How could you forget Annie Potts in Designing Women, one of her best roles EVER😊
I watched her today in pretty in pink! I forgot she was even in that film lol!
Came to the comments just to make sure I wasn't the only one that remembered that!! How the heck could they leave that off???????
RIGHT!
And that show has a few seasons.
That's where I originally knew her...well, probably Corvette Summer, but I didn't put that together until I was an adult.
Young Sheldon’s voice is now deeper than grown Sheldon.
i just realized 💀
Same thing with everybody hates chris
It's unfortunate, but not much can be done about it, unless you think Iain Armitage should inhale helium before each take.
I love how some people say that writers intentionally picked someone with a deeper voice as if knew that ahead of time.
@@joshpetzoldt6344 or voice pitch it in post production
The Dad did not play a bully from Sheldon's childhood but from Leonard's past
Yes this is so true. When I realised this I could not believe it!
He was in HS, so, could qualify as childhood!
@@debbiefried3533 The ACTOR played the role of a bully.
no, he played george cooper and pretended to be his bully because he didnt want sheldon to know to know he faked his dearh
good catch
How could you forget her famous role in Designing Women? That is what made Annie Potts a star.
She's still hot too
I was screaming this
Annie Potts in Ghostbusters. Love her
she was a star before DW
Annie Potts was also on Designing Women as Mary Jo from 1986-1993.
Dales cop friend was on Coach with him also.
I came here to say that
I watched her today in pretty in pink! I forgot she was even in that film lol!
dauber- who flunked school so many times they made him an assistant coach
Emily Osment was also the main character in Young and Hungry and she had a plot-important short recurring role in Mom
Was just going to mention Young & Hungry!! Loved that show
Yeah. She died of an overdose on Mom.
Matt Hobby was also in an episode of Mom. He played Chip the Missionary in season 2 episode 18
And she also was on an episode of Two and Half Men
I was so pissed that they scrapped the Young & Hungry movie that was supposed to serve as the true finale for the series. Emily is hot af though.
You forgot that she was also on the extremely popular Designing Women which was me 80s and she was really well-known besides for Ghostbusters for that she was on designing women from 1986-1993 I really don't see how you could miss that.
Annie Potts was also a major cast member in Designing Women - that is probably aside from Ghostbusters what she is most known for.
I love that show.
There's also her co-starring role with Mark Hamill in "Corvette Summer," and a trucking movie or two from the late-70's.
‘Hello ghostbusters’ I loved it wen she used to say that answering the phone lol!
Annie also Co-starred with Mark Hamel in Corvette Summer
@@jessrosefawkes2721
Ghostbusters whata want.
U really forgot the actress Mckenna Grace who plays page she has been in a ton such as sabrina
They left out one of Melissa Peterman’s best roles. She was hysterical as Ben and Danny’s mother in the sit-com Baby Daddy.
I love that show ❤😂
I came here to say that lol
@@horrorfan7148 same here. she was the star of that show.
That’s where I first saw her too!
Right,
How do you talk about Ed Begley Junior, or any actor who was involved in it for that matter, without bringing up Better Call Saul. Wild.
How could you miss Annie Potts in Designing Women. Everyone bright that up!!
It's not Grandma Cooper, it's Grandma Tucker.
Many people don’t know this about Annie Potts, but before she even became famous as an actress, she and her then boyfriend were on a motorcycle while he was technically her fiancé and they had an accident and she nearly lost her leg. It was a lot of reconstructive surgery that she needed to go through and she didn’t lose the leg. She was lucky that way her fiancé was not so lucky and did lose his leg. You may have seen him playing the doctor in AfterMASH.
not totally recovered-she lost her heel. she suffered compound fractures of both legs- poor girl. i think dude lost one of his legs.
the zoe perry being in rosanne as jackies younger self being it was jackies actual daughter and prob helped get the role to play a younger version of herself in young sheldon irony gotta love it
It does kind of make sense in way to get someone who bears some resemblance to the og actor
@@Theintrovertednow it cool they are mother daughter combo who played mother/younger self in 2 different show
And Zoe Perry’s dad, Jeff Perry, played a major role in Scandal-Cyrus Beene😮
Wallace Shawn is also in the first Incredibles movie as Parr’s boss. I think he has been in all the Pixars like John Ratzenberger. Iconic voice.
He's also the principal in "A Goofy Movie"! I agree, his voice is iconic!
I first saw him on TAXI where he played Arnie, Elaine's love interest for a few episodes. Hilarious.
He was also in Princess Bride
that guy so reminds me of my late stepdad- a retired atlas rocket engineer from general dynamics. RIP, dan.
Doc Prior was in The Good Place. When Elanor is flashing back to the one moment she felt existential dread in her life, he's the guy who explains the 4 toothbrushes and then gives her a box of Kleenex in the hardware store.
I remembered Lance Barber from TBBT and it really threw me off until I re-watched the episode and could finally place him.
