I'm waiting for the release too, and I think I have a pretty good game concept idea. I already drew the first map area and made a list of what to add. I hope my idea isn't too ambitious. Thanks for the videos. You and Elca really inspired me.
I want to jump straight in to my bigger ideas, but I’m sure I’m gonna have to start much much smaller to begin with and learn. Otherwise I’ll probably get discouraged trying something outside of my level.

I can't wait until I can finally pick up dreams. I plan on testing out the tools by making a bunch of small games and assets, hopefully until I can get comfortable enough with the tools and make some sort of action rpg

The white city demo level actually reminds me of the Dreamcast tech demo 22 odd years ago! (of course the Dreams graphics engine in technically better looking)
Crazy to think how truly epic and a reference point for future programmers Dreams actually could be, if it takes off! (which it will)

I don't have a PS4. But just for Dreams I will definitely grab one. However, with next Gen looming over the horizon with it's backwards compatibility, is it worth it?

Battery exactly some of the games I was thinking of. You should also try some other games like horizon zero dawn, blood borne, Spider-Man. There’s tons of ps exclusives and that’s why buying this console is so valuable especially with this years TLOU2 and Dreams.

This to me was one of the major difficulties of LBP and I feel that it has carried over to Dreams.

Horzinicla yes we can by thumbs and actually you can even make a playlist of dreams (collection) to show dreamers quality dreams, the people who do that can also get exp points and if it is their passion they’ll get “curater” mark
I hope Dreams allows for character creation/customization, because that's one of the main things I wanna do; the other being fighting games(mainly arena fighters. Sue me). Even if I can't, or can't to the extent I want, there's still plenty of ideas I can play around with.
Character creation is possible some creators have ready created demos with it.

I love the game, but… I think the hype will cool down quite fast after people realise the clear limitations the dreams engine has.
Its being sold as, this thing that can do anything, that’s not really true. The thermometers. Are going to be a bottleneck and there aren’t many people talking about it.
I think ppl are gone be disappointed once they find out you can not have more than 5 fully animated AI enemies at any given time on the screen, before the performance starts dipping under 60 FPS.
LittleBigPlanet had far more limitations and its still one of the most loved exclusives on Playstation and had wild levels made on there.
You forget that this game will have Multiplayer, Psvr support and will most likely come to PS5. Anyone going into this thinking they can make GTA 5 are clearly mistaken but that doesn't mean you can't make crazy stuff. I mean the entire story mode for Dreams was literally made in Dreams and it looks great so far. Don't underestimate how creative the community can be when it comes to overcoming limitations.
Project Genesis indeed, + if a few people would enjoy it is still a few people to have a nice time
@@ItsProjectGenesis I really do, hope dreams comes out on PC and PS5 as the raw power of those platforms will give creators larger performance boost to be creative, and the thermometers will be extended by the devs, unlike PS4.
Yeah. There are ways to overcome for a price. For example you want a big open world decearse the graphics of everything else. I am also hoping that MM is working on optimizing the game

More of a de-facto game engine for game creation, testing, and playing then it does a real game
