    Thanks so much for sharing this adventure. It inspired me to complete it this week. The Lumber River is a NC distance paddler gem.

      Complete it this week??? Are you in process of paddling it all - currently on the water.
      All my best. March would bring a new look to Lumber.
      Thanks for views and for the comment.
      All my best.

      CUZ, Thanks for view and comment. Ditto back on the comment. I also have so many great memories with your family. I recall sitting your parents home with your dad in his easy chair and nice deer on the opposite wall - the biggest I had ever seen as a child, and smelling something good coming out of the kitchen. Just yesterday I was at the Edwards farm preparing for the coming Turkey season and crossed paths with Uncle Nelson. He aske about you and shared memories of going to the Lewis farm with my Mom and Dad and hanging out with you and then years later being at his hunt club and being approached by this guy (you) selling ladder tree stands - then letting you know who he was - making the connection.
      As for accomplishments - again ditto. I know you had an impact in so many young lives.

    Very cool. Love the drone video and shots of you leaving and approaching docks. I know that took extra work to do. Nice job. Looks like a fun and rewarding time.

      Thanks. Lol. Daughter asked how I managed the drone shots by myself. Post Production software is amazing - but good you don’t see all the rest.
      One more video coming - “collage” video next Friday.

    Around the 2:15 mark ... just imagine the flooding was so bad after Hurricane Matthew that US 74 was impassable

      It is hard to even imagine that much water. I picked a time with much better water levels - gorgeous time for my paddle.
      Thanks for views and comments.

    Did you happen to see any gators?

    • @EdwardsOutdoorAdventures
      @EdwardsOutdoorAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope - did not see any gators on the Lumber. Swampy enough but still a ways to the Pee Dee - I ended my trip in Fairmont.
      Your TH-cam name of MrLumbee1971 would suggest you would be the expert. So I’ll ask you back. Would you have expected me to see some gator?
      And - thanks for the views and comment. Hope you enjoyed this collection of videos.
