hehe yes I always draw long hair between the ear and face but in a lot of illustrations if done right, a rather big part of the ear peeking out of that hair strand looks really cool :D

You can try doing a second tutorial on ears, but focus more on animal like ears.

0:32 Funnily enough, I'm here because I really loved the way ears were drawn in a manga called 'A Sign of Affection', and the whole point of the story is that she CAN'T hear something, lol.
I've always thought of ears as a kind of maddening eyesore and necessity on my characters, and whenever I try to draw them detailed they look ugly, but in the manga, the ears are detailed, but legitimately beautiful, rather than being uncanny and clashing with the style. I'm starting to wonder if maybe the creator of the manga intentionally drew attention to the ears, because of the topic of the story?
