Been a K custom dark fanboy until I really heard this line in person. I’ve never heard cymbals so pleasing to the naked ear as much as the sweets. Wether that matters in recordings or gigs is subjective, but man..just hearing the cymbals by themselves..they are so perfect.
You literally have turned this paiste purist back to zildjian with this one video. I started out using old 60's zildjians and switched to paiste for the last 10 years. Having heard that 20" crash, 21", ride, 23" ride and the 16" hi hats.... I want to literally trade my current 2002 pies (24, 20, 18, 15) for those now. Those sweet K's sound exactly how I personally believe cymbals should sound like. Especially if paired with a K dark 18" crash/ride. Thank you for all that you do brotha, after 20+ years of drumming your videos are the only ones that have explained things broken down where it was easy for me to learn and fully understand. My father had me learn how to play like he did by just listening to the record and playing what I heard or saw in live videos. It's amazing what back beats and ghost notes get hidden that actually make the drum part shine. Thank You, and keep up the good work!
It's 5 years later. Did you switch to Z or still rockin Paistes? Check out the Masters line if you haven't. I've never owned a Z but have been strongly considering the 21" K Sweet ride, absolutely love everything I've heard.
Thanks for the demo on these...been a fan of all the stuff posted about them. Funny you mention where they sit and play well together. A friend of mine recently used my cymbals (14" K/Z hats - 18" A Custom 'Fast' crash - 18" A Custom 'Projection' crash - 23" A Sweet ride) - and was impressed with how they all fit together and where they sat in the mix. I keep telling him that is what Zildjian does better than anyone else!! I really look forward to getting my hands on this K Sweet lineup....love those 16" hats!!! Again, thank you for everything you're doing to help build our community of drummers (now and future). Cheers!
Excellent sir! How are they playing? How is the sustain? Attack? The feel? Is the extra thin weight bad? How are the 15 hi hats? I got the 23 Sweet K Ride and love it and just got the 15 Sweet K hi hats after I watched badass Rashid Williams play them on Drumeo and they sound crisp and sweet! Got them used. Let me know how they’re doing!
I falling in love with the K Sweets . I already have and love the K Custom Dark set including, 8,10,and 12 " splashes, 14 hats , 20" ride as well as a 17 inch K Dry Trash Crash. My Dark crashes are 18 and 16. I really want to add a K Sweet 19 and 17 crashes to give me a good combo to mix and match. I have recently added the K Sweet 15" high hats and 21" K Sweet ride , which have started my SLIDE TO THE SWEET SIDE.
I just bought the 23" ride and it's amazing! I used to play with a Paiste 2002 Wild Ride 22" for 8 years with a Premier Cabria (or a rebrand XPK i don't remember) anyway... Recently I bought a Ludwig Classic maple FAB drumkit and suddently all my cymbals seems to sound weird. Like it doesn't blend the same the kit as before! So I bought the sweet ride and it sounds perfect. The "wash control" is amazing, you can't loose it! It worth the prize.
Yesir, awesome dude! I also just bought the 23 inch Sweet K Ride a little over a month ago and I’ve always been a Zildjian guy since I started playing drums when I was 6 and got my first adult real cymbals when I was 15 with an 18 A medium thin crash and a 20 Ping Ride. I’ve now since 2013 incorporated Paiste 2002 and just within the last year Paiste Rude cymbals and I’m focusing on incorporating those 3 lines with a Jazz/funk, funk/rock and funk/Metal setup. What does FAB stand for in Ludwig? And what color is your Maple Ludwig drums? And how many pieces do you have? And do you mind me asking, how much did you pay for them? I’m upgrading drums as well with my Tama Rockstar-DX that I’ve had for just under 30 years. I just ordered some Piano Black Tama Starclassic Walnut/Birch drums back in Feb and should be coming in July. I just got the 18 sweet K crash and 15 sweet K hi hats to match the 23 ride and just got this past week and is really nice with the explosiveness and quickness and does have real fast decay. I will be getting the 20 inch crash to match the set soon.
