i have hard gel nails, once u put a gel top coat over either gels or acrylics u can then use a peel off basecoat like UNT then apply ur gel polish and peel it off when ready for new mani. no soaking no filing. easy peezy.
Your the reason I've ordered 140 canni gel paints over coffee last night👍 my credit card company wants to say thanks 😂😂😂😂 love the price of these compared to my light elegance gel products! Thx for sharing👍
acetone works better with heat like body heat or warm towels! there was no heat for the acetone to work properly! at least that's where I think the problem lies!
Lela Robinson you could be right! I’ve never removed soak off gel on a practise hand before until today. I’ve only ever removed it on clients. Makes me want to try soaking off Canni on a client and see if it works better.
I love canni gels I use all of the brand products. I never soak off gel polish but I think that you 've should put them inside the lamp to help the acetone to act.. but still soaking off it's a waste of time.. it's so easy filling it off even without a e file!! Kisses from Amsterdam
I have been using canni gels for over 3 months and the first few times I tried to soak off with different brands of 100% acetone and it just does not soak off. Even with a good base coat and filing the top layer. I love...absolutely love the Danni gels and will continue to use them. I just file them off and don't think twice about soaking lol. I feel like they shouldn't advertise them being "soak off".
+79raina thanks for the info. Yes doesn’t seem right that there not soaking off when they are soak off polish. Kind of disappointing for those that can’t file them off.
shihtzuluvr two it’s says the builder soaks off, but I’m wondering if it does because their other products don’t. Sorry I myself can’t say for sure because I use my Efile all the time to remove it. I love the Canni line 😊thanks for watching!
Nice video😊 And good to know that this is NOT a soak off gel🤔 Even good gels as you say, should easily come off with acetone if it's a soak off gel. I have had mixed experience with Canni. Some good, but also some bad. I have just received my last order of builder gels just to double check if they are good or not😜 It says painting gel on the pot. Are you sure that is not just that? To paint lines and flowers and so on to the nail? Anyway thanks for this video 😊 xoxo
+Nails of Norway I have only good things to say about the Canni products. Love the builder gels as well. The “gel paints” can be used for full coverage of the nail, you could use them for lines as well, but they are not the thicker consistency of a paint.
I've been enjoying using canni gel, and one of the main reasons I chose it was soak off. I had been doing fills since I got it, but tried to soak off last week and no-go. 😔 I thought it was just me, so thank you for posting this. Good builder gel, but mislabeled for sure! Do you have some sort of affiliation with them? Did you let them know this outcome?
+Kari Coleman glad the video was useful for you! I have no affiliation with them, and haven’t let them know the outcome. I wonder if they’ve been told by others?
Yesenia Garcia I would suggest saving a little more and getting the melodysusie scarlet drill from amazon. It’s worlds better and not the most expensive at all.
Thinking out loud. Is i just the topcoat that is acetone resistant? Maybe it needed a bit more than just buffing. Buffing wouldn't even get rid of the topcoat completely.
Well other nailtechnicians thinks that primer does make soak off gels unsoakable and you should use just dehydrator before base coat or just use the primer at the end of the nails what u would file off anyway to make it shorter when u refill.I might be wrong but would worth a test in my opinion.I don't use primer only dehydrator but I don't have canni gels yet so I can't try it out.I would love to know it though.
+Andrea Zvara I’ve been a certified nail tech for 8 years and have never heard that the primer would make a difference. It has nothing to do with soaking off the top layers.
Yes you can. You would do the steps to the builder(buff nails, clean cuticles off nail, clean with Nail prep, primer, base coat, builder) then gel polish, cover with top coat
+Lisa Jakober if your having to use more than a buffer, you may as well file it off like I do. A good soak off polish will remove with a buff of the top layer.
HEY :) New subscriber here. Do you know how these would cure with the CND Led lamp? :) I am doing a CND brisa gel course, and have that specific lamp, made for brisa and shellac...However, my shellac collection is meagre after the expensive course and products, so I want to get some of these lovely looking (and cheap) Canni gel colors to practice polishing with (while I slowly earn back some of my dearly departed cash lol). I've got family and friends lined up to get free gel nails, but just want to make sure it will cure decently in the CND Led lamp, so they don't get issues with their nails. AND I would love any excuse to get more of these colors, they look gorgeous, with only one coat too. I know shellac doesn't cure properly in non-cnd lamps, but perhaps other brands will cure nicely in cnd lamp? Sorry for the long question!
Just a little tip from one tech to another; be sure to not push your bits too far into your e-file. It could destroy the part(I think it's called the stem) that holds it in and keep it from holding the bits tight in the future. No shade or anything. I'm just giving a tip as you do in your videos.

