Indeed, even after twenty-four years, - I still miss you. Though the singer is silent, there is still the truth of the song. - It hurts like it happened today.
If you had a soft heart you probably loved John Denver. He didnt make a lot of noise just beautiful music about lovely things. He warmed your heart. So much talent. Its very strange how it went wrong when he was on top of the world. Well it happens too often but i will always have a soft spot for John Denver.
Clifford, I have noticed people are Very respectful when they speak of John Denver sure he admitted to smoking a little marijuana but he was honest about it. He didn’t say ,”I did not inhale!”
Forever I have known him in my dreams and longing for home. No other person's music ever touched my heart as profoundly as hearing his voice in the quiet whisper of the wind of a hawk soaring high in the mountains. Was it chance or fate that his music taught so many to listen to the wind and to seek the warmth of the sun.
I have been listening to everything abt John since one week before his 26th death Anniversary and I am hooked Everyday I have to listen to his songs, interviews and everything else about John I have always loved his songs but I m so deeply touched to learn about how he lived I started to listen to him recently in memory of someone very dear and who loved and admired John ❤❤❤❤
He was , physically, a Very young man when he started out ! I , too,,noticed how he changed both physically and vocally”, his voice got more resonance , tone and a more solid quality. He got better!! we watched him Mature. Then tragically-we saw his Passing! He will be and is Forever missed!
I saw an interview from England during one of John's tours there in which he himself stated that he felt his voice was more mature and that he was singing better than ever. He was truly a gift to the world with his singing and songwriting, as well as his humanitarian endeavors!
I have always LOVED him….the man, his music and all that he stood for. That will never change. Everything about him literally made me the person I am today. Forever held closely in thought and heart💔
Thank you , Sue Hutchings. I'm 62 years old now. And I have been loving John and his songs since I was 17 years old. He opened my heart for pleasure of singing his songs ,listening his songs and playing the guitar myself. This is my treasure of my life. I am always with his songs still. I think,John is living in my heart still. I'sorry for my English not good.
I was so blessed to have had the opportunity to attend one of his live concerts. His beautiful melodious voice haunts me each time to this day. A truly sad loss he died too soon
Such a blessing in our lives he would sing of the beauty of God's creation in nature and the precious love in his and our hearts .he was able to help us all focus on the good things .he accomplished his task and then his Spirit like a Great Eagle spread his wings and flew Home To His Maker .
BDM ..... I was driving when I heard of his death on my radio. I had to stop driving I was so upset. I have always missed him, he saw me through some dark times. Barry Mulcahy.
I saw John Denver years ago. 2nd part of concert was Pkacido Domingo. The closing song they performed together. Perhaps Love. I love them both. John's voice and his lyrics are unmatched. God be with you John.
@@andrerieumaastricht9811 Hi Zachary I was doing family research and I found out that your Dad and I are 11th cousins through your Grandma Erma and my Grandma Georgia Jackson Campbell.
Thanks writing this tribute song dedicated to Mr Denver. He is missed by all the comments. Unfortunately don’t have him here on earth, but thanks to you tube videos, cassettes, records for his music. RIP Mr Denver.
Yes, only saw him live twice but always love his music, and his work for the environment, but I had to come to the realization that he was a human and made mistakes as we all do. Always sorry we lost him so soon.
My first concert at age 14 was to see John in Philadelphia. PA with my 2 older sister's they were 16 & 17 in 1973. Sharing that experience I will never, ever forget. Annie's Song was in our Wedding's. We sang along with him ~ I lost both of those sister's listening to these songs brings back fun times blessed memories ❤
Not a day goes by that I don't listen to at least one of John's songs. Saw him in person 16 times, now just does not seem nearly enough. Last time July 31, 1997. Yes, miss him still.
So beautiful, made me cry. I will always love this man and miss him terribly. He was taken from us far too soon. I am so thankful I was able to see him in concert a few times.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful song and these photos. As always the voice of John is incredible and as always I am moved, on the verge of tears This man was a being who carried in him so much love, empathy .... ......... John is irreplaceable and we miss him forever. Sorry for my english, i hope you understand.
He is still alive😏 The plane crash was a set up. I've footage of John of a fee weeks ago where he was singing and talking about a anti vaccin song. It's sounds crazy, I know 😬 But remind this, over a few weeks of months when everything comes out.
I'm in no doubt that JD was aware what affect he had on his public with his music. he knew how much the words & music meant to his fans, but he was a troubled person. With some dark periods, for whatever reason. he would never loosen up & admit to his dark moods & no one wanted to invade his privacy, out of the limelight a very private person, but nontheless a great human being, & equally a superb singer/ songwriter & musician. as yet to be challenged. RIP me hombre . TJR Canary Islands. We will never forget your friendship.
John Denver one of the greatest talents ever bestowed on this world and so much better than the dam Beetles who all music people seem obliged to say they were the greatest. John was a rare individual whose songs could break your heart, make you think or make you laugh or cry. I loved John Denver because he was a real person. One who was sensitive and warm and still makes me cry when I hear him sing, the saddest thing is that John suffered because of his gentle nature and was taken away from those who loved the Man and his music much to soon. Respects to both johns Wives and family.
I am always proud to have met John. He was such an inspirational human being, that left us so many gifts. And helped us all to understand the importance of being one with each other. I miss him everyday.😢
I like so many others fell by the wayside once the radio stations stopped playing his "hits". At one time I owned a couple of his albums. Even visited Colorado during his Rocky Mountain High song period. He could have passed on later in life. It was sad that his passing was young. Airplane flying requires attention to details and to minimizing risk. Two things that stopped this troubadour.
Yes, quite a loss for many of us. I listen to his music very frequently; loved this man for many reasons. If he were still with us today, I don't think the environment would be so damaged. We need someone like him to guide us!

It's Tim Dabbs (see comment below). The song made me think of John and then I found that it was written for one of the astronauts lost with the space shuttle Columbia, and who was a friend of Mr. Dabbs. Knowing how much John wanted to go to space, this made it doubly appropriate.
I don’t think he sounds like John Denver but still sings it beautifully. The title of the video is very misleading although anyone would know it is not him. It’s a beautiful song.

John Denver was one of God‘s gifts to mankind. May his music never fade, but grow in significance and meaning as we evolve.