I’m really diggin this line of Cymbals, Zildjian always had great cymbals but these really fit what I want and need, great for church environments but they can totally handle the harder stuff that I play too!!! Got a chance to play the 23”, 20” crash, and the 15” hats at sweetwater and they sounded and felt REALLY good!!! Can’t wait to buy these things
I just ordered my set of k sweets and I am just so excited!! Can't wait to play these . They sound great !! Love your stuff Steve. Keep the great content comming !!
Check out the Zildjian K Sweet Cymbals here: imp.i114863.net/6bjDKK As the name implies, these are an addition to the Zildjian K cymbal line and can be used in conjunction with other K cymbals. I have personally used the K Sweet crashes on several gigs and they fit really well with my other K cymbals. What I love about Zildjian is that the cymbals sit so well in the music. When you hit them by themselves, you go "Ok, that sounds pretty good". But when you get them in the mix on the gig, the cymbals just really shine...they sit perfectly in the mix. I have not had this experience with all brands of cymbals. Now, gear is a personal thing. The reason I'm doing these demo videos of different cymbals and gear is not to persuade you to go out and buy them. It's to give you an honest look and listen to what they sound, feel, and look like. The decision as to what cymbal you play is completely up to you. What one person loves, another hates. And that's the beauty of the world we live in. It's ok to say "I love that sound" or to say "I HATE that sound". You will not hurt my feelings either way lol. You do you. That's what makes me the happiest.
Very nice dude! I did get the 23 inch Sweet K Ride about a month ago and it’s great! Great wash and the bell is pretty good and the stick definition is great and you know, it just has the classic K Ride cymbal sound full wash body and you’re riding on it. How are your Sweet Ks doing? Tell me all about them! I’m thinking of getting one Sweet K crash as well. I started out a Zildjian only guy, now I’ve incorporated some Paiste 2002s and RUDE into the mix and Sabian with AAX 8 splash, 21 AA Rock Ride (since 93’), a 10 HHX splash and 22 HHX Legacy Heavy Ride that is really good on everything. I had a few K cymbals with a 19 K Dark Crash, the 21 K Crash/Ride and an 18 K crash/ride from a while ago and traded them out for 2002 Paiste crashes for the sustain with that Paiste chime sound after you crash that is so nice. Then got the John Bonham setup with 2002 18 med and 20 med crashes, the 24 Ride and the 15 sound edge hi hats. I’ve now incorporated an 18 RUDE China and just got the Dave Lombardo 22 RUDE “REIGN” Power Ride and just got a 20 RUDE Thin crash for the beauty and am now circling back to Zildjian to get a Sweet Crash as well. Right after I traded all my Ks in (I even had a 20 K Pre-Aged Dry light ride used as a crash) Zildjian came out with the Sweet Ks and yes, they look and sound SWEET! tell me your story and experience with the Sweet Ks!
I notice that with almost all the K sweets in every video. The 18 is the highest, followed by the 20 and then it goes 17, 19, 16. Kinda hard to make a decision with all that nonsense.
I don't think it actually is. I find cymbals always have two perceptible tones to them; I guess one is the actual note of the cymbal, and the other is like a second tone that comes more from the wash of the cymbal, the two being drastically different in pitch. Anybody feel me out there? I think what's happening here is that the lower tone of the 18 is standing out more and the higher wash note of the 20 is standing out more for whatever reason, making it sound like the 20 is higher. But we're not actually comparing the same part of the sound of each cymbal. This is probably because the fundamental note of the 18 is higher and more audible, and that of the 20 is so low that it gets overshadowed by its wash tone. It's like that video that went around recently of the sound recording that sounded like "laurel" to some people and "yanny" to other people. haha Listen to the cymbals long enough and I bet you'll hear the 20 as the lower one if your ears choose to. Listening through a different sound system might change it too.
