Victoria started online dating after her divorce. That’s where she first met her ex. In the beginning, he was saying and doing all the right things to make Victoria believe this was a man that respected and loved her. Years into their relationship, however, Victoria discovered that videos he took of her without her knowledge and consent had been uploaded to Pornhub. Even after the arduous journey to get the footage removed from Pornhub, those videos continue to pop up all over the internet.
Victoria talks with Fight the New Drug about her experience fighting Pornhub to get her nonconsensual videos removed, the trauma that followed after her image-based abuse, and what she’s doing now to advocate for herself and other victims who have found themselves in similar situations.

This woman was just living her life. She desired to have quality male companionship. That's what she thought she was getting...what she was purposely led to believe...that she was utterly and completely deceived. How can anyone look at and listen to this and not know in their hearts that this is wrong? She did not do anything deserving of being deceived, abused, taken advantage of, drugged, used as a sex object for the sick and perverse sexual satisfaction for men who feed themselves, their souls, on explicit, illicit sexual images of women being taken advantage of. It's likely you will not understand most of this. But you should. You should seek out understanding of why pornography in all its forms is wrong, and it does take advantage of and degrade women, even when they "consent", but in many, many cases, they don't. How many young girls, do you think, grow up thinking they are going to do pornography in order to support themselves?
Here's a tip for everyone. Number one don't voluntarily drink or do drugs. Stay in control of your life without substance and don't take food or unattended beverages from anyone especially people who say one thing but demonstrate another. These stories make me feel so, so, so sick... the permanence of it, the lack of recourse the women have... it feels like one of the very worst things you could do to somebody. i think whoever does this shit should be in jail for as long as the videos are still circulating online. if you condemn someone to a psychological prison for the rest of their life, you should be condemned to a physical prison for the same amount of time. I always thought sex trafficking was more prevalent around Resort Towns I've heard that there are tie ins between Hospitality/Housekeeping Departments and Drug trafficking as well! This information needs to get out there. It also helps men who are in the process of quitting porn. The woman you are busting nuts while watching may be a victim of revenge porn. She could have severe psychological issues because of a vengeful jerk. This is someone's daughter, sister, mother, aunt and/or friend. The funny thing is, a lot of women say that I'm sexist, and anti-woman for saying that women need to protect themselves. Of course, it's a different story if they have been secretly filmed, or forced to be taken pictures of. But never send nudes, or graphic images to anyone. You never know what the intention of the receiver is. Once it's out on the net, it's there, and very hard to remove.

I am so grateful for this. This happens ALL the time. Every date I went on with a man they did secret things, they made me do really aggressive complicated porn addict stuff. I feel completely broken from the photos videos and actions I was unknowingly and helplessly part of at the hands of so many people.
I know it can happen to women and men and anyone victimized not just women, but, it is so hard to be alive just trying to live e your life and walk in public with people who COMMONLY do these things. They are bold and aggressive. They are very good liars, they are so pushy.

I have several friends who got into bad situations with online sites. One woman lost several thousand dollars and another ended up marrying the man she met and found out afterward that he was an abusive alcoholic. Another woman flew to Las Vegas to meet the online guy and refused to discuss what happened when she got back and stopped speaking to him. One woman was in her 60's and the other 2 were in their 50's. All were divorced and lonely. It can happen to anyone.
This is in fact common now. I have a few female friends who divorced because they thought that they could do better- and had some terrible experiences with dating. 2 of of them tried to get back together with their exes but they had moved on
I guess I’m just naive because I thought that porns with “hidden videos” we all fakes. I thought they were all consensual. I would have never thought that someone would do that and upload the videos for real. That’s so horrible that women are then victim shamed.

There was a woman I used to hook up with after my gigs (I'm a drummer). She always wanted me to send her d pics, but I never would.
I would never stay the night with her because I just got the feeling that she'd take pictures of me and use them to keep me in her life.
I was right to do that because when I started seeing the woman I'm still with today (coming up on 11 years, met back in fifth grade), I cut off the women I was dating casually. That one I'm particular went nuts. I had to do some investigation and in doing so found out she and her husband were not separated, but he was in prison for raping one of his nephews. I had to use that information to get her to leave me alone. It was wild.
My heart goes out to this young woman. May her story warn others and may she find complete healing of she hasn't found it already.

I was holding spacefonone in particular, but she in fact wanted to explore her options.
When I saw my current gf years and years since we graduated high school together, I "closed shop", and have been with my current gf for eleven years.
This woman felt entitled to me. She would attend performances where I may meet others, giving them nasty looks and whatnot. It was bizarre. The last time I had that happen was 9th grade when an upperclassmen stole a kiss and then she decided she wanted to date me. I had a crush on another girl and she threatened to kick her ass, and her ex was going to kick mine. I talked some heroic big talk to her and she relented.
I also had a drum student whose mom tried to start a relationship with me. It was ugly stuff! I the first and third examples these women were significantly older, like 15 - 20 years respectively.
But yes, I was forthright in my intentions. I didn't need to pursue because there was a sort of "waiting list". Because of this I was able to have influence on the dynamics of the relationship.