Not even 5 mins I was thinking I need to soak off my nails but didn’t know how to remove canni here u are posting a video! Thank u

+Pam Pinese 😂😂😂 so easy to spend on nail products isn’t it.
After a year, are you still pleased? Do they add colors? Do you mix Vann I held? Have been on the fence and doing research.
I still use the Canni colors all the time, not so much the builders...I like to use my professional builders
Please post updates on this. I was getting ready to order a few of these. I am glad you did this. TFS!
+Lena Payne thanks for watching!

Ardelle's Nails that's a good idea! 💡
Lela Robinson - I hope you are correct! I just ordered some of these. I'm not a pro and I don't have an e-file. 😩
did it soak off?
Thank god.. I thought it was me.. I love Canni but so much quicker if you e-file it off.. 💪🏽👌🏽

+joana duarte thanks for the info. I agree they are easy to remove. Hand filing would work great, I just do what is the fastest for me.
I use the drill to it's so much quickly... but for those who don't have a drill it can also be done with a regular file 👌
joana duarte What about filling the natural nails? Is that recommended?

Thanks for this info. I was wondering about the Canni Builder Gel, is it hard or soak off? I watched you using it, looks like it applies nicely! TFS!😍

What is the difference betweena primer and a bonder? Should I use both?

Could you recommend any good, cheap e files on ebay, aliexpress, etc for filing gel and what not?? :)
Yesenia Garcia I would suggest saving a little more and getting the melodysusie scarlet drill from amazon. It’s worlds better and not the most expensive at all.

Can you make a video trying to soak off the canni builder gel as well ?
+kitty couture1 I’m assuming it’s not going to soak off if the other products don’t 😞

Hi! Can i apply gel polish like semi permanent polish on gel nail ? What are the steps ? Thank you
Yes you can. You would do the steps to the builder(buff nails, clean cuticles off nail, clean with Nail prep, primer, base coat, builder) then gel polish, cover with top coat
Good to know!
So, How can I remove the gel from a natural nail?
Place a thin overlay of dip, gel or acrylic to protect nail and then remove w e-file.
Can you stamp with canni gel paints?
+iris LC no you can’t stamp with these.
Very nice👌👍
I also used more than a buffer to take the top layer off. Making sure to break through the top layer is crucial. Also the addition of warmth
+Lisa Jakober if your having to use more than a buffer, you may as well file it off like I do. A good soak off polish will remove with a buff of the top layer.
Would u do another video for us please without using the primer please? I really would like to know will it soak off without the primer. Thanks!
+Andrea Zvara sorry probably not.
Ive just started a TH-cam group if anyone’s interested 😊 ARDELLE’S Nails Support Group and TH-cam Suggestions

almost all top coats must be removed at least partially so acetone can remove the rest
Yes that is correct, but that doesn’t work with this product 😞

MateriaGirl it never hurts to ask, but honestly I don’t know how well they will cure in your CND Lamp... I’ve never used that brand sorry.

+S B already knew that but thanks for the tip 😉
I removed canni nail paint with pure acetone, off a natural nail. 10min soak did the trick
I used pure acetone in this video... no such luck
Ardelle's Nails must be a heat issue??
I said "Danni" I meant canni
It's because she used primer. I bet you if she does not use primer before apply the base coat it would soak off.
+Andrea Zvara the primer has nothing to do with the top layers soaking off or not.
