Born in Cov, 67, currently in the Middle East working, miss Coventry, miss my old school, Foxford Comp, Longford. Miss my friends, those days were seriously good, Owen Owens etc.
my home town since 1961 till 1970 i left for canada.i am watching this video marks and spencer still same place.i miss coventry very much.
My home town from '73 to '97 when I left for Scotland and now New Zealand,a lot more how can I say?.. 'multi cultural'.. than my childhood in the 70's and 80's..
If you don’t like it, don’t come back.
@@Ash-333it's a dump!😂
@@hughzapretti-boyden9187 everyone is entitled to their opinion. I’ve found coventry to suffer much less from drunk chavs roaming around in tracksuits starting on random people and causing problems that seems to plague other cities in England. It’s ironically safer than “less diverse” areas in that regard. It’s also very walkable having a great array of shops and blends very old, old and new architecture in a cool way. Has just the right amount of graffiti. It’s great and I think represents the best balance of all the aspects of England in one town.
Nahh Coventry and other cities are completely ruined by this diversity bs @@Ash-333
Coventry looks like a great city thanks for the tour 👍👊 subbed
My home town I was born in 1964 and I'm 60thbirthday THIS year. Take care and all the best. 😄😄😄😄👍👍

Nice. Really nice buildings. I love the video quality
It looks amazing still. I love the way they opened Broadgate area.
I lived and went to college in Coventry
Too little of the historic centre shown, but still some key buildings and various points filmed. Also, interesting shots of people - today's Coventrians, or otherwise students. Despite everything that's imploding in Britain, this city still lives on.
I am amazed by the quality of this video and how stable it is! Wow, what camera did you use and how did you stabilise it so well?
I am very grateful for this video, I did not expect to find such a treasure for me. I lived in Coventry for a few years, I really like this city, I see that it has changed slightly since I left, but it still has its charm.
I also lived in coventry and i left aswell i loved it very much i had to go to poland when covid hit and now i realy want to come back but its not going to happen soon i guess🙁

@@aussiej2973 wat?
@@aussiej2973 Dude, an out of date yogurt has more culture than Australia. You're looking at an
architectural gem compared to Oz 😍
Wow' that's my home town, left the city in 1976.😍
1976? Wao, just wao. Were you able to recognize some of the old structures that still remain in Coventry till today?
@@fragilerovers only few buildings , it is really nice looking clean everywhere. Awesome.🙌
@@LKBadder hi Coventry born and bred it's nice and clean because nobody comes into town anymore the place is a shithole you would not recognise the place anymore you won't here many natives anymore you did the right thing trust me it's not the England I know as a kid them days are long gone
@@DebbieGlenn-f9u Oh, no. I may visit one day. 👍
Chaventry! All local yokels decked out in Sport's Direct or moody Stone Island! Foleshill is like living in Kabul! It's a dump!😂
Coventry city provided munitions for WW2 so it got Blitzed badly. If it wasn’t for Coventry’s help in the two world wars we would not have the freedom winning the wars gave us. Many parts that were medieval had to be re-built. Consider that before you judge.
@@Ann-bm5qg Chaventry didn't win wars on it's own. We're talking about now & it's a dump! Full of chavs, dealers & benefits scroungers.
Woow,so beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!

my hometown filmed nicely made it look better than real life lol did you not checkout the new cathedral and the old ruins?
A startling omission. Also completely missed lower precinct, Trinity Street, Queen Victoria Rd, City Arcade, Market.
Not the Coventry I grew up in its lost its way now 😢
health
Born and bred in Coventry but moved away some time ago, I went back last year to visit friends and I was in town There is not one single Fish-n-Chip shop in town!! even the Parson's Nose was a pile of rubble,
Shit hole now full of everyone but Coventry people the council are only interested in dragging in students from all over the world or illegal immigrants in every hotel from BEDUTH to BIRMINGHAM. Born in Coventry in the 50s so I am well able to tell you the bloody truth my friends. Shit hole. Glad I'm out of it now I've moved to a nice flat out far out of the city the town has been totally destroyed by mass immigration even the OAPs are under threat of eviction.
Looks peaceful and relax not crowded like London.
A fine example of how multi culturalism has enriched us ... Apparently.
fuck off racist
i guess you would rather see "to let" and boards ... apparently.
@@pogsperandi Once they have robbed and shoplifted enough, it will happen. Diversity does not enrich society, it consumes the good parts, leaving the rotting carcass of a town for everyone else to live in.
I will definitely live in this city who knows when but definitely.

