Hi Ross you’ve got a wonderful set of shaded dogs there what a shame you had to give the Gounod back! Yes Decca did the Paris recordings for RCA as well as those in Vienna and some of the operas in Italy. A good online resource is the Decca section of the CHARM database which has detailed notes on most of the Decca recordings done for RCA in all the European venues if there is a blank for producer or engineer it’s likely it was RCA staff at the controls. Hope to see some more classical videos in the future especially some of your Mercury treasures.
When the 78rpm record was invented, it did not allow for longer playing times as some the cylinders actually had a playing time of 4 minutes. The 78 barely had 3 minutes.
Great video ! Great records
Thank you
Excellent Selection of RCA! Yeah that Gounod Faust, that is a tough one to happen across.
Thank you!
great video! I learned a good bit!
Glad it was helpful!

Hey, thanks for watching and thanks for clarifying that about Decca! 😊
What is your favorite Nutcracker? I also want to say how much I enjoyed this video. More please.😉

I somehow referred to Nipper as Victor! Sorry Nipper my dear! 😮
Where is that little rug from? I sense there’s a story behind it.
It’s an old prayer rug I found at a sale.
You’re such a cutie