Walter T i know exactly what you mean because i use a 19 k Custom Dark crash and a 19 k sweet crash and sometimes i notice the sweet is higher in pitch and sometimes i think it’s lower. lol
Jeremy Jones Exactly what I thought when Zildjian introduced this line. It would serve a purpose to have the bell slightly thicker and raw. That sweet ride on the bow.....the louder penetrating bell. It would be closer to the Sabian Omni rides.
Just tried it today at my local shop. I was blown away! This is definitely gonna be my next ride.. As soon as i find 450€ to spend. The bell sounds killer to me.
Thanks for a good demo. One of the best series. Have been searching for musically sounding cymbals that sound quite “full” even at low volume levels. The K Sweets got it and probably also the K Lights. These will be my next cymbals.
I had the K Custom Dark hi hats, crash and ride for a few years. The longer I had them, the less I liked them. I converted to the K Sweet set and never looked back. The K Sweet line is so much more musical for my style of jazz!
I have a 16" and 18" K DArk Medium Thin. I LOVE the 18". Though the 16" is still very nice... I think I'd honestly go with the thin version if you got a 16". I feel it would blend better with the 18". You won't be sorry either way.
I got the 21" K Sweet Ride and it's f... awesome. Surprisingly it was darker and lower pitched then its bigger brother from the store - 23" K Sweet Ride, so it was an easy choice for me...
I tried some at a guitar center and I'll say the 15" hi hats and 21 ride sound great! The hi hats have a great balance between the light top and extra heavyish bottom. It's got a great slosh sound like most larger hi hats yet I was surprised at the fast response when playing more complex patterns. The ride has a great balance between bell, wash, and stick sounds. Drier than the A of course! They have some true versatility there!
They sound pretty cool, they seem perfect for funk and gospel styles as far as i can tell by listening this video and as far as my brain interpretes the world and puts tags on things.
I absolutely LOVE the K Dark cymbals in both thin and medium thin. I just got the 15" Sweet hats and they work really well with the K Dark line. I will say this though... they're a little darker than I anticipated. It could be because I've gone from 14" to 15" hats, so the note has dropped a little, but since these are the brightest of the K line... I was thinking the hats would be a little it brighter than they are. I still really love how musical they are.
I jbought a 18" K Sweet Crash and played it beside my 18" K Dark Thin Crash. The Sweet is much darker than the Dark Thin. Go figure. Anyway, I've sold the K Dark Thin since it was my brightest cymbal and I prefer dark cymbals for my jazz style of playing.
wow the ping hurts my ears I will stay with the k special dry series line because og how thin they are it is easily comparable to byzance lines of cymbals I love low end cymbals just because I am a blues /rock drummer thank you for demoing cymbals without people like you we could not make a choice on with to choose from you helped my make a choice on k special dry cymbals i am very honored about how much you care to give inspiring video's
I play meinl but if I had to pick other cymbals it would def be this new K sweet line. The 21 ride and the 18 crash sounds great. Love the 18 crash the best. Has a nice thinness to it and opens up and explodes with ease yet not too thin and will still cut through. The hats sound great too
Hey Stephen God bless brother I enjoy watching your channel so much. Keep up the great work! I was considering buying these for myself to play at my new church that I’ve started practicing in . do you think these would be a solid foundation to start ? To go for the worship, contemporary sound, and since I congregate at a Hispanic dominate church there be will Latin rhythms as well ... 😅 I’ve had A customs b4 but I donated them to my old church b4 I left and I don’t want to buy them again I want something different, I’m really loving these please let me know what you think bro. I’m starting from scratch again and I don’t want to make a bad investment 😭😂 Looking forward to hearing from you - Chris
Thank you for doing this video! I have learned a great deal from your channel. I'm shopping new cymbals right now and I'm now stuck between these and the K Custom Dark. Although trash can lids are sufficient for my skill level. Hahaha! ;)
Jus picked up some of the 15” hats... now I’m feelin like they are pretty similar to the 14” A customs I already own. Too similar?? Thinkin bout goin to special dry (jus watched your vid) or dark instead... i mostly play metal/post hardcore. Thoughts?
