If you have time/if you want to, would you be able to go through your process of reading an inci list and the major ingredients that you avoid! I tried to find something with salicylic acid on the highstreet and it seemed like EVERYTHING had alcohol in it! Skincare can be such a minefield sometimes and it really aggravates me that large chain beauty shops shove all the crappy, foaming cleansers in to their smaller shops(I live in very rural Scotland) because that is what all the adverts seem to push towards people and I could really use some help in finding the diamonds in the rough. Anyway, I've rambled for far too long. Once again, great video!

So happy I found your youtube channel. I am 21 and finally out of my rut of using basic supermarket skin care products. Watching your videos has really helped to get a grip on the huge market of products out there. Although I don't think I am ready to be spending mega money on products (yet....) I am trying to sample new ways to keep my skin looking and feeling good. I am quite lucky in regards to the condition of my skin in pretty normal although a little dry and I hardly ever get spots. I have been using a few Una Brennan products recently and they have been working well for me. I know this is probably a range that is pretty basic in comparison to the ones that you use but I was wondering if you had any experience with her products. I am using the full rose collection so the facial oil, creamy cleanser and the moisturiser. I really like them but am interested in getting another opinion!!

Elizabeth Arden makes a really nice eyebrow pencil that is similar to the Estée Lauder one, no highlight and comes with a spindle (?...uhh brush thingy). Lasts a touch longer....
Caroline check that you're editing/exporting your videos in the correct aspect ratio- then your video should fill the whole screen/box once it's uploaded rather than being a cropped square. I love watching you otherwise
Caroline Hirons Glad I could help, some software sets the aspect ratio automatically based on the source file which makes it easier, otherwise just make sure the project setting and export setting when you edit match whatever aspect ratio you recorded in

I love your videos Caroline! I have a DESPERATE PLEA for you to do a whole series on rosacea ... I have recently been told I have it, I have the rash and the redness and it's so upsetting, but I'm determined to clear the rash and I can live with the flushing. I desperately want to hear your views as I've been prescribed a prescription cream for the rash which takes 2 months to work apparently :,( A Galderma one Rosex?). You can't hide a rash on your face and it's so upsetting as I am hiding away at home until it settles down (have even bought a baseball cap to hide under if I go out :( not the coolest look when you're the wrong side of 35...! Ha!). I heard you very briefly mention you had a rosacea flare up when you worked for one of the large skincare companies and you said you think it was linked to food allergies. Sorry for the long comment. I hope you see this, I know there's a lot of info on the net but I trust you implicitly and would love to hear your recommendations or advice Xxx

This may seem a little weird: could you please tell me if the artist's name is printed on your Bond poster? If yes, who he/she is? I'm doing a research on cinema posters and designers, I came across the Italian version of that poster and it has no name on it. Italian designers usually created a brand new poster for an American/English/... movie but sometimes (this could be case as far I can judge from the video) they kept the original layout or drawing. Hi Caroline, I've got little tiny bumps on my cheeks, they aren't quite spots just little lumps. They've ruined the surface of my skin and looks bad with or without makeup on. I don't know where to start, I've read on one of your comments to start using facial oils/serums, what ones do you recommend. I'm on a little bit of a budget so preferably cheap however I don't mind spending a little bit more if the product will really improve the texture of my skin. I've got normal to oily skin. Hi Caroline, I have learnt a lot from your blog and I have started to use acids in the am/pm regularly (as well as Alpha H Liquid Gold - which is a night treatment and not to be used as an acid, boom clap!). I am in my mid 30's and have hormonal adult breakouts (it's now 1 year post baby/they happen around that time of the month). I want to invest in a good serum and I have looked up LOTS of different serums, including your videos and blog post. Which leads to my question: What do I need to consider when choosing a serum for the am/pm? I can't afford two expensive serums, would I be better off to invest in a great pm serum and wear a light patting of natural oils (rosehip, jojoba, argan) during the day? I would like to start using retinol in the pm (any suggestions? I have heard of Medik8 but can find no reviews...which I think may be a bad thing?) Does my combo/adult acne skin need to avoid any certain type of serums? Can you please do a serum post answering these questions? In the AM I usually wear a light patting of Trilogy rose hip oil before I apply my Alpha H day moisturiser, primer and then make-up. Any suggestions or advice would be hugely appreciated. I am very budget conscious at the moment, so price is the main denominator here. Thank You so much (my skin and wallet thank you in advance) x