This cast is one of those rare things where I think every character is perfectly cast, I can't imagine any of them being played by anyone else. With the exception of Jason Alexander, even if he is only a minor character. Watching that dude, in anything, is like nails on a chalkboard. I hate it so much I won't re-watch the episodes he's in.
Annie Potts is best know for her character, Mary Jo Shively, from Designing Women.
How did you leave out Mckenna Grace?
Do you remember the music teacher from i guess first episode of "Young Sheldon"?
She discovered that he has a talent for music?
She is the same actress who played Mendy Chow in TBBT.
Wallace Shawn was in My Dinner With Andre. Then he made The Princess Bride with Andre The Giant.
The series finale was very touching! I cried a lot. The ensemble cast was amazing! And, no laugh tracks.
How did the researchers miss Craig T. Nelson in Parenthood, where he won an Emmy? Come on guys.
Another awkward omission. Although I watched Coach and Parenthood, the movie Poltergeist ALWAYS comes to my mind when I hear his name.
Yes! I came here to say this, too.
If you can miss Annie Potts for 7 years as Mary Jo in Designing Women, you can miss Craig Nelson in Parenthood
Craig T. Nelson was in the short lived show Call To Glory '84 to '85.
do you think there's a whole team of guys in there?
Not grandma Cooper, grandma Tucker!
Wallace Shawn was also in "My Dinner with Andre" which is one of the best movies of the early 1980s, and he had a minor role in "Manhattan" with Diane Keaton and Woody Allen.
Someone else remembers "My Dinner with Andre"!
@@roytee3127 Yep. I loved that movie.
Annie Potts was in Designing Women tv show
I always remembered Melissa from baby daddy as bonnie
i watched it just to see her character it always made my day
Annie Potts was also in “Designing Women”.
Annie Potts: You forgot Designing Women.
Craig T. Nelson: You forgot Parenthood (2010's).
Emily Osment: You forgot Young & Hungry.
Wallace Shawn: "She's Out of Control."
Ed Begley Jr.: You mentioned his single appearance in Roseanne, and you could have mentioned being in the Roseanne led movie "She Devil" that he was also in. You could have also mentioned his stint in the 1990's version of "Parenthood" as a small connection with Craig T. Nelson.
and was also
You completely forget Wendie Malick: She appeared in a TV movie with Ed Begley Jr. called "The Ed Begley Jr. Show," was in the movie Scrooged, and was one of the main cast in "Just Shoot Me," a show that you mentioned when talking about Melissa Peterman.
Nice video, but you dropped the ball in a major way for not including these references.
What about Annie Potts in the first movie I seen her in. Which was Corvette Summer. Which was also Mark Hamill's first screen appearance. Annie Potts was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award in her first film role.
right- she became a star at that point
THE most iconic role of Annie Potts---Designing Women (it made her career).
people keep saying that well then how did she get cast for DW??
@@tommurphy4307 Her audition
Looper, his character’s first and last name in “Young Sheldon” is ‘Dr. John Sturgis’.
OMG! Annie Potts is best know for her YEARS on Designing Women. Damn!
Ed Begley was also a guest star in the Star Trek series Voyager as a computer and tech genius
different guy- ed begley, jr. was the guy- remember st. elsewhere?
Ed begley jr was also on better call saul as cliff main partner of davis and main
bro. imagine being sheldon seeing a guy that looks exactly like your dad who passed away.
Lance played a bully of Leonard’s, not Sheldon’s, in TBBT and Annie Potts was in Designing Women for 7 years!
My earliest recollection of Wallace Shawn was in "All That Jazz" (insurance accountant) and Woody Allen's Radio Days (radio actor, The Masked Avenger).
Annie also plays Sharon - the grams - in The Fosters. That's where I knew her from
Love young sheldon's reponse to the paster saying the origin of the universe was the 'word of god'. He asked: was that word "kaboom"?
dude I was rewatching "Clueless" the other day after a longgg time and I was soo shook when I saw Wallace Shawn
Grand Nagus Zek!
Left out my dinner with Andre.
Wallace Shawn was also the voice of the principal on "A Goofy Movie."
Princess bride too! Lol x
Little ian seems so passionate!
they look familiar, bcs we've been seeing them for the last 7 years🤣🤣🤣
My comment also; I recognize Annie Potts from Designing Women (1986-1993) before I would say Ghost busters.
Melissa also was part of baby daddy that too such a huge role.
Annie potts was the grandma on the fosters
Annie Potts played in Corvette Summer with Mark Hamill. The cop on the take for the gambling room played on Coach with Craig T Nelson and he is the voice of Patrick on Sponge Bob:)
Lance was also in the show Justified.
Young Zoe Perry looks like Everleigh Soutas!!
Crazy how Wallence and Annie were in the same famous child hood movie and then met again in young sheldon
Annie Potts was also memorable in "Pretty in Pink."
You really won't mention that Emily Osment starred on the hit sitcom Young & Hungry?????!!!
