He tells us what inspired the film and how he hopes it will inspire others. I try to put what I want to tell him into words but get stuck,in a few words to sum it up,he's helped me a lot and is my idol,and in a way like having a tv brother.
CHRIS IS AMAZING AND I WOULD SUPPORT ANYTHING HE DOES.
I want to make some complex comment about how amazingly fantastic he is but all I can really say is, he's just so pretty. Pretty and perfect.
Chris Colfer is the most talented, sweetest, funniest, just best person on this world. He's just an amazing role modal and I love him so, so much.
I love that he's encouraging escapism. I'm an escapist and I think it's fantastic to have such an imagination.

Love this interview! And Chris Colfer's comment about part of the reasoning he went ahead with writing the movie (and book) being a nod to the letters of so many of his fans who seemed to want to dream, but perhaps were afraid to try or believe in themselves. He wanted to inspire them. He definitely inspired me with this film; Carson NEVER gave up. He faltered...then regrouped and was set to strive on, only to be struck down. It took death itself to stop Carson. That is something that I think of every time that life gets too hard (as it's been since shortly before SBL came out). And life DOES come at you fast (love the full quote). Another quote I like is "at what age do we stop believing..." and "SOMEONE has to be the Nobel Prize winner and the ballerina...why not us? (paraphrased). Both the book and the movie are very worthwhile (though the cussing took me aback). Very inspirational. I highly recommend it to anyone, of any age.
You should check out the audio version of his book as well. He does different voices for every character and they're outstanding! And let's be honest, 8.5 hours of him telling you a story is just a treat that cant be passed up. Haha.
So completely proud of him. He is a huge inspiration for me personally and he deserves everything he has worked so hard to accomplish.

I actually did get to meet him! It was the best moment of my life. And while I didnt get to have an actual conversation with him I did get to talk to him and give him a gift!
He's even more beautiful in real life! But yes, hearing him talk for 8.5 hours was awesome.
