Hello, the gso focuser is curved and unfortunately the normal focuser bracket is tricky to fit to this. The 3d printed version fits the shape of the focuser exactly making it easier to mount the eaf. Many thanks for watching!

make some sort of mark on the focuser and the Ocal tube such that you always use the same orientation, depth etc..

Does this Prime focus with a DSLR
Yes, this scope is designed for prime focus. You will still need a coma corrector.
You don’t need to paint mirror edges they will be full coated.
Collimating is not too hard by eye once you get some practice.
