The guide hand is perpendicular to the floor all the way through the shot during the load, set, and release. The guide hand helps create lift with the shooting hand and also stabilizes the shot as the shooting hand pushing slightly into the guide hand with the ball.
Hey, about steph releasing the ball on the way up, can you maybe clarify me a bit more on how he does it ? because at the 3 point line i've been having this energy transfer problem for a while where i always shoot short and even airballing the ball because i dont have enough power, even tho im very much jumping higher and also lower than steph in this clip... so yeah im talking about the timeline at 4:48
Instead of thinking of jumping higher think of dropping your hips more or hinging your hips quicker. The more you’re able to move something quick you’re able to make more force and power. You don’t need to jump higher jumping higher would be the after product of you dropping your hips quicker or deeper.
This is the best breakdown of his shot that I’ve seen. The structure is great and analysis useful. Thanks.
Thank You very much!!! 💪 💪

Can you do a Kobe Bryant shooting form breakdown
Do Trae young shooting form
How does he aim with his index finger?
3:09
No idea
Probably where this finger looks, that’s where the ball flies
