Pokémon Red and Blue released in North America on that day, and the fate of gaming changed forever. Today we take a look at Pokémon Snap, and how it helped shape the state of Pokémania in the United States.

The way you described one kid having cards and then all the sudden everybody did was a perfectly accurate representation. A lot of people use the term exploded when they're referring to something getting very popular quickly but pokémon was one of those ones that truly did explode in popularity
"P2 gets to sit behind P1"
That hits....
When I was a kid I only had a couple of games (one per Christmas and maybe birthday). I spent a lot of time watching my friend play 1player games enjoying them that way. (pokémon snap included)
Advantage: Nowadays longplay videos are almost as good as playing the game myself. I've "played" so many games vicariously.
Super dope video bro. These documentaries are very well made!
Hey thanks man! Glad you're enjoying them!
Wonder if that one kid still has his "trading cord"
Pokemon sales go brrrrr
Nintendo money printer go brrrrrr
Its been around two weeks since ive find out your channel, and i really love it! Cant wait for more! Congratulations for your hard work!
Thank you so much!! I'm glad you enjoy it so much!

I was born in 1982 and I bought Pokémon Snap at launch because that’s how I spent my money from my job in high school. Other dudes in my west Texas town worked to get better cars, or take their girlfriends to Sonic Drive In, but not me. Nope. I bought Pokémon Snap on the N64. Keep in mind I was like 16 years old.
In my defense I originally bough the N64 games to play wrestling games.
Pokémon is quality stuff though. I still enjoy it with my kids today….. though, being honest with myself, that Pokémon Snap game was kind of disappointing.
Glad you're here! I personally loved Pokémon Snap when I was a kid, though nowadays it's a bit short.
@@VideoGameDocs I think I was thinking it would be Pokemina of Time, or at least Pokemora’s Mask….but it was on rails! Very cute game though, no doubt
Ah totally fair. I watched my brother play first, so I kinda knew what I was getting into.
Underrated channel, awesome vids!!!
Excellent once again king

Should be "Cave" from the Pokemon Snap OST!
@@VideoGameDocs thank you so much! Also wanted to say I’ve been binging your videos lately and love the quality and detail you put into them! Hoping for your channel to pop off soon!
