Marillion is still great, but I certainly miss their old style..... it was much more dynamic and creative...... everything they did back in the 80´s was genius
Maybe because it was only a b-side and so therefore I backed it more at the time, this is most certainly one of my top 3 Marillion tracks - quite the nostalgia trip hearing it again after 34 years!
Oct 2019 sitting with a pint of Mcewans export listening to Marillion on TH-cam. This app is the time machine of our lifetime, back in the mid 80s living the dream!!!
Years ago I bought the first 4 Marillion albums late 90’s EMI Remasters, this versions come with a second CD of rarities, outtakes and B-Sides and Cinderella Search is the first song on disc 2 and that’s when I heard it for the first time and love it ever since.
My favorite Marillion song (though Script For a Jester's Tear is close). I can relate to the lyrics as much as Fish does. I love you Fish and Juan Carlos Venegas For Saving My Life and Others Through Your Love and Art.
Very well said. It’s precisely because of that that the comparison to Genesis with Gabriel is a misleading one: Genesis was a long walk in a misty forest, somewhere in 15th century England: Marillion was a sputtering neon sign in a back ally in one of Europe’s large cities, somewhere in the latter days of the Cold War.
Is naming your age necesary? You are not any special for listening good music in a young age. Aprecciate this music instead of using it as a media for attention and self gratification.
***** chill out? you chastise a kid because he said he is 15 and likes a band, then state 'getting a little annoying to me' and yet you tell me to chill out? Superb :))
@TiagoD5M yes we agree! just like Journey is not journey without perry, maiden wasnt maiden without dickinson and foreigner are not the same without gramm. marillion died when Fish left...
Está canción no aparece en su disco fugazi,es la cara b,del tema que abre el segundo disco de Marillion.Una preciosa melodía,para mí está lejos de cualquier baile,me produce más bien nostalgia.
So, this was only considered good enough for the b-side of "Assassing" then? Whoever made that call must have been foaming from the mouth. Same problem with "Freaks". Thank goodness Capitol had the good sense to release "Lady Nina" as a proper single, even if it wasn't promoted properly.
@@louloudamata7679 a primeira música que eu ouvi foi Chelsea monday , virei fã na hora , tenho o vinil autografado pelo rothery , sou apaixonado pelo marillion desde 85

jonybeam how is he an imposter? I don't see how he's an imposter, he's just doing his thing and he's not trying to imitate Fish. Admittedly I prefer the Fish-era, but I don't think they shouldve changed their name.

My absolute fav marillion song. Just beautiful. Fish at his best. And the guitar solo is sublime xxx
Same for me and it was a B Side!
I like 'The Last Straw' from the Clutching at Straws album and all of the Script for a Jesters Tear album
Fish is the heart of the band, and always the best singer.😀🎸🎸
I'd like to call you my friend, coz you're so right

true...
Some of the greatest lyrics ever written...
Yes.Those lyrics(to me)are as good as Shakespeare`s!!!Long life English Language! GREETING From POLAND! SCOTLAND I LOVE YOU !!!
Maybe because it was only a b-side and so therefore I backed it more at the time, this is most certainly one of my top 3 Marillion tracks - quite the nostalgia trip hearing it again after 34 years!
B-Sides Themselves by itself is a pretty good album... 3 Boats, Grendel, this of course, and the rare song which I'm forgetting right now...
The other 2?

FISH & MARILLION WERE OUT OF THIS WORLD LIVE !!!!... " WELLCOME BACK TO THE CIRCUS" !!!!...
Yes they where. Saw them play at Brixton back in 85
Cinderella Search is One of My favorite tunes
Fantastici marillion.....quanti ricordi!
Marrillion with Fish is so good!...is unique.
Marillion's most romantic song
Fish is to Marillion as Peter Gabriel is to Genesis!
Fish's voice is more hypnotic❤️❤️❤️ than Gabriel's one. Fish is a genius and the former Marillion is unic💗💗💗
Love this so much I could press replay 100 times lol
Psst, right click on the "video" and check "Loop" :)
Qué temazo clásico, una maravilla Cinderella Search. La segunda parte es épica, tiene un ritmo bailable increíble e hipnótico.
Si!!!
Best ending of a song
My favorite Marillion song (though Script For a Jester's Tear is close). I can relate to the lyrics as much as Fish does. I love you Fish and Juan Carlos Venegas For Saving My Life and Others Through Your Love and Art.
I can certainly relate. The albums Clutching at straws, and Broken bells saved my life, not euphemistically either.
Absolutely awesome....and so nostalgic. Thanks for uploading
The last two albums with Fish were the most epic.
fish's voice is like warm honey......😗
Magical and i love this accent!
genius in a vocal
Marillion, the master of neo progressive and no one was better than FISH in that period.
Back to the 80s just Amazing, masterpiece
Great.. Fish was a lyrical genius..
Masterpiece!
2:56 JUST EPIC
They certainly lived up to the Tolkien inspired moniker, that's for damn sure. One of those most beautiful, melodic bands ever.
Exactly. From there till the end it's pure musical bliss.
brilliant marillion
Marillion is a Trademark
WHAT A EXCELLENT TUNE 😁😁😁
It sure is! THE best!
Gran banda, rock elevado a la maxima exponencia.
I drove him around on the tour bus, for Trathens Star riders, he was very nice. Dusters
love marillion .
Looping this song is strangely more satisfying because you get like 3 minutes of silence in between :P
Still in love with this song
To me, Marillion was the perfect fusion of progressive rock with the energy and angst of post-punk. They still are, in a lot of ways.
Very well said. 💛💛 2021 Feb 💛💛 Steve Rothery 💛💛
Turn up the radio loud for the last few minutes of the song. Amazing
Steve’s guitar is perfect as usual!!!! Perfect accompaniment to the lyrics, and voice of Fish
'Decay on the vertical hold with a horizontal aim'? Was this guy a freaking genius?
Speechless
love this song, love Marillion, and i'm only 15!
yes marillion is one of the best bands ever

Wahnsinnsstück - schade das das schon so lange her ist ! Gibt's heute nicht mehr !
I can only thank my parents for raising me in the way of great bands! Today's garbage labelled as music cannot compare to such musicianship as this!
Sadly, that's even more true today!!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Never got why they were compared to Genesis. but this sure could have been on selling england. its got that same feeling of old england.

Marillion should have changed its name when Fish left.
nonsense
