Hey guys,
if you like ASP, they also did some english songs ,too. For example "Me" and "How far would you go". The first one also got a beautiful stopmotion-video, just imagine Tim Burton doing a music video in the style of "A nightmare before christmas" 😉
Also, the whole album "Zaubererbruder" is beautiful, with songs in different styles from folk to rock. The whole album is about the "Krabat" saga, a Sorbian tale about the poor boy Krabat who became a mighty sorcerer but gave up black magic to rescue his soul.

Well it's always a matter of taste but from my point of view there are better Gothic Rock / Metal bands in Germany than ASP....

@jaynecobb4218 My time is too precious to discuss about something like this with you, so I don't waste more time. ASP themselves will not be less successful because of your comments, they are still headlining huge festivals such as M'era Luna and can look forward to thousands of fans attending their tour this fall, and this reaction video will help them to spread their music furthermore. So we all accept your opinion, you accept that many other people have a different opinion, and then we put an end to this. Why did I talk about personal agendas? Because I know that there are many sad people who are still not getting over the fact that past bandmembers had to leave ASP more than 10 years ago, and those people are still spreading their anger and darkness every now and then to take revenge for their favourite ex-bandmembers. I'm not surprised because I speak from experience. However, since you are free to have your opinion, I'm also free to have mine, and that's the only thing that matters.

Thank you two for giving one of my most important requests so much love!😍🌘🩸🌙 It was so touching to see how much attention you pay to the storyline of the video and the entire visual concept - especially because ASP always put so much work and effort into all their creations, no matter if musically or visually! They deserve SO much more attention and love internationally, even though they are already the powerhouse of the German gothic scene - fans know how many years of incredibly hard work deserve to be rewarded, because there is no other band that sacrificed so much and literally broke their own necks to evoke art with so much depth and on such a high level. Especially nowadays, seeing how much the music industry is struggling, it's almost impossible for alternative artists (and even more impossible when you're singing in German!) to make the money they deserve, to make the money to live without worries. Asp, the mastermind of ASP, is not only the person who influenced me the most in life, but also the epitome of someone who is living a life under the banner of pure art and devotion. A song as magical as "Ich, der Teufel und du" is the paramount example for what he is able to conjure up, and I am regularly getting lost in these mesmerizingly beautiful melodies. No doubt that THIS is my song of summer 2023, and on top of that my favourite ASP song! You are right, Jon and Dolly, the strings here are from another planet, and my goosebumps are coming back if I just reminisce about these unearthly melodies...
You are asking about the symbolism and contentual message of the video? I think it's very important to translate some of the lyrics to get into it: "Where the paths are crossing, my heart is lying in an oak chest / Seven feet under, could I get it back? Please, please!" Or: "Take a piece of apple! Come, I cut it for you with the sharp knife. Should I peel it for you as well? Which way do you want to choose? Go, decide!" The symbolism shown in the video is very much in accordance with the meaning of the lyrics, a visual emphasis so to say. Do you need the help of the devil to find yourself and to finally be able to feel again, after many years of suffering and sorrow? Or do you find your own path at the crossroads? The apple, for instance, is known as the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden, giving the person who eats from it wisdom and knowledge. I think it's pretty easy to make a conclusion of how to put this into the context of the video and song. However: Everything about this is such an endless inspiration and lifesaving elixir to me - I can't even describe how much I am in love with "Ich, der Teufel und du" and how much I see myself in the mirror of this masterpiece. This is the dark romantic climax!🌽🩸🌙
