Getting the timing right on that glass block was not easy initially. A tutorial makes the invention part seem easy but there was a big chance of failure if I made mistakes. Far easier to build than to design. timings, timings, timings.
Hi - I've been working on this in Bedrock edition and I have a few ideas for you - in order to keep the walls complete (no button gaps) I've been stopping the machine by powering the walls to keep the pistons extended, and releasing them in the right order to let the machine go again. Also, I've managed to put shulker boxes in the walls (which open outwards) instead of buttons, which when opened move minecarts in water streams onto pressure plates. I'm afraid I haven't tested that on Java, but there are more immovable objects in Java to experiment with. Lastly, it's a fun project to try to make doors which will close just after the slime is out of the way to give the illusion they were closed the whole time you were moving, but I really couldn't make anything small enough to do on multiple floors. PS love the build and the observer lines are a very elegant recall system.
tbqh after a certain smallness adding another sticky block would do more harm than good. This one's quirks are artifacts of how it "just came together", I haven't had a redstone build work itself out so many ways in over a year.
damn i not ganna lie that this is the perfect video . many elevator tutorial wont focus on recall system . this is crazy . i so glad that i found this video 10/10
Omg dude thank you so much you dont know how it feels like to finally have a TH-camr to actually show me some talent you make me your new subscriber 🎉🎉
hi i am new to your channel and wanted to try this elevator in my survival world and wanted to know how many non-sticky blocks i would need but other then that i love the video
hmm i guess it depends on the floor. they're almost all optional, it will work without them. it's gonna be 8 on each level minus a few here or there. i can look in my world today.
Nice job on the video and elevator, but it seems pretty confusing to me. For example figuring out where to put the observers and redstone for a specific building. Overall great build
I would like to question about a problem does it work on 1.21.4? Cause the holding mechanism for each floor seem to bug out the repeater won't turn off breaking the elevator
you have to make one of those elevator stop thingy's for every floor, he just skipped the part because its ez to do, just copy what you did on one floor and do it in another, after that you just continue with the tutorial :D
I build it and it's amazing! If i'm at the top floor and i press up button, how can i stop it? Because it will go on roof and i don't want to. How can i fix it? Thanks and as always good video!
having a problem with the recall system, i cant seem to get the timing right, if i recall the elevator from the second floor from the thrid floor, the elevator ends up going up and stuck in the roof
That looks really great, but I have a lot of trouble understanding it. I don't want to decide which side blocks come out on, I would like to know where to place the blocks exactly when i have an entrance... I find it really difficult to look at the prototype in a creative world surrounded by thousands of other projects and not even know which side I have to leave blank or where the blocks have to go so that the side to enter is correct afterwards (because there is no reference). Especially when you want to recreate it step by step, it wastes my time when redstone is taken back here and there or an observer just to demonstrate something. when you consider how time-consuming it is to watch such tutorials, where you can never be sure whether they will still work so you MUST try it, I would probably have to build this project for an hour, only to realize that in my survival world where i am building this gone the wrong way around, or build too far into the room etc. what a pitty :(
I tried making this amazing elevator on a server called donut smp. It didn't work when I added blocks on top of the slime blocks at the top but only when going up. Why is this? It also works in single player and other servers.
Good idea. I was in such a rush to get villager transport cleaned up I didn't think of the polish. I may want to rework the input signals to feel more flush too.
I have an issue when the elevator comes down from an upper floor: the sticky piston retracts too early, leaving the non-sticky one in the air. Then, when using the elevator, it gets destroyed because the piston pushes the slime block under the elevator. Is this still working in 1.21?
lol I'm trying to build this shit since 3 days, always problems on the middle flor. I tried other videos but there are to difficult for me to build. I need an elevator for a hotel in create mode
“Any build you can do off of memory is a good build” is a great quote, love how educational this video is aswell. Hope you make it big man!
Finnaly an 2x2 elevator that can go multiple floors and doesn't have too much wires
that's what I was going for.

What an awesome 2x2 elevator. I love it. great job man . keep up the good work
Thank you!
Honestly really impressed that you managed to get one this small without also using honey.