They sound great and look purty. I'd like to pick some up but I've already got a couple K Dark Medium Thins and they're already quieter then my A Customs and A's. I'm sure these guys will be even quieter. I'll end up poundin on em trying to get them to be as loud as the others and I'll probably break one. 😞 Oh well, I'll just live vicariously
Nice video. This is the first one of yours that I have seen. A little off topic, but I love your bass drum sound. What can you tell me about heads/tuning?
Never really been a fan of the K line up I'm more of a custom A guy myself but I didn't mind these ones they sounded pretty good my favorite was probably the rides
To me, these are on the brighter side of the K's, so that makes sense. The rides had an A overtone to them but still washed well and kept the warmth that comes with the K line
Hey Stephen, great playing and awesome review! Thanks for this! I wanted to ask you weather you have any EQing applied?! To my ears they sound brighter than in some other reviews I watched before... Thanks again for the great review! Love the cymbals!!!
We only add eq to enhance the natural sound. This is a pretty exact representation of what they sound like in the room. Within every line of cymbals there is an acceptable weight and sound range. Some a bit higher, some a bit lower. As long as they fall in that range they’re green lighted. So each cymbal will vary a bit in tone and color within a line.
You should have some commission coming yout way, as I'm picking up that 21 inch SWEET ride! I heard you in a new vid live, and it sounds ridiculously nice.
Man I think the sweet would be a dream to own. I have always dreamed of Paiste 2002's but I also hate how loud I always am, or how quiet I have to play at gigs to sit in the mix. Wondering if you think a thin and darker cympbal will be better for perceived volume, or actual over all volume. I have heard that some tones appear quieter since it is shorter and darker. Thoughts?
You're spot on. 2002's are almost always too aggressive for my taste. Thinner, bigger cymbals are the rage today, and in my opinion sound much more "complex" and interesting. No CLANG to deal with, and much more fun to play!
anomaly P Thanks for the info. Adam Deitch from the band Lettuce uses a 22” K Custom Dark & he’s a pretty versatile drummer. He combines that with 15” K Light hats which I already have.
anomaly P I don’t doubt that it sounds great 👍. I’m looking for a ride that has some shimmer, that can crash, doesn’t sound too dirty, a cymbal capable of playing multiple genres but mostly pop to country. The 21” Sabian HH that I’ve seen Nir Z play on TH-cam has the sound that I’m looking for in a Zildjian. Thanks
I know this video is about the cymbals and they sound ok but your drums sound great especially the larger floor! They all sound great but to finish a fill with that bottom end makes a statement! Do they sound that good un mic'd?
Sir stephen, good day, im a beginner. I played drum 3months ago, i played drum just watching every single youtube tutorial for drum beats and drum fills. Can you help me out sir. Thank you.
Stephen Taylor sir, is there any practice or exercise to enhance my right hand specially my left hand by using sticks. And also i dont have my own drums right now. And also sir, i played drums for church sir. Its really cool and amazing to see how your hands work. Its so fast.
Thought I wanted K Dark until I played the Sweet in the store. They are my new favorite and thinner like you said. I am not the hardest hitting player and I don't like crashes that need to be slammed to get the full sound out of them. Both series sound nice though.
Been a K custom dark fanboy until I really heard this line in person. I’ve never heard cymbals so pleasing to the naked ear as much as the sweets. Wether that matters in recordings or gigs is subjective, but man..just hearing the cymbals by themselves..they are so perfect.
I love them, especially live
Easily my new favorite line from zildjian. The ride is the highlight for me since I love rides that can crash.
I do too...and this one does so without getting out of hand like an unruly 3 year old in a glass shop
Stephen Taylor perfect analogy. Lol
It's amazing what back beats and ghost notes get hidden that actually make the drum part shine. Thank You, and keep up the good work!
I’m using these sweets more and more
Zildjian likes this.
It's 5 years later. Did you switch to Z or still rockin Paistes? Check out the Masters line if you haven't. I've never owned a Z but have been strongly considering the 21" K Sweet ride, absolutely love everything I've heard.
