I've had a 10k curb style chain for over 15 years that I've worn and almost never taken off. The color on it has faded slightly but no tarnish and it still shines. I did replace it recently though with a 5mm custom Miami Cuban. I'm deciding still if I want to wear the curb chain with it or not, with two chains I feel like they tangle and what not together. Just not as comfortable in general.
Yes the shine can be brought back of you take it in and have it buffed by a jeweler. And yes, I sleep and shower with my chains. My 5mm 14k Miami Cuban never comes off my neck.

Great video Braden. My first chain was a 22 inch 14k yellow gold 2.5 mm mariner link chain. It was different than a standard mariner because it had small bars in between the links. Grandparents gifted it to me when i was 15. And to this day I haven't been able to find the exact chain anywhere. Very sturdy chain despite not having worn it as much as I could have (it snagged my facial hair badly lol). Now that I think about it, it actually had the most solidly built lobster clasp of any chain.
I love my 4.5mm 24” 14k yellow gold flat curb chain I bought from Jacoje. Sometimes I put my yellow gold class ring on as a pendant on it cause I don’t like wearing rings on my fingers too long, and sometimes I wear it solo. Excellent quality and the shine is just superb!! I never really appreciated it because the Yellow would always pop out Vividly and I thought that it was forever tarnished LOL Now that my Gold knowledge is way higher, I wish I had that chain now. 4 day's ago my buddy gave me a old flat necklace out of his junk jewelry box it's missing the original clasp but on the end of the necklace it says 14k no other markings I put a clasp on it, cleaned it, and it had a few kinks in it I got the kinks out but you can still see where they are a little and it was dirty I cleaned it 3 time's and it shines it looks gold and silver/white gold in different lighting. It weighs 10.4 grams, 20", I believe it's 1.5-2.5 mm. I can send pictures to you so maybe you can give me your opinion on it. Yes I did a magnet test it slightly stuck to it

I think you should re-dip your chain. It is grey looking, and that's kinda tarnished looking. I know its not tarnish it just looks like it. Thanks for the video I learned something.
You want that jump ring to be unsoldered. The reason being; “Your chain is only as strong as your weakest link.”-Braden H. If that chain takes a hard tug, that jump ring, is cheaper to replace, and repair, than fixing a few of the curb links. I believe they should ALWAYS be unsoldered, should the thickness of the chain, be able to accommodate for it. #Smash, Smash, SMASHHH.
Firearms have a pretty return value specially if you have a gun like the python. But those are special cases. Either way i have had a walther ppq 9mm that i have had for 7 years no problems at all. Just clean a little and lube. Gold and firearms have a good return value and you get to use those objects.

Good white gold shines, only shit nickel white gold is grey and requires rhodium. Nickel also makes some people sick and is banned in other countries. You should have nickel-free, cast white gold, no rhodium.

drew 02 If all of those chains are within your budget, I’d say go with the baby curb. Reason being is you get more weight than a flat curb but also more shine than the cuban link.
Tough choice. 4.5MM flat gives you a bigger overall chain look. The Miami and baby curb are overall thicker and higher quality chains as far as the links go.