Annie Potts was also in Corvette Summer with Mark Hamill.
how is nobody talking about Veronica from young Sheldon in the Alexa and Katie scene with Regan Revord?
6:02 I know him also from "Vegas Vacation" as Croupier Marty
come to think of it- that WAS wallace shawn. i knew i'd seen him before....
Annie Potts's character Meemaw would not be "Grandma Cooper" since she is Mary's mom, not George's.
somebody already stuck our nose in that
I'm shocked they didn't mention "Baby Daddy" in Melissa Peterman's (Brenda Sparks) part. She was in EVERY episode.
Fun Fact about baby daddy: Lance Barber (George Sr.) and Melissa Peterman (Brenda Sparks) have worked together BEFORE Young Sheldon on Baby Daddy
Ed begley also appeared in better call saul
5:15 you forgot his role in Air Buddies
Begley was also on the original Battlestar Galactica as a Colonial Viper pilot, Ensign Greenbean.
Inconthevable
Annie Potts was on Designing Women. How did you forget that.
2:55 - Annie Potts' amazing performance in *_Corvette Summer_* (1978)
In addition to the epic faux pas of not listing Designing Women ( major hit show, 7 years thank you ) Mandy ( Emily Osment ) was the STAR of Young and Hungry for 4 or 5 seasons. It's not like Y&H was even that long ago
You're wrong about Craig P Nelson started with the Tim Conway Comedy Hour when he appeared in seven episodes but he was in so many usually a bit Parts is true but or one-time shots on television but he was there enough that you could miss his face for example the very first Poltergeist movie and its sequel as well he was also in the movies The Killing Fields and silkwood but I'm probably one of the few people who remember it's him from the part that he played in the white shadow as the Padre Father Phil. The funniest thing about him is you never forget that face of his or his voice for that matter and you could never Typecast him as being told that guy is going to be the villain because that guy always plays doing he never played one particular side if you want to call it that of... his roles were so varied.
You forgot about Isabel May who plays Veronica and is in Alexa & Katie with Reagan Revord!
could have mentioned Rex Linn as the principal and detective frank Tripp in CSI Miami
One thing that’s interesting about Annie pott’s character is that she has dated two guys both played by people from Pixar
Craig T. Nelson was also in the 2000's crime series "The District"
Though not seen, there should have been mention of Jim Parson doing the show's narration.
1:17
Oh yeah, I completely forgot about this.
So the actor of young sheldon literlly had his own "Fun with Flags" sort of series
Lance Barber AKA George Cooper Sr. did not portray a colleague of Sheldon's on TBBT . He portrayed Jimmy Speckerman, Leonard's childhood bully .
You can’t forget Mellisa Peterman also played as a teacher Mrs. Peter Sydney to the Max.
Begley Jr. was also on Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and he played the father in Disney Channel's The Shaggy Dog (90s).
That’s where I remember him from
I almost screamed when I realized it was Ian who played Sebastian Stan's son in that one movie
You forgot Isabel May from Alexa and Katie she plays Veronica Duncan
TREMENDOUS
AMAZING
FANTASTIC
Iain was a such lil cute theater kid 😭🥹
whats funny is hes so different than jim parsons
Zoe Perry also in the Umbrella Academy season 2
no mention of cliff main . damn
MANDY WAS LILY?! DUDE HOW DID I NOT REALIZE THAT SHOW WAS MY CHILDHOOD
Isabel May as Veronica and star of Yellowstone 1883 one of the best new actress.
I don't know how could you guys of Ed Begley Jr. in Better Call Saul as Clifford Main!!
Annie Pottz also had a major role in Pretty in Pink and other 80s films
Man that kid is Sheldon even on his TH-cam 😂
Bro. He is the Sheldon that we deserve.
Annie Potts character name on young Sheldon is not Cooper, she's Mary's mother.
I love the meemaw. She’s tough , no nonsense and so much fun
she used to have to drive all the way to houston to get weed- right
You mentioned Gossip girl, but forgot his role at Sex and the City!
How is no one mentioning the mom in Baby Daddy??
Paige was the first role I noticed that was played by Mckenna Grace, when I first saw her, she looked familiar.
What about Annie Potts in designing women?
I remember when Ed Begley Jr was on Battlestar Galtica as Viper Pilot Greenbean. And later a villain in Star trek Voyager.
i thought it was ed begley his father he was on ST
You guys forgot Down Periscope
And you're forgetting his stint on scarecrow and mrs. King I'm referring to Ed Begley Jr and that one he plays a kind of bad guy a very dumb bad guy in the sense that he makes a deal with the wrong people expecting that they're going to keep their end of the bargain and pay him for the work he's done which of course they don't and they kill his character instead. I can't be certain if it came before st. Elsewhere but I'm pretty sure it came before seen elsewhere.
And how can you forget that Annie Potts Was also in the movie Corvette summer
Recognise the actors? Well sure, but I was actually more excited at 10:15 to recognize the hood of the classic British car everyone was sitting on - the mighty Morris Minor! :)
they had to clean up all the oil afterwards