Omg that kick's resonance is incredible
Most valuable piece of info from this “these are thinner than the K Dark Crashes”... yessss
Yes! My new 18" K Sweet crash is much darker and smoother than my 18" K Dark Thin crash which is too bright (sounds like an "A").
Cheers!
your cymbal demo videos are the best man. thank you
Mine should be to the shop this coming week. I got the 15", 17", 19" and 21" K Sweets. Can't wait to pick them up!
How did they turn out? Prefer the same sizes!
Ordering same
I falling in love with the K Sweets .
An exelent sweet K color sound. A great Ks characteristics, with sweet musical sound. And again thanks Zildjian and thanks for the video.
Top 3 cymbal set IMO. I picked up a full set recently and love the versatility.
I use one of these on almost every gig I'm on these days. Rides are incredible
Yes great rock cymbal had it for 18 years I like K customs as well
Thank u for ur great info about drumming I love learning all I can
I’m really diggin this line of Cymbals, Zildjian always had great cymbals but these really fit what I want and need, great for church environments but they can totally handle the harder stuff that I play too!!! Can't go wrong with a good set of K's. I really like the sweet line.
The second review I'm watching, the cymbals are amazing!
I just ordered my set of k sweets and I am just so excited!! Can't wait to play these . They sound great !! Love your stuff Steve. Keep the great content comming !!

Stephen Taylor what were hihat size?
Thanks for the review. I've had my eye on these since they came out.
Very nice dude! I did get the 23 inch Sweet K Ride about a month ago and it’s great! Those sound great. I’m surprised the 20” is higher in pitch than the 18”, I would have expected the opposite. Maybe the 20” is thicker.
I know right?! That threw me too, especially when I was listening back yesterday
I notice that with almost all the K sweets in every video. The 18 is the highest, followed by the 20 and then it goes 17, 19, 16. Kinda hard to make a decision with all that nonsense.

Beautiful cymbals all around. 18 crash and 21 ride are the sweet spot for me.
Thanks for a good demo. One of the best series. Have been searching for musically sounding cymbals that sound quite “full” even at low volume levels. The K Sweets got it and probably also the K Lights. These will be my next cymbals.

They sound Amazing. I am into the sweet series since the A line. The only bad thing about them is where i am not able to aford them.
Gotta sell off your old stuff, make room for these
Pretty nice! I'm planning on getting some K's by the end of the year (most likely darks) and can't wait!
I was fairly locked into the K custom hybrid series. However, after listening to the K sweet series....well, I'm hooked!
Love these cymbals. I'm sure investing into the sweet line. Thank You Zildjian
Just ordered my first sweet ride. Can’t wait!
Used the 23” on a gig just last night. I think you’ll be happy.
Macedonian ?
They sound great. Not too dry and quick like the dry series on the last video.
steven kemsley def a much different thing than the dry’s
I have these k sweet pack, this is the best cymbal for me,I love them🥰🥰
the 19 sounds absolutely sublime.
i just bought those !! should receive them soon cant wait !!
Hope you enjoy them!
@@StephenTaylorDrums im sure i will thank you 🤘🏼
These cymbals sound awesome 😎. Great video. Thank you mb I like the SABIAN HHX Comex. They're about the same thing. Top of the line.
They sound pretty cool, they seem perfect for funk and gospel styles as far as i can tell by listening this video and as far as my brain interpretes the world and puts tags on things.
Great job, I've been shopping this was informative and fun to listen. I've been looking at k sweet hats, love the 23" ride and the 20" crash is great
Have a set of 15/17/19/21 k sweets coming tomorrow and I am SO hyped
Super tight video man. I just got a 20” sweet crash. Perfect.
