As a teacher, I found this video really helpful and will be sharing it with my students. The tips on revision techniques are exactly what they need to prepare for exams. Thanks for sharing!
A friend of mine asked for some studytube recommendations today and I sent her this looooong list and then she asked which one is your favourite and I immediately responded with Cajun Koi Academy without thinking because honestly a lot of the stuff that Mike and Matty talk about I have never been able to find in other videos so thx guys :)
I use the confidence rating for every question on UWorld. And I rate it with confident vs unconfident, and then check the answer to see if it was right or wrong (I use RemNote hashtags) *I'm 100% confident this is the right answer for this reason + actual answer is correct = #CR (confidently right) *I'm not confident but I think this is the right answer + actual answer is correct = #UR (unconfidently right) --> needs exploring/compare and contrast answers *I'm not confident but I think this is the right answer + actual answer is incorrect = #UW (unconfidently right) --> needs exploring/compare and contrast answers *I don't know wtf is going on + actual answer is wrong = #CW (Confidently wrong) --> I also use this hashtag for questions that i thought were 100% right and actually got it wrong for wrong logic or understanding ^^ this has tremendously helped me hone in on what to focus on and be more efficient in my studying.
Confidence wala part is the best. Also, correlating Anonymous quote - If you can generate and answer 10 questions on a topic, then you have mastered that topic...
Hey man, got a question (could be a video idea too)... How do we find the right kind of resource for what we are studying? For sure we could use a textbook like most other medical students, however that catch is that not all information in the book might be as important and it may consume more time to read it, time we could use for something else. Then again, a textbook might be a good guide and can build a better picture of the subject rather than mindlessly scrolling through articles about it on the internet. Any opinions?
Thank you 1. Confidence You must have the confidence to do something. The 3 step framework when reviewing practice problem 1. make sure that you know why the right answer is right, and the wrong answer is wrong 2. Change the variable of the answer choices or change the variable of the question itself. 3. Track your confidence for every topic you study.
I just discovered your channel and I can say that my new year is starting very well. Very good contents and the quality of the videos are amazing. Subscribed!
the tip to find out why the other answers were wrong were similar to what i do when tacking questions like he did. when i find that my answer for a question is wrong, i always put notes down as to why my answer was wrong or notes as to why the correct answer is the correct one. if you get me
Some advices for a math exam like Joint entrance examination Advanced Or Mains.. (India).. I m currently preparing for that. And I will be eligible to give it next year..
Bro, video editing and animations of your channel is too good ❤️👌 please share which software you use for video editing ? . Any course you recommend for learning video editing ? . I wanted to learn video editing , not able to find which course to start with. Appreciate your help on this. Thanks !
you do this with textbook problems and if you have subjective questions then do it this way: 1) solve on own, 2) check your steps and everything 3) match the answer if it is correct then think how would the question vary or connect with previous topics and if wrong then check why did you go wrong and how could it be manipulated later and then connect with previous experiences and you should check out mind for numbers by barbara oakley
If you are doing multiple practice papers, how do you use the grow method to know which topics since the past paper would cover essentially all of the topics, or might not cover all of it
dont even need Pythagorean therom for this problem thrid side of triangle is alaways samller than sum of other two side when you apply this the 2 other option will get eliminated and you can guess your answer 100% correctly
you are right but sometimes elimination is not the goal rather building up concepts to get to the answer is the goal and this was just one example you can try this with integrals where you wont need the inequalities
Such a shitty video. Not worth the watch. Kidding... (Read in obito's sub voice) Now that I've got ur attention, the video was awesome !!! I'm a dental student and I've been following ur content for quite some time. The GROW method was frickin badass 🔥🔥. It actually helped me a lot. Keep making more content on how to study and how to score. I might as well end up as a trainer for the Cajun Koi academy ❤️😂. Thank you so much medical Bros 🪩 💙

What do you do if you don’t have past paper
you do this with textbook problems and if you have subjective questions then do it this way: 1) solve on own, 2) check your steps and everything 3) match the answer if it is correct then think how would the question vary or connect with previous topics and if wrong then check why did you go wrong and how could it be manipulated later and then connect with previous experiences and you should check out mind for numbers by barbara oakley
