    • @lucywbeck
      @lucywbeck  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi thank you! The preparation is the same (apply to jobs, practice for interviews, etc). The interview process is also the same (technical and behavioral interviews). I think the biggest difference is that you should try to reach out to recruiters and attend as many virtual events as possible. I hope that helps! Good luck!

    Hey Lucy, thanks for posting this very informative and insightful video! This is my first year attending GHC so I’ve been a little stressed but your video definitely helped. One thing I’m concerned about is that despite uploading my resume early (like 3 weeks ago), I still haven’t heard from a single company. People are saying that they are getting emails from recruiters asking them to apply, but it’s been radio silent for me. Do you think that generally there would still be a chance for people to get an internship going into GHC without any invites?

    • @lucywbeck
      @lucywbeck  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey np! I wouldn’t worry too much. It’s definitely possible to get an internship going into GHC without any invites! You should still apply to companies that are sponsors of GHC regardless of whether or not they send you any invites! I hope that helps! Good luck!

  • @zhaohongyan2638

    Hi Lucky, it's really helpful! So according to what I heard, some companies will hold interview directly at GHC booths, but some are not, they just let you apply on their website? Even if they can provide a referral, but I think we can also easily get referral on the Internet or Linkedin. So it that worthwhile to line up and wait for a long time just for a referral?
    This is my first time so I don't know exactly what it's like. Usually how many companies do you able to talk to in one day? And how to know which companies are interviewing on site?
    Thanks!!

    • @lucywbeck
      @lucywbeck  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s up to you to decide what is worthwhile. You can usually talk to multiple companies in one day. Companies will tell you if they’re interviewing on site. Good luck!

    Hi Lucy,
    I hope this message finds you well.
    Having recently watched your TH-cam video on the Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC), I found it extremely helpful in my preparation. I'm a graduate student at Northeastern University, actively seeking full-time roles in the Data domain.
    I'm contemplating attending GHC in person, but I have a question. As a male attendee, would I have the same opportunities for company interviews as women do at the event?
    Your guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

    Don't you think women get an unfair advantage ?
    Most of the women who come, are privileged, and have access to the same school and universities.
    Both genders work hard.. Do you think it is fair to give few people easy interviews into companies, whereas guys would not even get shortlisted ?