I have seen a random teenage boy on the app "Yubo" use a video of a girl he was having intercourse with as his profile video. Of course it would get taken down and at the time I was too ignorant to realize I should've reported it but that's how normalized it is. Others in the live chats would just laugh and praise this boy for his "humorous" actions. And the fact that I didn't realize how terrible that was just goes to show how gen Z is made to think things like that are okay/normal and somehow funny. I also think about how it could've easily happened to me too.

I'm glad she's bringing up law enactments that could help more in holding these criminals accountable. It doesn't make sense to keep the internet overall free of accountability when it's also being used as one of the biggest loop holes to get around laws and regulations that would be adhered to if it happened in person with tangible evidence. I've been in support of this, particularly for things like internet porn, for the very reasons she's expressing. Standing against the industry has been an arduous obstacle, but I believe it's making a difference. We've made differences for the better in the past, all it takes is vigilance. Just like any reason a law would exist. Women happen to be very prominent in fighting for their freedoms for it to change for the better, and anyone vigilant enough to make a good change will do just that. None of them just let things happen, they earn it through action. So maybe take that as an example to consider from if you have such a problem with what has become due to historic past endeavors. However, they are safe guards to help ensure the best outcome safe for, not just the victims, but others who could potentially risk experiencing the same thing which has shown well enough evidence that harm is concerning enough to require legal action. Don't really see anything wrong with that in that regard, but it does put a monkey wrench in those attempting to take advantage.

a possible solution and justice: I read about a woman who something similar happened. She copyrighted her body parts, and as a result, the website was in violation of copy right. They would have to pay her, or take down the video. They took down the video. I 've only heard this outcome once, like about seven years ago.
A suit for damages with a minimum of $1Billion per violation would solve things in a hurry.

That is BEYOND disgusting. Being with people you cannot trust, since you pointed out at some point that you had misgivings and continued the consensual relationship even after that, as friends with benefits. That said, it getting uploaded is AWFUL. There should be laws put out there that punish non consensual uploads of sexual material to the level of rape. Once on the web is ALWAYS on the web, unfortunately. It exists everywhere, OFF THE WEB, downloaded and reuploaded.
As I see it fixing this should involve a multi prong approach. At some point there will almost certainly be AI that could be put to the task of searching out this material, in general on the internet, the stuff that has been flagged as non consensual, and then deleting it, and notifying authorities so that sites that routinely have this happen can be required to spend the money to buy the equipment to search their OWN site in this manner. If every site were doing this real time, these videos, at least, would appear and then disappear VERY quickly, or better yet be PREscanned with a go/no go for publishing.
An AI could go through tens of thousands to maybe orders of magnitude more than that of newly uploaded videos, and that, I would think, if individual sites were doing that with computer searches, could easily keep up. As I said, make the website scan them BEFORE they are published on the site, so that they don't show up at all, and make harsh penalties for the website owners if they were lax or disingenuous, or shy of due diligence! There are ways to easily disguise videos for copyright infringement today, and you see it frequently on YT, using black borders with images scrolling through, etc., but an AI would see through that (eventually, when they get sophisticated enough) at levels even beyond what a person could manage. Face recognition is simple stupid long out there stuff right now, as hopefully pretty much everyone is aware. THAT should not be allowed either, just generally having cameras everywhere and tracking everyone's movements.
One thing that appears obvious, watching this, is that she is obviously trying grow awareness to possibly spare others this horror. Brave girl, because what it is also doing, and she is obviously pretty smart so she knows this, is making a commercial for that material, literally holding up a neon sign saying, hey, this is out there.
Don't get me wrong here, I am not making ANY of this as being even the slightest bit your fault, not even remotely. But what I am saying is basically what you are saying. And, that while walking down a 'deserted' alley you don't know in the crappiest parts of town in the middle of the night, wearing a micro bikini, in no way should expose you to a MUCH larger chance of being raped or mugged or trafficked or whatever else, given the worst of human depravity in a very few, it DEFINITELY does.
When she brought up her children, and then even moreso the Down's syndrome child, my heart lept into my throat, and tear came to my eyes. All I can think is either the people that do this sort of heinous act are either so damned stupid that they can't perceive the damage that is done, or they just don't care. VERY harsh laws might make a few more of them care, because even if they have zero empathy or concern with/for anyone else, they much more often understand that if it is THEM receiving harsh punishment, that's not preferable. NOTHING will totally fix this problem. Even just shooting the convicted perpetrators wouldn't, but with SW intervention, you could, at least in the very near future, pretty much end it. You could end most of it right now. Just a database of faces of those demanding such videos be taken down, to compare to faces on new uploads would stop a LOT of it.
This is exactly why porn and all sex work for that matter should be illegal and carry a life sentence. If these pos still choose to assault women, life in prison solves the problem for everyone. The trash that wants it will have all the sex they want in prison after all.
Look at who owns all the production companies. Then look at lobbyists.

She mentioned that he was secretly recording her, so he CLEARLY knew she wouldn't have agreed to being filmed and posted. So it's absolutely unlawful in my opinion.
