- Meath V Westmeath - What's the difference? I take to the streets of County Meath and County Westmeath to ask the people of the counties themselves!
Meath and Westmeath are both beautiful Counties in Ireland. I visited both to try and find out what's the difference between Meath and Westmeath?
I asked the people of Meath and West Meath the same questions to try and find out from the people themselves the differences between County Meath and County Westmeath in Ireland.

It's odd how they can just group entire counties of people into categories of personality based on the few people they know from said county. Also, Irish people are hilariously competitive and I love it.

To answer all the questions
Better at Sport: Eastmeath in general but Westmeath would be generally a more Hurling county even though we have had more "success" in Gaelic Football whereas Eastmeath are not as good at hurling
Rivalry: because they claim we stole the name, but Meath means middle, and we are more middle
Accent difference: more Eastmeath people sound like Dubs apart from a few interviewed
Best people: Westmeath, been to nights out in Eastmeath, Dublin, and Westmeath and always would rather go home to Westmeath.
The difference: divided on 25 November 1542 to better control all of Meath.
To the two at the start (who are clearly from Greystones) who didn't know where Westmeath was - it's just west of Meath. No worries, you're welcome👍

There is more to Meath and Westmeath than just Navan and Mullingar . The biggest towns in each county is not a proper reppresentation . Just a man from a small town that lives abroad from one of them counties giving my opinion

What is a "Dublin"accent? Thare sre a variety of accents in the capital. Inner city. North Dublin. South Dublin (depending) and D4. The latter dont take the DART, they take the DORT. LOL. And they pronounce hiuse as '"hice". L.
