I saw this last night and it was absolutely FANTASTIC! I was a bit dubious at first but it works so well and feels really fresh. Do go and see it if you get a chance - you really won't be disappointed and has to be the highlight of the current theatre season.
I like this. I'm just curious wondering how it's going to work. Is Paul signing "getting married today" instead of Amy? How is the dynamic between Bobby and Joanne going down in this? When I heard of this first thing I thought was about how "you can drive a person crazy" was going to be, I always felt a kind of feminine song, but after seeing this I think it's amazing! I know Company is a very flexible piece but I'm still intrigued. I'm hoping for the best!

Yeah it's a German word, the sitzprobe is when the company and orchestra/band get together for the first time and sing/play through the show. I don't know about America but in the UK it's very commonly used in theatre. I heard once that Wagner coined the term and other places copied it but I don't know if that's true.
