Great update Wade. I don't know how I missed this one. It seems TH-cam shuffles the subscriptions to the bottom with the least updates. You're back now!
great tour Wade..just so much going on always..your Masdevallias are all so beautiful.. Lucky you can grow them..Pinocchio is something i want...allong with those Machu pichu..but i just can't...:-(. Happy growing Wade
MiMien MelMiya you are right... I have put the names in captions in the past. I guess I wanted to get this one posted ASAP because it was a long time since I had done one.
Awesome tour! Those oncidium catante are quite lovely. Didn't realize they were scented. You didn't show many of your phrags. Is sorcerer's apprentice still blooming?
hi Wade.. just wondering if you have different temps for the omcid types to phals etc.. we are in winter here in SE Queensland and i have my omcidiums brassia out side under cover and the night temps are around 10-15deg C - i know that some growers say that these temps are find for these types....what are your thoughts please.... my phals are inside
10C is a bit cool for most Oncidiums and Brassias although I imagine they will pull through. I usually recommend about 55F (13C) for a minimum temp for these.
Cattleyas get enough light to create a distinct shadow. Up to 4" I pot in clay. Larger plants go into plastic. Mix is 3 parts bark/1 part perlite. Water well and then allow to get almost dry. There are many tutorial videos on Cattleya culture. Here is one of mine: th-cam.com/video/PB4o9oQCCx0/w-d-xo.html
What a wonderful greenhouse. Thanks, Wade.
You got beautiful varieties of orchids

How big is your greenhouse? What brand is it? I'm thinking of getting a large greenhouse
My greenhouse is custom built by Polygrowers in Muncy, PA. It is 21' X 24'.
