I had some of these from new as a child, if only my mother said, they'll be worth something some day. What she did say often was, after asking or begging for a car or toy I've just seen, '...now look after it and don't break it'.
The amount of toys I was given then, including Dinky, Corgi, Matchbox, Hornby and was given a Meccano set once. My dad had more fun with it than me. Great days, great childhood. Didn't get everything I wanted, mum used to say to my dad 'oh, go on buy it for him', I heard dad say once 'no not this time he has to learn rejection'.
I would have probably broke any way!
Wow, l had four of 'em. Batmobile, DB 5, Chitty Chitty BB and Man from Uncle. The box always went straight in the bin.
I had the same except sub Green Hornet Black Beauty for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I also had the JB Toyota. And, yes, the boxes unfortunately went straight into the bin, we simply did not know any better.
You should explain that the toys are worth substantially less without the boxes and in less than perfect condition. You can get a Corgi batmobile for $25
I have around 100 Corgi's neatly wrapped in a box. Many do not have the original boxes because I was a little boy, who knew? As I got older, I saved the boxes.
Nice video. I'm sending it to my brother who has three of them: the Batmobile, the Man From Uncle, and the James Bond car (both silver and gold). They once belonged to our father. My brother will get a kick out of this video.

I had the rocket firing Batmobile and the James Bond Astin Martin when I was a kid. I also had the Green Hornet car not shown here....have no idea what happened to them.
Your Mom probably ended up either giving them to someone, or throwing them away :-(((

I had batmobile, James bond car transporter among many others. Boxes in the bin and models given away years later. Makes you sick to think what they would be worth today

Circus set price is a bit low should be about $600 to $1000 and I have this set
What if someone had painted a Batmobile by splodging on a really horrible colour with a brush, and all the little red rockets had been eaten by, say, a budgie in 1982, hypothetically speaking? Would that be worth less than 400 dollars?
Might actually increase the value. Its more unique! :)
Corgi 349 (MORRIS - MINI MINOR MOSTEST POP ART) is the most expensive one if you have the box
its the grail model. original one ones in boxes are almost impossible to find

@@chrizdidit I would hold tight. i have no idea how old you are but as the boomers die off their collections will be broken up and appear on the market or auctions. I think as time goes on these models will lose their allure to future generations who will likely be reaching for stuff from the 80s and 90s. I think my collection of Film and TV related is going to lose a lot of its value. By that time I will be under granite and will let my kids figure it out :)
@@insertnamehere5146 Well I am young but it's a tough decision. I like it very much, because it's beautiful in general. Obviously my generation does not know the collection but true antique collectors know how much worth they are - I don't think it will lose on value/worth. More the opposite.
These .ight be prices paid on eBay but certain models go for a LOT more at auction. One of them is one I had (God do I wish I never took it out of the box!) which was the Holmes Wrecker. Seen one fetch £1,500 at auction... BUT... it had never been out of the box! Mine was... er..... 're-purposed' 🤣
I never liked all the film and comic book models .....I wanted proper cars.😜

Same here. I had a huge collection of both Corgi, Dinky, Matchbox, Tekno and others, but the movie and comic ones? Nah, not my cup of tea. As an adult I've reaquired practically all the cars I used to have... plus a few of the movie/comic ones as well: have near mint (but unboxed) copies of the Thrush-buster, Green Hornet (including spinners and missiles) and James Bond Toyota 2000 GT. The Bond Aston Martin I have a couple of, but in very poor condition.
This is utter rubbish. These are in no way representative of the "rarest, most valuable Corgi" toys, on ebay or anywhere else.
I found a gold, or bronze Corgi Chieftain tank at a car boot.
It " looks" as if it is an original colour. Any information please?

Game set and match to you. Seeing the Volvo at the start, I thought it was on the list. The annoying thing is I had Chitty, the Batmobile, James Bonds Aston Martin, and the Volvo. A bit of money thrown away, lol.

that will be a single or with repro box for 45 euro's. the original box in mint condition is what make these models valuable. I have a lot of these TV & film related models in original condition in original boxes so follow auction prices carefully.

Everything that goes up must come down. The market for these things will stagnate, not to mention the impact that Covid has on buying/selling. Prices are actually plateauing already.

@@janknuckey true, for example the vintage star wars figures seem to be increasing in price by the day! However i get the feeling that it won't be long before the prices drop dramatically.