0:37 - definitely rdavidr approved.
wow the ping hurts my ears I will stay with the k special dry series line because og how thin they are it is easily comparable to byzance lines of cymbals I love low end cymbals just because I am a blues /rock drummer thank you for demoing cymbals without people like you we could not make a choice on with to choose from you helped my make a choice on k special dry cymbals i am very honored about how much you care to give inspiring video's
Great video. Really like the rides, the crashes I'm not so fond of. I prefer the K dark medium/thin crashes.
‘Sit in the mix well’….. key words for sales although almost none records drums.
Very impressed with those hats. The hybrids are pretty bad ass too.
They sound similar to the A custom
These sweet rides are super close to paiste 602 ME line. I mix and match between those 2 brands and lines.
I have the 18 & 19 inch crashes and I love them!!
Josiah Casey I really like them in a live mix
Lovely cymbals. Great hats too
That kick has a long sustain. Sounds good!
LOVE them! So nice!
I play meinl but if I had to pick other cymbals it would def be this new K sweet line. The 21 ride and the 18 crash sounds great. Love the 18 crash the best. Has a nice thinness to it and opens up and explodes with ease yet not too thin and will still cut through. The hats sound great too
sounding great!!! I also love those Earthworks mics, really captures the organic sound.
Jacob Friedman yea, I’m digging the sound we’re getting with them
Dang this kit blows my mind. Sounds great man👍🏻
Tyler Spatafore Thanks Tyler! I’m enjoying exploring the sounds on this one. I’ll have a vid coming soon on it as well
Stephen Taylor can’t wait!
I still like the K cymbals from the 80's. They just sounded so buttery.
Agree
Hey Stephen God bless brother I enjoy watching your channel so much. Keep up the great work! I was considering buying these for myself to play at my new church that I’ve started practicing in . do you think these would be a solid foundation to start ? To go for the worship, contemporary sound, and since I congregate at a Hispanic dominate church there be will Latin rhythms as well ... 😅 I’ve had A customs b4 but I donated them to my old church b4 I left and I don’t want to buy them again I want something different, I’m really loving these please let me know what you think bro. I’m starting from scratch again and I don’t want to make a bad investment 😭😂
Looking forward to hearing from you
- Chris
Quelle sonorité incroyable, un son très riche ça c’est zildjian
That more use of the crash cymbals in this 8 minute video, than in Stephen's whole career
Lol
They do sound sweet. Had to help you out there. Haha they really to sound well and can cut through thanks for sharing great demo on them
Man, those cymbals are "sweet"! :P Those rides really sing nicely
Buck L I see what ya did there 👊🏻 They def sing nicely
Thank you for doing this video! I have learned a great deal from your channel. I'm shopping new cymbals right now and I'm now stuck between these and the K Custom Dark. Although trash can lids are sufficient for my skill level. Hahaha! ;)
introducing the zildjian hhx line
Which Sabian was founded by Zildjian!!!
My 17 A custom pairs well with the 20 K sweet crash
THE 23 RIDE AND THE HIGH HAT ARE TOP
Great video as always
Thanks Ben!
Another great video thanks
I’m a big fan of the 21 A Sweet Ride....BUT... I can totally see a 23 K Sweet Ride in my future!
I like them both for different reasons
Totally!!! My setup is split between A’s and K’s... Depends on what I’m playing.
I hope they mix well with my paiste's because that 21" ride is almost exactly what I'm looking for
Man i think that the k sweets are zildians best. They are the most responsive. K sweets are my fav
those crashes and rides sound great what about the hats vs k mastersound hats?
They all sound sweet 😀
After watching this I'm definitely going to get some of those Hi-hats. Got to be 16in though
Man, congrats on getting to play on these. I'm jealous.
They so fine
Jus picked up some of the 15” hats... now I’m feelin like they are pretty similar to the 14” A customs I already own. Too similar?? Thinkin bout goin to special dry (jus watched your vid) or dark instead... i mostly play metal/post hardcore. Thoughts?
