Just found this channel. I grew up with .22 long rifle( I'm 80) and loved them. Use to hunt jack rabbits at night back in late 50s and 60s in Wyoming. Glove makers and mink farmers were paying up to 80cents apiece. My dad, mom and I had many a joyful night, made gas money, paid for ammo and extra spending money. Our best night, we bagged 87 rabbits, and once a Bob cat which had bounty on them of $25. Back then $25 was good money with minimum wage being $1.00.
Oh, by the way, what determines a brace from a stock? I'm sure it's some goofy ATF regulation. But I don't know what it is. One other thing, I knew a fellow who would borrow my .22 and supplement his family's meat diet with mule deer. With the right shot, a muley is meat on the table.

The Brace/Stock "thing" has got me puzzled too William. Plinkster said it's a brace, not a stock, then proceeds to shoulder the firearm. I know it's a US term but for the life of me i can't figure it out. (UK shooter) If it shoulders, for me it's a stock, if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck.....oh well.
      Whatever, it's a cool gun.

I have the M4 Elite .22 for about a 18 months and love it, no issues and it went 1200 round without a cleaning only 1 hiccup with Winchester bulk pack. People also get kick out of it at the range cause of it close resemblance and function to a real AR. Oh and it will shoot CCI quiets semi-auto with no problems, that's what I use for the little ones.

I always have my handgun and a 22 rifle when in the mountains doing firewood. I purchased the 11"barrel model, and love it. It is now my 22lr for use in the mountains. Put a picatinney rail on the side with a light, and its set for night use. Also bought 4 extra mags, and put a single point sling on it so it carries easy on my atv.

It's called ''Hill Country 22's at 420 Yards'' by Hill Country Rifles and toward the end **_He's hitting within a couple inches of the last shot several consecutive times_** with Standard Velocity Lapua Center-X.*

Bought one and only contradictory thing is this gun does not like the Winchester 555 bulk crap. Have usually like 10/100 rounds malfunction, either failures to feed or not resetting the trigger (like 1/100 rounds also does not fire). One of the Winchester tried to blow up my gun, shot out a ton of smoke and blew the magazine right out the bottom.
I run CCI standard velocity and had one issue in 300 rounds, which I think was on me, how I loaded the magazine. I think I have put a total of 1250 rounds through my Tippman.
Really this is more of a PSA to stay the HELL away from Winchester bulk 22.

I don’t know why people hate on .22 so much. With the right modifications to the bullet you can. Make a .22 lr deadlier than most handgun rounds and some rifle rounds on soft targets and other modifications to said bullet can put lead through body armor to a level That most wouldn’t believe. I’m an inventor and innovator so this isn’t common knowledge but I’ll say this. Killing a deer with a .22 lr would be easy if it weren’t against the law. I mean even when I grew up living off of subsistence I’d never imagine breaking the law. The bottom line I’d put my modified.22 lr up against any 9mm

22 I know you said that this Tippmann 22 ar is the most reliable 22 out their my question is, is it more reliable then the Ruger 22 you had back a few years ago with the binary trigger on it that you call the ultimate 22 something you had a Clemson trace red dot on it that you was given it away. So which will be the better out of those two

Hi Plinkster. I'm a little confused about the brace, we have very different gun laws in the UK, not really having much of a gun culture. You're using the brace as a stock, which clearly makes sense with a weapon such as this, what makes it a brace and not a stock?

If there was 2 things I was kind of hoping you'd mention they are:
    1. How does this shoot compared to the normal micro, like say no ar15 spring reverb after each shot, due to the redesigned bolt? (or is the recoil impulse any different with the new design .. etc..)
    and
    2. will the new bolt work in an older micro? aka would/could/will Tippmann offer an 'upgrade' available for the original micro owners, as it seems like nothing else changed besides the folder mechanism..
