much a month is rent? How much is your travelers health insurance? Are there a lot of earthquakes there? I don't know if I would live in a high-rise and try to find something cheap maybe on a ground floor but not in a multi-storied structure because of earthquakes. I wonder about earthquake potential and a lot of roosters and dogs barking etc. I suppose I'm dreaming at my level of income renting an apartment in a single floor structure... or anywhere ha! Is that right? If I have a bike shop pack my mountain bike I'd have my own transportation so I could save that way too. Here in the USA I exercise a lot and commute by bike. I see a discount for $325 to fly there maybe because it's summer here.

I'm 65, I was there last year and at 64 I was approached daily by many Filipinas and most of them were genuine about their interest in me. Most were good looking, a few were stunners. It's easy to find a genuine girl there, and yes, they want some security from the union but that's not the same as wanting "money".

In order for Romantic Relationships to be functional and succeed the relationship must be to the benefit of both partners. Generally that agreement 'primarily' includes the man sharing his resources and heart with the women, and she in return provides comfort and caring for his home, body and soul. -- Phillip see if you can you answer this question (A or B): A- take the chance and vet out a Good Girl and try investing in a relationship OR B- Do you want to grow old alone traveling around (probably living in temporary dwellings)? The correct answer is the one you choose (and commit to it and accept the trade-offs). I like Phil's content, and it strikes me as really insightful, with sarcasm that is so gradual and clever that I may not catch it. Nonetheless I think you are correct in your observations. Nothings changed. Since online dating became a thing, men have stopped working on their offline game. If your in-person presentation is strong, you WILL attract women. I've watched all of your videos, you use alot of sarcasm and dry humor remarks when talking to the ladies. Sarcasm is one of the least desirable traits a person can have. Because Filipino's don't have a deep understanding of English, they know words and take those words for their literal meaning. They don't get sarcasm because it takes words and twists them to mean something else. They only get slapstick comedy, because it is straightforward and literal.

Girls in the Philippines take personality into account a lot more than girls in other places often do. That said, if you’re a mess you’re going to have to adjust your expectations. If you’re an older guy in great shape with a nice head of hair and a fun personality you’ll likely meet a very nice girl that’s genuinely interested in you and finds you attractive. If you’ve let yourself go and try to lead with your wallet you’re going to get exactly what you deserve. Don’t try and leverage your relative wealth. It’s in bad taste. Be a good man and even if love and affection elude you you’ll still have dignity and the knowledge that you did right by the people around you.
I hope you're right. I'm spending a week or month in promising locations in SEA. Trying to make connections with locals and expats, improving my social skills, keeping up on dental maintenance. Focusing on "Would I like to live in this location with these people?" rather than "Can I bag an age gap hottie in the next couple days." So far, lots of good scouting and connections, zero romantic interest other than from scammers, ladyboys, fakes, freelancers. So, essentially, nothing surprising.

Well, isn't it that men let themselves go and look awful as they age? I think that if you stay in good shape and are masculine, you won't have these difficulties. I'm 52, 5'9" but I workout daily, in shape and dress well. I attract mostly Asian and Eastern European ladies under 35 year old. It takes work to attract ladies, even in countries in the SEA. Nothing is free in life. I agree, these ladies are getting more options as the passport bro movement ramps up, but I'd rather be with ANY of them ladies any day than ANY western women. BTW, there are a lot of beautiful, feminine, traditional ladies in the country sides (stay away from the cities if you're having difficulties).

Nonsense. I'm 53 and dating is still quite easy in the Philippines. But... you can't look like an old slob.
1. Hair. If you're partially bald, shave your head. A clean shaved head will look a 1,000% better than partially bald. If you're gray, dye your hair or at least make it less gray.
2. Teeth. Fixed them. Whiten them.
3. Workout. Nothing will improve your look or make you look younger than muscle tone. You don't have to be a body builder but pump some iron.
4. See a plastic surgeon. Fix your ugly nose. Lift you saggy forehead. Get rid of the double chin.
5. Your financial situation. Get rid of shit you don't need. Down size your vehicle. Sell the motorcycle that collects dust. Sell the boat you don't use. Work more hours. Go back to school.

If you still want a hot girl in her 20s if you are 60+ (and not rich) you need to take yourself to the province for a 3 month stint per locale and find a girl organically.
The worst thing you can do is going to the Philippines with "getting a girl' mindset. You become an easy target for them. I'm going to travel SE Asia in November and my goal is to interact with new people, culture and food. Visiting and exploring new area and having fun. I believe in destiny and if love find me well I will consider it without jumping into the fray, blindly without caution.

