i played a lot of this version and never even found this, im playing 1.0 now and i got here in my first 15 minutes of playing, this game is fucking huge i don't think im ever gonna see all of it
one thing I love about Mario 64 it's not only platforming but also different adventure things like rise or drop the water level using caps to be metallic or phase through walls boss fights changing the size catching your lost cap surfing getting coins in multiple ways interacting with pink Bob ombs to open cannons for yourself being able to collect coins in various ways and even defining the speed at which a giant clock will work and there's ROM hacks that add into that factor
The story has changed a few times. Last I heard it was released as 1.0 then retroactively named 0.9 because theyre planning to wrap it up and release it as a complete version as a 1.0