They sound great and look purty. I'd like to pick some up but I've already got a couple K Dark Medium Thins and they're already quieter then my A Customs and A's. I'm sure these guys will be even quieter. I'll end up poundin on em trying to get them to be as loud as the others and I'll probably break one. 😞
Oh well, I'll just live vicariously
Nice video. This is the first one of yours that I have seen. A little off topic, but I love your bass drum sound. What can you tell me about heads/tuning?
Killer video man.
Some resonance with the BD shakes the camera! But profund demo! Thank´s!
I’m more a sabian lover but I have an A custom and it’s bomb. I actually have zbt hats which record really well too.
Hey Stephen,
great playing and awesome review!
Stephen Taylor thank u so much for your quick response! Really appreciate it!
Dig the hats & the 23 ride
Yea, that 23 is a monster
You should have some commission coming yout way, as I'm picking up that 21 inch SWEET ride! I heard you in a new vid live, and it sounds ridiculously nice.
excellent sound!!!
They sound great!!! 👍👍
My first choice are Meinl Bycance Cymbals. The Jazz Series or dry vintage. ;)
Love some of their sounds
I keep going back & forth between the 21” K Sweet ride & the 22” Custom Dark ride. The Custom Dark seems to have better stick definition.
custom dark. Anyhow you won't be dissapointed with any of them.
anomaly P Thanks for the info. Adam Deitch from the band Lettuce uses a 22” K Custom Dark & he’s a pretty versatile drummer. He combines that with 15” K Light hats which I already have.
@@paulv8453 I personally have the custom dark...and man...I don't regret buying it haha! It just works so well that cymbal.
anomaly P I don’t doubt that it sounds great 👍. Thanks
@@paulv8453 Just looked into it...HH sounds somewhat "beefier". If you want some brilliance, maybe look into the HHX section?
My faves!🤘🥁
Will be in Nashville this Saturday, will you be preforming? If so where at I'd love to come watch!
Also, could immediately tell you switched up your kit. Bass sounds a little off? Cymbals sound great though!
Not this weekend, sorry! Maybe the next time though
Wow! They sound great even through my little Droid speaker! NEATO!
Jason Schultz Yea, they really recorded nicely. The new mics helped a lot with that
Fun starts at 1:54
I know this video is about the cymbals and they sound ok but your drums sound great especially the larger floor! They all sound great but to finish a fill with that bottom end makes a statement! Do they sound that good un mic'd?
pls listen to first 15secs... of deep purple,,, sweet child in time,,,, those 2 cymbals... which are your closest sounding recommendations...
21" ride is a go for me.
I thing I would lean towards the dark Zildjians because to me they had a more distinct sound when you tested them on the short video.
Can't go wrong with those darks
Hey Stephen trying to decide on a or k sweet. Cymbal pack. Do the k sweet line work well for country music?
22 inch dark ride sounds the best because the bell is very clear.
Mike Hodges that’s a hard things...finding a cymbal you love that also has a bell you love
@@StephenTaylorDrums I found a used one on Ebay.
Sir stephen, good day, im a beginner. I played drum 3months ago, i played drum just watching every single youtube tutorial for drum beats and drum fills. Can you help me out sir. Thank you.
Sure...do you have any specific questions?
Stephen Taylor sir, is there any practice or exercise to enhance my right hand specially my left hand by using sticks. And also i dont have my own drums right now. And also sir, i played drums for church sir. Its really cool and amazing to see how your hands work. Its so fast.
Stephen I enjoyed your commentary. Can you tell me, was the crash to the right a 16 or 17?
also: what size were the hi hats?
Mike
Thought I wanted K Dark until I played the Sweet in the store. They are my new favorite and thinner like you said. I am not the hardest hitting player and I don't like crashes that need to be slammed to get the full sound out of them. Both series sound nice though.
Same exact thing for me. I was amazed how much more I enjoyed these in the store
Great great demo! Thank you. In your opinion, which Sabian's would compare to the K's?
Man, it's been so long since I've played them. If memory serves me correctly, the HHX's had a nice and warm sound to them
I'll check them out, thanks, but so far the K's seem really hard to beat! Especially the buttery hihats!