Basically, you're no longer a novelty as an older foreigner. You need to bring your A-game and have a willingness to stand out. Otherwise, work in the lane set for you. You got the money, show the bling and you can get what you want if you know the score. To think the young attractive women there ever really liked old men is ridiculous on its face, It's always been about extracting cash and an upgrade from the grinding poverty. Never had a problem 45-55 in my travels to Philippines. I use tinder , and just hopping around malls or nightlife. Some are freelancers some are not . But I always have a great time . well maybe i am wrong and is only my opinion but a man that is scared to spend 100 pesos to take a taxi to bus station can have even 25 yo and will have problems to dating. I am 58, one month with a 25 girl in Cebu, 4 months with a 21 girl in Iloilo. Going out 2 times a week like in every place, no ATM asking, without helping nobody. Again just my opinion!

I just watched half of the video and got an itc to comment your sayings. If you are over 60 and don't know what you want - so there's something wrong with the picture here. I'm 60 at the end of this year and if I stand 2 minutes at corner by myself somebody will talk to me or show interest in me - but I also look like 50 or younger. Strongly disagree! I just made a video about this. Older men are no longer superstars and turning heads but you can still find love or a gf. You might need to be more realistic with your age preference, weight, if she has kids or not, or where you live. If you live in Manila where all the foreigners are that’s on you. Go to the province or northern Mindanao where less foreigners are (but still safe)

Y'all should ask yourself for the reasons.. because the usual excuse, "western women are all ....." doesn't really work anymore because now the same reasons why women don't want you, apply also in the Philippines. I love a Filipina over a western women because she has all the values that I also have (and to be able to have some kids) not only because I have no options in my home country.
I would have to disagree about seniors not being able to find women to date in the philippines. These women know that if you have a consistent paycheck coming in that security and stability are there. Does anyone honestly believe financial concerns aren't involved with any woman, no matter where they come from. This is your only foot in the door, just like any other woman on the planet. I highly recommend not sending any women money who you haven't formally met and have met her family. They then know that if you leave that they will be made to feel like a fool in front of their family. Especially if you have had a carnal relationship with her and the family is aware of this. Losing your honor is a big deal, and many families will shunn her and look down upon her.

I think I see a bit of this in myself. It's being a bit delusional about who has what to offer. I like listening to Bigg World and he sounds like an interesting guy. But what seems to have happened is that he/like me... we've become old! And we kind of hanker for the days when we were young and had the power to pull the women just off our looks and charisma alone... now we are old, yet still believing we are younger and have an attitude of 'why should I pay more than half' So we are delusional, offering nothing much and resenting that we have to offer more than our youth and charm ( which has gone) And he doesn't seem to have any money either, and let's be real, living in cheap rooms and going 50/50 on dates while losing our hair... it's not we are a great prize. My biggest problem was trying to sort out the girls that are under age from those who are legal.
But I did not feel that I was persona non grata … totally. Walking around Ayala Center I did, however, not see the turning heads and smiles that I was told I might see.
I came home with three or four, maybe five filipina friends I correspond with regularly and yes, they are merely asking for money most of the time and not asking after my well-being.
And I’ve recently come to the hard baked realization that at least one of them is completely scamming me .

I would definitely start Rowing on a Rowing Machine and lifting heavy weights 3x per week. You sound depressed kind of. Because you’ve said many times that you’re sleeping with Filipinas but are still not fully happy. So maybe it’s coming from within your own low mood. Which is something that exercise will change. Things have only changed online with Filipinas. Not in person over there you should have no problems in person going out and meeting them. Maybe you are too picky.

@@BiggWorldCinema cool I suggest definitely lifting heavy, in the 5 to 15 reps range, 3 sets per exercise. Compound movements. Barbell Bench press, Barbell shoulder press, lat pull down and leg press machine. (Sometimes use Dumbbells if you feel like it).
Those big 4 will be massively effective. I’ve swapped Squat for Leg Press machine, and swapped Pull-ups for the Lat Pull Down Machine because of your age and I’m assuming you are a beginner at weights ? No offence. I’ve trained most of my life so it’s what I would pick for myself too after a long break out of the Gym.
The Rowing Machine I would program 5000 metres twice per week. Should take you anywhere between 20 to 30 minutes to complete if you have done it before. 20 minutes is an amazing intermediate time. On another 2 days or when you feel like it program 2000 metres and aim for completion in 10 minutes if possible.
Rowers high beats runners high in my experience. It will have you feeling like a billion dollars in no time too I absolutely promise you that. The heavy lifting I would complete the sessions in 30 to 50 minutes, only do longer if you really feel like it. Be sure to sleep early and eat bigger too. Meat and Rice diet never fails.
The ladies over there like a bigger man. Whether they say it or not, they love a man in shape and even carrying some extra pounds along with the strengthening. I hope you do it mate. The Gym is massively important for mood and everything else for sure! 🙏😎

@@cseosborn892 lifting heavy for example in 3 reps and 3 sets of the biggest compound movements will increase strength but not induce growth in muscle mass. Search Anatoly on here he does funny videos in the gym shocking big built people with his serious strength.
