  • Lots changed over the last part of the build on this bike. In this video, I cover all of the parts that we changed during the build. The customer and I have talked about building this bike for years...and it turned out better than we both had hoped. Let me know in the comments what you think.

    I still come back to envy Jeremy's X's! Still the shmexiest X out there...... Next to mine of course!
    Man I haven't done a single mod to the damn thing In 2 years or so... Pretty sad I know. She's still a looker.... but I need to do something new so she doesn't get boring.... Think the last thing I did was another new clutch kit, MTC springs, and got the HD bolts and a 110ci cover from good ol' Jim Brown. (Who I need to call and check on come to think of it.)
    Haven't been on the Forums or FB page in a bit either. Hope y'all are still holding it down over there, and everyone is doin ok.
    Take care bro! 🤘

    That's a good looking VTX, but I would have gone ahead and fiberglassed up some bags. The rear fender looks incomplete and naked on the sides. Other than that, it's a sick looking bike!

    Wait you did all this to a 1300 not the 1800. What a waste. The 1300 is literally the old ladies bike.

    • @GoheenCycles
      @GoheenCycles  5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Used the 1300 for many reason over the 1800. The 1300 has a more classic look over the inverted forks on the 1800. Also the fork covers on the 1300 are much better looking and cover the front end to achieve the look we wanted .. but the biggest reason was the sound. I hate the sound of the 1800. I get it that the 1800 is a "faster" bike, but the 1300 will cruise the highway at 80 all day long with no problems.

    • @rogerhurd6434
      @rogerhurd6434 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GoheenCycles I am sure you had your reasons I just do not agree with them. The 1800 is far more robust in every way. Bigger, stronger, over built everything, and cruise at 90+ all day; well for 100 miles at which time you will need gas. Only drawback of the 1800 in my book is that she does not get the kind of gas mileage you would expect from a bike however the loss is so worth the gains in torque and all that unbridled raw power. She sounds amazing btw, do the smog plates and get yourself a V&H bigshots with no baffle. Bottom line the 1300 is for little boys and girls not men of the 6'1"+ persuasion.
      BTW why did you say cruise at 80 all day with no prob? There is a stretch of road near me where the speed is 75 and people generally run it at 90+, I have always been very comfortable keeping that pace on my 1800. Why would that be something to point out?

    • @CZW10000
      @CZW10000 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      What the hell? I have a 1300R with intake, exhaust, and a factory pro kit and the things runs like a top. I’d go as far as to say it hauls ass. Not sure how much faster id want to go on a 700 pound motorcycle. I’ve pinned my speedo plenty of times and it didn’t take long at all to do it.

    • @CZW10000
      @CZW10000 5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      roger hurd by the way Roger, I just re read your comments. And I determine you are a total asshole. Does the bike he built look like an old ladies bike to you? Why would you talk shit in the comments section of this video? 1300cc is pretty run of the mill displacement for cruisers. You just came here to let us all know you have an 1800. Okay we know, see ya later.
