Jordan is in a much tougher period to win. He s the better wrestler. But I admit I enjoy watching John more. 2 all time US great. And Bruce baumgardner of course. 4 Olympics 4 metals. Enough said

Nobody sets people up from the outside like JB. Smith is an amazing technician and both are as good as we've ever seen in this country followed closely by Bruce Baumgartner, the Schultz Brothers and Lee Kemp.

John Smith in my opinion has better technique; Jordan Burroughs is fast and athletic. Techniques are similar, I reckon John Smith's is just more crisper.

+David H I think it's more a case of Smith being so well-versed in follow-up attacks if his initial shot didn't score, while Burroughs is much more likely to score off his initial shot. To say that that means Jordan is just more fast and athletic is to sell Burroughs short - his technique on the actual entry and takedown are so good that usually he doesn't need to follow up with second and third attacks like Smith.

i would say like Jordan said: his version works better for people who are heavy on their front leg, but John Smith's was more well rounded and tactical overall.

I think where they share the same mastery is that they are both the master of distance and controlling that distance.
