I Stayed at Cedar Point's Nicest Resort! | Sawmill Creek

  • You might think that Hotel Breakers is the nicest resort on Cedar Point property, but I'm pretty sure you're wrong after visiting this incredible resort on a golf course about 15 minutes away from Cedar Point.
This Golf Resort is incredible and I felt very outclassed by it. It also just made me want to hang around the hotel (a very rare feat). It was a fantastic place to stay and a beautiful resort, along with being close to Cedar Point by using another route.
Come hang out with me while I check out Sawmill Creek Resort!

In its day it was top of the line for many many years as they kept it up until the owners aged. Watching your review I was very impressed what CF has done and what they plan too do with different functions throughout the year. As CP is closed because of harsh winters they plan too do of what they used too do. We will c if CF does it. We have major resorts here that get $600.00 plus at least 6 months of the year off season conventions at our CC and sports center fill the rooms similar too what CF is going to do. When we travel we stay at upscale places not all the time --But SMC holds its own and than some with what’s available at major resorts. They will do fine as I have read some guests reviews from the park and business travelers checking it out who are familiar with the new ownership. All positive reviews. Some were right after opening and the upstairs area where u went was the only thing open for very light breakfast. Not the buffer you had. From what I have seen of u r review if we don’t have another cova scare or they have a staff shortage they will hold there own. Best wishes.

When Cedar Fair acquired Sawmill Creek a few years ago, I was really hoping they would turn it into a luxury resort, like at a least 4 star. Sadly, it’s essentially an updated 2.5-3 star hotel. I feel like you can hardly call it a resort.

I wish that, in some way, (even if it’s a tram or golf carts or something) that you could take a ferry to and from cedar point to SMC.
It would be so fun to leave the park, have a fantastic meal at the millers table and then come back to the park for more fun.
But it feels so disconnected when you have a 20 minute drive between the parks. A boat can feel more like an experience.

It seems like a great resort, but it would better if there would be complimentary shuttles to and from the park.

it is a gas fireplace and the flame is the pilot. I have one in my den. Kind of like old school furnace where the pilot is always on as opposed to electriconic ignition. I turn the pilot off once spring gets here, otherwise it always stays on.

Lol, yes I would also forget items stored in drawers. I am so glad you did this video! When I put in my pass holder savings code, this is often the second-cheapest option, after the expess hotel. So I was definitely curious.

Pretty sure the fire is the pilot that's always lit so it lights up when you turn it on.

First of all when SMC was built 40 plus years ago it was a 5 star resort catering too exclusive business communities from Cleveland and major cities including Pittsburg and Cincinnati -It was very popular for many years. There main dining room had major entertainment and fine dining with a marvelous Sunday Brunch which was truly remarkable with 4 carving stations plus. Many golfing tournaments. They had the area heavily decorated for all seasons and Christmas was a drive through with beautiful decorations and music carolers it was the Pride of that area. The previous owners as they ages did not put money back in… At first when CF offered too purchase it they said no as they wanted more money and after a year they came back too CF offering a good price. It’s still going too do conventions but other activities are planned. We now live in the Resort city of Va Beach Va put had friends that worked there for years in mgt…CF had a big varied plans for it. Keep listening for there future plans especially The Christmas Holidays. Best Wishes

Just wrapped up my 2 days in Cedar Point. I think I found my favorite park. I wish I could get out there more. My favorite ride was Steel Vengeance, or as I like to call it the human washing machine. Stayed at the Express.

They also have a golf course which has been there for a long time. there's a beach on the other side of the breakwall rocks on the chaussee road. next stay try Maples hotel on Rt 6. I've never been there but there's pictures online. my friend stayed in his tent at KOA campgrounds.

Trent, when you go to Kings Island you should check out those cabins they have they look really nice. Unfortunately, they look like they beat out the cabins at Cedar Point.

Regardless of how nice the place is I never drink out of the glasses not wrapped in plastic (real or plastic cups.) also don’t drink out of the coffee makers with the glass pots. If you really want to know google some real investigative journalism hotel stories. The people at my work and work experiences have confirmed most of the videos.

sawmill creek better than hotel breakers? looking to book a spot for halloweekends and thinking breakers simply because of convenience of walking to your room

    • @notyournormalg1
      @notyournormalg1  ปีที่แล้ว

In my opinion, I do think that sawmill creek is better. The draw of hotel breakers is the lake. And if you’re looking for proximity to the beach, then probably breakers is best, but otherwise it’s sawmill creek all the way.

@@jfresh2054 I didn't notice that stuff at all on this trip. BUT my trip to Castaway Bay was more similar to that (went there earlier in the year), so I don't doubt that it was worse earlier on in the year while staffing issues were happening. I'm excited to go back to Castaway this winter and give it another go.
