By far the best video on the subject !!! (I watched several - but nobody actually showed the prices AND converted them to CAD and USD) Glad I found this one, since I (Canadian) am going to Iceland very soon... So, the prices are actually very similar to Vancouver Island (except meat- which is way cheaper here). I'm bringing my own spice mix, 100 ml of olive oil, and coffee, in my hand luggage, and will cook some meals myself (veggie burgers, pasta, pancakes, and such) since the guesthouse where I will be staying has a shared kitchen... I do the same when I go to Hawaii- where groceries are expensive as well.

@TV-nc1bd Enjoy your trip! Bring as much food as you can for sure. All guesthouses and hostels we stayed at had a kitchen. Most tourists we saw at guesthouses cooked. We appreciate the comment!

Hi, I'm from Iceland, it's true that food in Iceland is expensive, but the price of the meat was not correct, the price on the label is based on 1 kg and this meat was not 1 kg, you then take the package and scan and then you get the correct price based on by how heavy it is
