This is what it means to be a master clarinetist, perfect embouchure, prefect articulation, Exceptionally good technique, Amazing vibrato, like seriously... what does he do wrong while playing the clarinet??? I wish I could play those really high notes without under or over toning and without having to precisely readjust embouchure, because that's really my only problem playing music :(
Azarath I wouldn’t necessarily say his playing is perfection. However good of a musician he may be, perfection is unachievable. I caught on that in the third section, he lost rhythm and played it unexceptionably fast. His multi tones could have been better as well (they are difficult to sound good on clarinet though). No disrespect to him though, he did a wonderful performance on a piece originally performed on violin.
Bravo Massimiliano , you are fantastic. I,m prof, in clarinet and saxophone in Macedonia - Skopje I like your presission tehnique and volumen color of the tone, BRAVO Maestro !!!! Zoran Kraguevski
infertile biscuit its not multiphonics, multiphonics are when you use a certain finger to produce certain overtones along with a primary tone. What he did was singing the note he was playing an octave above, there are no multiphonic fingerings that can produce a perfect octave
Nebula - Agar.io Just always talk to better clarinet players, and they'll always have these little tips and tricks that can save you tons of time and efforts if you try them out.
Joe McCoy Multi tones are surprisingly easy to do and frigging impossible to make sound nice. Play a note in the lower register (I find that Ab-C are the easiest), finger it like it's in the lower register, but use an embrasure like you would for the upper register. The clarinet gets confused about what you want and tries to give you both. It sounds like you're skinning a cat, but with a lot of practice you can make it work into something vaguely melodical.
Is that a C Clarinet ? Very skillful and agile playing ! I don' t like the sound of those extreme high notes though. To my ears they're just screechy and not really vital to the performance of the piece either. I assume this was originally for Violin.
Basil Brush Yes, this piece was written by Paganini, who was a violinist. It was written originally for a violin, which is why this performance lacks techniques the original has such as double stops.
Saw a video on this and couldn’t believe someone could actually play this and.....boy am I wrong. Wanted to try but I mean I’m horrible and playing notes fast 😂
It’s because the clarinet is in Bb, that’s the key. The caprice was written in Am, but since the clarinet is in Bb, it sounds a whole step below Am, which is Gm
I bet this is what Squidward thinks he sounds like
Finally I found a comment related to Squidward😂
xiiao hao 😂😂 FR
LOL xd
@@xiiaohao3871 squidward is my brother
What do you mean "thinks he sounds like" he sounds just like this
I N T E R E S T I N G
and also remember if you can play it slow, you can play it fast
And don't forget the B flats
Ah yes, back with the unfunny recurring memes.
Ling ling
You’ve got to practice 40 hours
Yeah I'm hearing B flats
Bravíssimo! The circular breathing is awesome, the sharp notes too. Thank you for sharing.

high af notes and DONT FORGET HIS CONSISTENCY WITH MULTIPHONICS
Jesus probably hand crafted that reed for him 0_o
Plot twist: the reed is plastic
Plot twist 3: I’m the rebirth of Jesus and made that reed
Plot twist 4: there is no reed
plot twist 5: there are no more plot twists
Redicendia plot twist number 5 there is
those runs 1:59-2:12 just made me go 'holy CRAP!'
That's how flutists feel lmao. We have really fast runs all over the place
How to frick did he make it sound like he was playing two notes at once
with his voice
He was multi phonics its possible to play two notes or more at The same time
@@GIOBODAN you're wrong btw there's ways to do it it's done more on bass clarinet and bari sax but it's possible to do it on other instruments
@@kirin8735 actually, he is right. you are wrong.
Multiphonics
I paused the video so that he could breathe
😂😂
No need to since he can circular breathe