Couldn't get more compact...Nice Build.!! You also do a very informative and explanatory vidoe..😃
thank you!
Omg dude thank you so much you dont know how it feels like to finally have a TH-camr to actually show me some talent you make me your new subscriber 🎉🎉
thank you!
for the recall system you can just use repeaters on the observers for a compact design(I think)
finally someone did it..... big brain there mate gg
thanks! I've done a number of other elevators (i have a playlist), but this is the cleanest design yet, albeit not totally hipster.
Wow very cool
Thank you. It's been too long.
You can use glazed terracota with an arrow pattern behind buttons as a replacement to item frames with flowers
“The elevator guy”
I just wanted to share my misc redstone and the YT algorithm was like YOU = ELEVATORS

"for Java", that is.

Amazing video doc!
This one is very nice for my hotel! Very nice!
watching this is making my brain crash, but this is so good and makes me understand redstone a bit more... i think
this guy needs more subs
I’ve been looking for this kind of elevator for a build for the past year and a half🙏🏽
In some sense, so was I.
damn, Ive once tried doing muli fllor elevator, but failed, very cool to actually get one :D
''you're gonna need 3 observers'' .....
for the elevator, yes, but for the rest no :3
hi i am new to your channel and wanted to try this elevator in my survival world and wanted to know how many non-sticky blocks i would need but other then that i love the video

it's not really cut out for a tutorial.
i have a schematic on my discord i think
pretty sure you can do some wallstone magic to get a faster call function
I need to work on my wallstone skills tbh.
I would like to question about a problem does it work on 1.21.4? Cause the holding mechanism for each floor seem to bug out the repeater won't turn off breaking the elevator
Is there any way you could make a tutorial for a 5x5 multiple floors elevator? Love your videos ❤
I'm working on one!
Do you have a video describing the size of the build, and every material required in the entire build?
I need a place for the Redstoneblock to add for my piston doors
This is genius
thank you!
Can this be done in 3x3?
Have you tried putting closing doors on your lift
This is legit the best 2x2 elevator but is there any cheaper option instead of blue glazed terracotta ?
has to be blocks slime can't drag. Glazed terra or obsidian or furnaces or dispensers
@@DoctorPlasmaMC Thanks
mine is getting push once it going down.. what to do?
Could you drop a quick list of everything we'll need to make this? Trying to create this in survival
That insane😂 i through multi floor elevator redstone is complex
I make things as simple as I can!
He just randomly made a whole new system and he skipped half the thing I didn’t understand anything
you have to make one of those elevator stop thingy's for every floor, he just skipped the part because its ez to do, just copy what you did on one floor and do it in another, after that you just continue with the tutorial :D
Sorry but is this Java or bedrock
Java.

don't add an up button on the top floor!
@@DoctorPlasmaMC but what if you're on the top floor and the elevator is on one of the bottom floors, how would you be able to call it up?
This doesnt work, i suppose bcz i am on MCPE
the normal piston on 3:30 wont activate
Plz give a solution if any
Or does it not work on MCPE
why are you trying to do redstone on pocket edition lol, no sorry this is pc redstone
@DoctorPlasmaMC i am playing on my tablet, so is this MCPE or java??

Is it possible to turn it into a 4x4 multi floor elevator?
Como faz o elevador parar
com obsidiana ou da forma que mostrei no vídeo, com um bloco 13 na lateral
deve parar por si só, da forma como o fiz

I tried making this amazing elevator on a server called donut smp. It didn't work when I added blocks on top of the slime blocks at the top but only when going up. Why is this? It also works in single player and other servers.
probably because the server is running anti-redstone code on the backend. Paper is notorious for this and spigot has problems too sometimes
@@DoctorPlasmaMC Ok, thank you!!
This is very simular to my design, but mine uses honey as well.
I'd love to see it!
One small comment, why don't you add an actual call button in your library? One that sends it lower if it is above and up if it is below
Good idea.

yes. might need to check some dust and repeaters and make sure the timings are right.
Man... I'm so dumb 4:54
can you give me the copy of your world ? so i can observe the mechanism more smoothly
hey ive got a problem
in 4:22 when u place the redstone i cant make the floor cuz of it
did i do it wrong?
what floor?
Hello where on Patreon can I get this schematic? I’ve searched and only found the diamond elevator schematic
I got lost at the recall system, someone help me
what version of minecraft i need to know
it doesnt work for me 😭