I use Emma hardie cleanser am/pm, kiehls avocado eye cream and switching Sarah Chapman overnight facial /hydraluron +bioderma /pure argan oil /origins overnight mask/koress wild rose sleeping facial /glamglow masks depending on what's needed. Totally know what you mean with seche top coat.. Revlon and nails inc are so much better! I coud'nt throw seche away not at £18 a pop so i use it on my toes :-)
Good video as always. I too cannot wear Chanel No.5. It smells fabulous in the air and then it smells disgusting on me! The Grace Kelly wedding one from Creeds also smells horrible once I've had it on for a short while. At first, it smells lovely. I presume it's the body chemistry. Finally, I wish that Estée Lauder stuff was not so expensive.
I completely agree about the brow pencil. The highlight is stupid and a waste. I'd rather pay a bit more and get a bigger pencil end. I've found the soap and glory archery brow pencil is pretty good and has the spooly at the end instead of a useless highlighter.
I know it's all personal preference, but personally speaking I don't care how good it is, if the eye pencil doesn't have a spoolie on the end I don't see the point.

Hi Caroline, I've got little tiny bumps on my cheeks, they aren't quite spots just little lumps. They've ruined the surface of my skin and looks bad with or without makeup on. I don't know where to start, I've read on one of your comments to start using facial oils/serums, what ones do you recommend. I'm on a little bit of a budget so preferably cheap however I don't mind spending a little bit more if the product will really improve the texture of my skin. I've got normal to oily skin. And do you have any more recommendations aside from oils/serums which might help!!

Hi Caroline, I have learnt a lot from your blog and I have started to use acids in the am/pm regularly (as well as Alpha H Liquid Gold - which is a night treatment and not to be used as an acid, boom clap!). I am in my mid 30's and have hormonal adult breakouts (it's now 1 year post baby/they happen around that time of the month).
I want to invest in a good serum and I have looked up LOTS of different serums, including your videos and blog post. Which leads to my question: What do I need to consider when choosing a serum for the am/pm? I can't afford two expensive serums, would I be better off to invest in a great pm serum and wear a light patting of natural oils (rosehip, jojoba, argan) during the day? I would like to start using retinol in the pm (any suggestions? I have heard of Medik8 but can find no reviews...which I think may be a bad thing?) Does my combo/adult acne skin need to avoid any certain type of serums? Can you please do a serum post answering these questions?
In the AM I usually wear a light patting of Trilogy rose hip oil before I apply my Alpha H day moisturiser, primer and then make-up. Any suggestions or advice would be hugely appreciated. I am very budget conscious at the moment, so price is the main denominator here. Thank You so much (my skin and wallet thank you in advance) x

Hi Caroline. Can you pleeeease recommend a serum? I'm 34, dry sensitive skin, bit of a t zone. Something brightening anti aging and without essential oils? I use Emma hardie cleanser am/pm, kiehls avocado eye cream and switching Sarah Chapman overnight facial /hydraluron +bioderma /pure argan oil /origins overnight mask/koress wild rose sleeping facial /glamglow masks depending on what's needed. I'm a fan of the Estee lauder night repair serum but would like to try something new. Thank you. I LOVE your videos x

Totally know what you mean with seche top coat.. Revlon and nails inc are so much better! I coud'nt throw seche away not at £18 a pop so i use it on my toes :-)

Good video as always. I too cannot wear Chanel No.5. It smells fabulous in the air and then it smells disgusting on me! The Grace Kelly wedding one from Creeds also smells horrible once I've had it on for a short while. At first, it smells lovely. I presume it's the body chemistry. Finally, I wish that Estée Lauder stuff was not so expensive.

I completely agree about the brow pencil. The highlight is stupid and a waste. I'd rather pay a bit more and get a bigger pencil end. I've found the soap and glory archery brow pencil is pretty good and has the spooly at the end instead of a useless highlighter.

I know it's all personal preference, but personally speaking I don't care how good it is, if the eye pencil doesn't have a spoolie on the end I don't see the point.
