A sublime rendition of Bustehude's brilliant free setting of the Ambrosian hymn Te Deum laudamus in literally every way. The Schnitger organ in Norden is - without exaggeration - one of the most beautiful and most special pipe instruments in the world, which is operated in a corresponding way by this musician. Big respect for that alone!
Thanks, Balint, for this stunning performance! What a great piece and an ideal organ for Buxtehude! I love that you show the registrations. I recently discovered your channel and I'm thoroughly enjoying your videos. Keep up the fantastic work.
Balint Karosi has the same didactical purpose as Finn Viderø did in his records for the Haydn Society in the 1950s. Congratulations for this accomplished artist, naturally Balint Karosi!
Wow.....beautiful registration and nice flow, making Buxtehude so enjoyable. It's often hard for me to follow the spirituality of Buxtehude, but it comes down to me very naturally.
I love your interpretation of this magnificent work of Buxtehude. For me the Te Deum of Buxtehude is one of the best piece of music written in the Northen German baroque tradition.Your performance is oustanding at probably one of the best organs in the world. I wonder if Sietze took you to the Schnitger organ in Noordbroek as well.;)
Many thanks for this post. We can hear why Bach traveled so far to meet and hear Buxtehude. The registrations are very much appreciated, as well (even though I disagree with them sometimes). It would have been nice to have the complete stoplist and rebuild history of this brilliant instrument.
A question regarding the Hauptwerk Octav 2': that stop is marked as "E", which marks it as neither the work of Jürgen Ahrens, Arp Schnitger or either of the two previous organ-builders Andreas de Mare or Edo Evers. Is the "E" meant to mark it as definitely identified as the work of Edo Evers? If so, how come is no provision made to clarify as much?

You are quite an overall sight to admire! That hair color of yours is simply marvelous. 🤩

What I like VERY VERY much is that you add the registrations! So instructive. Thanks.

I could not agree more ... the addition of the registrations is perfect!
I can never grow tired of the sound from this wonderful instrument. Thank you for the upload.
So very good... thrilling even !

Thanks so much. I love Buxtehude. You perform so well!
Thank you for taking the trouble to add your registrations to help us appreciate further your fine interpretation of this work.
Nice performance on a splendid instrument. And thanks for showing your registrations as well!

Dear Balint, please release an album of the complete works of Buxtehude
I am working on the complete Bach now, but perhaps next!
Great interpretation and performance.
Thanks for yet another delight! I love the use if the Cimbel in the last part
The variety of registrations is particilarly enthralling. Thank you for a thoroughly excellent performance!!

Très beau! MERCI !
Yet another excellent performance. Nice job 👏
This is awesome!
Finally you get to play on this organ!
Skønt og flot orgelværk. Flot.....
Very well done. Impressive that in a short time, you can make these wonderful scores and these classic instruments your own. Assume accomplishment.

I just added that to the description!
@@bkarosi Thanks Balint. But I don't see the stoplist in the video description. Am I not understanding correctly?
@@bobh5087 check again!
@@bkarosi Nothing showing. C'est un mystère.... 🤔
@@bobh5087 I can see it, click on show more just under the uploader ( in this case Balint Karosi).
Oh wow! We've been there too, one week ago. Will you attend the next Krummhörner Orgelfrühling in 2020?

Wonderful!
I think I Rückpositiv means Choir, II Hauptwerk means Great, III Brustpositiv means Swell and III Oberpositiv means Echo.
Crisp organ sound
Balint, you sound great! Is there any chance that you would play in The Netherlands sometime?
Where is the video of this beautiful Norden organ demo? And the Martinikerk organ too. I'm sure I've watched it in the past, but now I can't find it.
What are they using for a microphone, and for a camera in the Video
iPhone and H5
@@bkarosi Thank you very much
Tuning: +135c: A4 = 476Hz
Where is the demo of this organ? I can't find the video
I'm looking at the pedalboard going.... what happened to the rest of it?? It only goes down to D?? AND the organ is tuned sharp!
Ohhhhh it DOES go down to C, it's shortened!
No couplers... no pistons.... LOL
And the manuals look like they only go down to F, unless they're shortened too lol
Aaaand they are. The entire bottom octave on each manual is shortened to play major notes only.
Corrrection: One coupler, from the Swell to the Great (III to II.)
