TL:DR Black Ops 4 ends, multiverse is gone into a new singular universe and everything is banished into the dark aether. (A plane that existed since the dawn of time). Elder gods live in this reality, they try to invade us during ww2 and fail. Kortifex the invader became the archon, powers given to him by the construct an all powerfull entity that existed before time usually chills and dont give a fuck about anything. Then, the rift that allowed them to come is closed and zykov a solider from Russia is tasked to seal it in a suicidal mission. He does but is trapped in the dark aether for 400 years in wich he evolved and consumed previous elder gods. He invades aswell and is defeated thanks go Samantha Maxis now grown up. Turns out everything is following a plan for project janus orchestrated by Edward richtofen now grown up too. And that's what's happening in Black ops 6. Then there is MWZ wich is in 2021 and i dont really know what the fuck is happening there and it spoils the end of Black ops 6? Idk. I did my best i'm lost aswell lol

*also the machine with the boxing gloves is a perk dispenser, you exchange money to get a specific perk depending on the dispenser type, some iterations of zombies have a limit of how many you can have active, but the dispenser with boxing gloves is a new one, called "Melee Macchiato," increases melee damage.*
*I guess they chose round based, since MW3 did have zombies, but it was more exploring an area for like an hour, then extracting from the area, and some didn't like this version, rather than other games, where it was usually surviving until the next round by reaching the kill quota per round, then you get a bit of a breather to relax, then next round starts.*
It wasn't even an hour. It was 45 minutes until the Aether Storm started expanding. You had an additional 15 minutes to go to an extraction point to extract or go to the Dark Aether via unlockable rifts. It's shitty Outbreak but on a time limit and you lose anything the devs don't want you to extract with which is half of everything important.
This is exactly why you need to see the Call of Duty Zombies trailers from World at War to the recent Modern Warfare III. There's a lot of cool stuff in the trailers: weapons, perk colas, new enemies etc etc
The characters with eyepatches are Grigori Weaver (the one who was in the cell) and William Peck (the one who broke them out). Both had their eye removed by Soviet Colonel Lev Kravchenko. Weaver’s in Black Ops 1, Peck’s in Black Ops Cold War (AKA Black Ops 5). It’s kinda his thing.
Warriors Orochi, 2, 3, and 4 are games that have both Xiahou Dun and Masamune Date who are actual historical figures that wore an eyepatch. Idk Date's story but he was "the one eyed dragon" but Xiahou Dun got shot in the eye with an arrow, pulled the arrow out with his eyeball, and then ate his own eye. So that's pretty nifty.

Ceiling tentacles is a trap, that can be activated by players
*if I remember correctly usually the traps only hurt the zombies, but like I said "usually".*
