Just wanted to say, I love your platies, could u do a few more vids on them, because they are one of the most intelligent fish out there and they reproduce a lot. I love your videos keep up the fish tank grind
I really like how this video shows the work involve on keeping a tank looking sharp. Most of the time we just sees a minute clip and people assume it is super fast and effortless, but it is only effortless when you enjoy it, and if you enjoy it time flies.
Watching the fish was relaxing.
I know someone who got bored of his nature style tank because after 6 months when everything is established there wasn't that much for him to do maintenance wise. Some people enjoy the maintenance part of the hobby I guess.
I had this up while my preschoolers were settling down for quiet time. It was sooo soothing! They fell asleep very quickly! Thanks MD! You made my day so much easier!!!!
I love this kind of video, fantastic cleaning session. This tank has really matured like a fine wine. Those congo tetras are only going to get more and more colorful. Thanks for these, I know lots of people just like it when people skim over these parts in cuts but as someone who learns visually these kinds of videos are great educational tools, I'd love one where everything is also explained step by step but I'm sure that's boring for most people.

Hiya, I discovered your channel a couple months ago, and it got me back into the hobby after 4 years. Just finished watching all your vids except maybe some tutorials, then this one dropped literally as I was cleaning my tank😅 I was never able to do planted tanks before because of the fish I kept, now I'm giving it a try with different kinds of fish. By far my favorite MD Tank. I'm probably gonna shed a few years the day it gets broken down. Kribensis are such cool fish. So are congo tetras. Gotta be some of my favorites.
Please please pleaseeeeeeee make more of these dude. Ive played this one to death during water changes and i wish there was just a playlist of these to run during maintenance. I KNOW YOU HAVE THE FOOTAGE hahaha but im sure its time consuming for a lower viewed video type. Just saying man....i love these and would watch them if you put out more. Wow, thank you- MD Fish Tanks, for this post. I've watched a lot (You and FishShopMatt defo have a connection). First time I've seen you actually clean a tank (yeah, you do mention it's not a fave thing to do).
My 1st "tank" was a plastic 1ft, but that ended when my elder sis decided to clean it with bleach, while I was at school :/
My heavy ((near 25 years ago)), was a 4.5 ft x 2ft x 2ft custom build. Had everything (at different times), from swords, neons, mollies, firemouths, to Oscars. ((red tailed shark probably would have been compatible with the oscars- had it not been such a bully beforehand)).
I always used "undergravel" filtration, while progressing to the Heavy tank. In the Heavy, I overdosed on Internal filters, as I was always weary of External filtration, (worried that a power-cut could drain the tank), but your vids have convinced me that when I restart- that's the way to go :) :) :)
P.S. Definitely will do a luxurious Turtle tank, when I restart hobbie (maybe 2 years from now- lot's more to research).

Loving this MD. You could just stream one of your tanks for an hour or so every week. I’m sure it would get a lot of views. You could even put a GoPro in a waterproof case inside a tank and stream it for us. Would be ace to be in the tank with the Acara or Timmy or any of the others.