Flight of the Bumblebee is hard. This guy: Hold my beer
You mean paganini: hold my beer
Flight of the bumblebee is a joke compared to most lesser known difficult performance pieces among the upper woodwinds.
its literally not hard if you know your chromatic scale. non musicians always hype it up for nothing.
Flight of the bumblee is just playing around on the chromatic scale.
@@rjyoon562did you mean Pagarinet? 🥸
The 3rd variation is just WAY too fast.
i can play a c scale
passions dies and so does my self worth after hearing this dude play
I can play c
Same (:
Same
Awesome?
I tried it on oboe. I fainted
Lynn little fainted. Go ivysaur!
no offense but oboe's annoy me
Wow

Crynyo Metsuto! Honestly I’m pretty much immune to that because I hear that daily
This guy is such a legend O.O
He skipped Var. 8 and Var. 9 right after Var. 7, still a beast tho!
1:50 How the heck he do that?!
@Kenai Martin Luther King Jr lol
He prolly hummed the part and played it at the same time
@@rjyoon562 i thought that too but its multiphonics i can't explain it so try to look it up

Why not? Great technique and his sound is HUGE.
Ottimo lavoro Massimiliano !! Sei forte !
Too fast in the third phrase, the rhythm just got lost, in my opinion.
yeah I don’t know why he sped it up so much, then slowed it down again
Wanna see ya repeat
and if you slow it down it’s unrecognizable
Why did he skip the variation before the left hand pizz?
PurpleKnight139 so he can breathe I guess
Clarinetists playing flight of the bumblebee and this guy goes “hold my beer”
HOW ARE YOU DOING YOUR OWN HARMONICS??? i've played for over 10 years now and never learned anything like that!! bravo!!
I just started playing clarient this year. Reply if you think clarinet is the best instrument
+Kenna P33R Stick with it, you need at least three years to really perform, and seven to get on stage.
Been playing for 5 years.
Nebula - Agar.io Just always talk to better clarinet players, and they'll always have these little tips and tricks that can save you tons of time and efforts if you try them out.
Arthur J Thanks fot the tip! I'm the only one who knows how to glissando im my whole area ^.^

Me encantó. Buena técnica. Gracias por compartir su talento por este medio.
Omg😯 those high notes!!
I need to say bravo!. Truly remarkable proformens and just beautilful. Walla min bror.
Impossível ter 28 não gostei... Sem palavras para descrever o que isso causa em mim.
I've been doing some Paganini etudes and they are excellent for clarinet. This was amazing though!!!
circular breathing, am I right?
Could you let me know what mouthpiece you were using?
Arthur J no
That looks like a Backun crystal mouthpiece
Those are SUPER expensive
Arthur J it is most likely a Backun CG crystal mouthpiece. Retails for $329
Brad Pilcher Idk it looks more like a pomarico
This is awesome - teach me, master
3:30 best part
absolutely amazing!!
bravo bravooo maestro un virtuosoo espero algun dia se de una vuelta por culiacan mexico :)

Sei sovrumano, Massimiliano!
Класснейшее исполнение. очень понравилось...

Super exelenta magestuoso y maginifico
VERY NICE
Bruh. He played multi tones. Lessons please
You just use the "wrong register key" like the e flat key on the right or the a key or even the g sharp key
Joe McCoy Multi tones are surprisingly easy to do and frigging impossible to make sound nice. Thanks for the response Stephanie. What do you think about the Clarinet itself being use here. ? I think it's a Clarinet in C . Not in Bb.
Basil Brush I am not very knowledgeable in the clarinet, but I would agree that you are most likely correct.
this is a Bb clarinet
Tyler Boyle Thank you for the explanation, I see what you are talking about now.
Outstanding.
Beautiful multitones after 01:04.
The 9th variation hits different
Great sound

Can anyone tell me where to find this arrangement
Everything was perfect accept for variation 2. The tempo kind of sounded weird.
Brilliant, Inspirational, but where are the f- p dynamic contrasts when a theme is repeated (like the violinists do)? With that, this would be COSMIC!
God damn did he just play with multiphonics?
What mouthpiece and reed setup?
