This video shows how to import a ground motion txt file into ETABS software; how to define the time-history load case, and how to define a load combination that provides the average response obtained from several ground motions. It also shows how to compute the Psuedo-spectral acceleration of each ground motion manually, and how we can obtain it from ETABS software.

When importing a ground motion text file into ETABS software, it's crucial to initially assess the data orientation within the file since it is typically organized in rows and columns. Once you've established this, you have two primary options for importing the data, the first is to import the "Time and Accelerations Values", and the second is to import the "Accelerations Values" Only if they are equally separated by a fixed time step.
In Our Case, we can use the second option as the acceleration data are equally separated by a fixed time step of 0.01 sec. Then we need only to import the acceleration values, and to do this we need to skip 5 rows and 21 columns to reach the first value of accelerations.
