If you smell fuel or see a fuel trail running down the LHS of the engine when parked, the tank is leaking. It leaks from where the petcock connects to the tank. I had 4 failures. Also if you remove the tank and the insulation has fallen off, that's another sign that the tank is leaking.
Nothing wrong with that. I prefer the tank because it keeps the weight lower and farther forward. After the aux tank mod I get about 70 miles of extra range. In total I can go around 240 miles on a single fill up. That's a LOT of dirt roads!

Bummer! Sure hope I don't run into that problem. So far so good with about 2k miles after installation.
I ride a 2022 KTM690 i just carry a fuel bladder if i need extra fuel alot cheaper

I know! It was that way when I got it, and I've finally got all the stuff to fix it soon. 👍