Born in Coventry. Lived there for 30 years. Left for USA in 1979. You missed many areas of the city centre. All the classy shops have gone. Only M&S remains. I see Gosford Books (22:22 and 26:43) is still there. I bought books there 40 years ago. Hertford Street looks a dump; it used to be a wonderful street. Very little about this city appeals to me now.
Hertford Street, Shelton Square, and the Arcade are due for demolition - thats why it looks a dump.
Most of Hertford Street on the bottom end is being knocked down in the next 6 months, which why so much of it is closed or empty.
If you remember these, Bull Yard, Shelton Square, Market Way, City Arcade and Hertford Street , well they are all being demolished soon and what looks like an amazing regeneration taking place.
You stay in whackjob land mate 😊
Thank you for watching my video. Reading your comment is satisfying. I have created this channel for people like you who wants to see what a particular city looks like. I am glad I could do that and hopefully in my next visit, I will capture all the other areas that I missed
what is song name at 14:07?
Phil from Ghana 🇬🇭
Wish to see this beauty soon ❤️
Hello Phil, the and you for watching. And I am coming to Ghana next summer….
Where are all the Coventry people at work?
Stunning video, which camera did you use? Its so smooth
Thank you. I film with iPhone 13 Pro and Go pro action camera. Kindly subscribe to my channel
Coventry has some nice buildings.
Sure it does. Thank you for watching and thank you for the comment. Means a lot
Born here in 1970, moved away in 1990 and back in 1994, still here now but I've not been in town for a good few years as there are too many homeless people, and students, and most of the shops now are closed and boarded up! I prefer to go to Kenilworth which is closer than the centre of Cov.
Thank you for watching my video. I agree that Coventry City Centre is changing every year and may appeal more to younger people now, as with most big cities in the Uk. I have not been to Kenilworth but I hope to visit one day!
Thank you again for watching my video and I hope that you subscribe
Born and raised in Coventry. This video is horrific. I never go into town like I used to. Disgusting!
Coventry is a city, has been since 1345 so get it right 😂. You should see a town like Walsall, then you'll know the true definition of disgusting. Go deeper into the West Midlands, like Wolverhampton or West Bromwich 🤢. Not joking.
Ghost town
I thought that was a lively city haha
Lived here for 13 years, place is a absolute shithole lol
Agreed it really is for sure
Not what it used to be. Looks awful now.
Has gone downhill in a big way since the 1970s.
I really couldn't see anything wrong to warrant that at all. It's clean , lots of trees and plants, old and new buildings.
Dude I've been in some cities in the US , this looks a gem in comparison. I think you moan a lot in life probably
@@golden.lights.twinkle2329 You must have had a bang to the head if you think that tbh
@@salus1231nah it's way worse than this video shows, it's neither safe or clean
sad to see
Hahaha is this really an English city? What the fuck is happening over there?
Multi cultural...they say.I lived in Spon End area for some time and seen very dodgy people with knifes and machetes at night time.
Seems to me multiculturalism has done more harm to Coventry than the German Luftwaffe!
10:40 is that Islamic prayer being blasted over the loud speaker in a main public square of a British city? Have a bit of spine, letting them walk all over you guys over there in the UK
No we are not. You must only watch main stream if you think that. Plenty happening behind the scenes pro British. Peaceful meeting in London on the 26 October 2024.
Is there any true cov kids left in Coventry...I very much Doubt it. It's certainly not the city I was born and brought up in. It's tragic.
Yes towns are clean and Tidy. Walk outside it`s a Dump 3rd world.
I was born in 1951 and grew up in the re-development of war torn Coventry eventually leaving when I enlisted in the Army in 1970 never to return, except to visit family. How glad I am that I didn't, it's become the proverbial 'concrete jungle', all the character has gone. I'm now living, for the past 44 yrs, in the Netherlands.
Love the Dutch, cool people, lm in the Middle East working, but still miss Coventry
