The part where he's searching the house and there's no music, its just his breathing is always so intense especially after the scene before. It leaves you in the intense quiet instead of just dissipating it with an action scene right away and I think that's what makes it so impactful. Such a well done episode.

When Hotch is slamming that bastards head into the ground you can see the pain in his eyes... So sad but incredible acting 👍🏼

What made it so much worse is that we've seen Hayley since episode 1, along with Jack being a baby and everything and to see how they end up is so sad.

I disagree, strongly. Maybe it’s because I never really liked the character of “Aaron Hotchner”, or maybe it’s because I knew that he was GENUINELY an ass in real life. It just made it difficult to connect to his character or his family.
The episodes JJ, CODA, The Big Wheel, Zugzwang, and True Night are much more tragic.

Can we just talk about how strong Haley was in the moments before her death? And I always loved that moment:
Hotch : I know you didn't sign on for this
    Haley: Neither did you.
After all the arguments they had about his job that led to their divorce, her saying that to him was perfect.
I'm sure they both thought they would find their way back to each other, eventually. =(

We really got attached to this characters so much and the acting was on point as well. I don't condemn Hotch for what he did. Logan’s reaction representing all of us. The fact that he was speechless and that’s only happened a handful of times. Right you get so invested because since season 1 they introduced their individual backstories. This episode broke me they executed it so well and this is why Foyet to me was #1 villain of the show. 💔
Logan maybe by the end of the show you should rank the villains..

This is a year old so I'm sure it's not helpful, but the best I got is this:
Imagine picking up a book and fanning the pages while you take a deep long breath. Think about the smell of the paper and the ink. Let the memory of that smell linger.
Book smell is, I swear, the only scent memory that works on me and I highly recommend it as motivation.
Also if you're okay with rereading I would just start by rereading an old favourite so you KNOW you will enjoy it.

Rossi I know why, because he came in to be kind of a substitution for Gideon, who was his favorite.
I never understood why he don't like Hotchner, but he for some reason don't like straight edge characters, who are a bit strict and have to make the decisions because they are the leader.

its so hard to not feel an emotional connection to this show. the characters are portrayed so well, its impossible to not feel something. the episodes where they are affected directly are the hardest to deal with imo.
