Good honest people who got treated right by Parker. $35.00 and they are back on the road. We've seen ALOT of Dodge Chargers on this channel and most seem to have cooling system issues. I'm happy for these people.

The best part is that you gave it to him straight on how to take care of the bleeding in the future. That is worth much more than the repair itself. Enjoying your videos
Ummm...?? No, the coolant cycles the other way around Matt. Hot coolant comes out of the engine from the thermostat and into the top of the radiator. Then the coolant flows downwards through the radiator and gets cooled. The cooler coolant then exits the radiator from the bottom of the radiator via the bottom hose and is drawn into the water pump to be circulated back around the engine to remove heat, then it goes back out past the thermostat through the top hose to the top of radiator, then the cycle repeats. Remember back in science class, hot things rise and cooler things fall?🤣
@@notacommie5415 So far as you know it's fixed, although we don't if it had more serious underlying issues, since he only ran it at idle and didn't test drive it to put the cooling system under actual load in a real world situation. After all, it is a Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Plymouth, Fiat, Mercedes, Mopar P.O.S so any number of things could be go wrong with it at any second🤣👍 But my actual point was, he shouldn't try to explain how something works to a customer if he doesn't know how it actually works himself.
Like my wife's car. She pulled in the driveway with smoke coming out of the hood like it was on fire leaving a trail of oil behind her. I popped the hood and the bottom of engine was soaked in oil dripping everywhere. My stomach dropped. I thought I was in for a nightmare but after further inspection it was the oil inlet for the turbo. Cost me 25 bucks and 10 minutes to fix.
I remember when my grandfather replaced the radiator in his 2005 model Holden VZ Commodore & it overheated to the point that the cooling fans remained turned on while the engine was turned off in a car park. It runs the GM- Holden 3.6 litre LY7 (Alloytec) V6 engine & they have to be bled by allowing the thermostat to open up to properly bleed the cooling system ,his still had air in it but I used Holdens cooling system bleeding procedure to bleed it, note that I am talking about Australian built GM cars here. I had an issue 18 months ago when my 5.7 litre Holden VY SS Commodore which runs the LS1 V8 engine boiled over on a hot & stinky summers day, apparently the cooling system had an air pocket in it & what I didn't do is to allow the cooling fans to kick in prior to switching the engine off. The radiator fans turned on when my car was sitting at the auto parts store & the engine wasn't running, it's a failsafe circuit which will allow the radiator fans to turn on while the engine isn't running as well to protect the engine !
With it running at 186-192 it sounds like he has a ripp 180 thermostat. Thats what I have in my 2017 charger pursuit and I run those exact temps. OEM t-stat it was running 208-218
Coolant flows the other way boss. Definitely need to drive vehicle with T-stat installed to properly diagnose You're gonna love the van, I have the Chevy p30. Be safe!
I know you want to be a good guy but you have to have at least a 50$ min thats still a good deal for them and your company. It was hard for me to but now i have a 100$ min and its still fair for both parties. Don't short your company.
Its running those temps but eventually youll heat soak the water. With the center popped out it wil restrict the flow and let the water cool some but eventually it will all get hot and overheat on hot days, under a load, or in traffic. I bet it has check engine light cause the pcm monitors engine temp and how long it takes to get there. If you remove the thermostat or change the way it cools like having the center popped out, you should have a programmer to change those settings. Is it gonna run and stay cool, maybe but you will still have issues. In the winter you wont have heat.. fix it right, Put a new thermostat in..
as a person that owns a construction company I really feel bad for this guy that does the work with 35 dollars that probable took him an hour or less that man could run out of business real fast. I get being a good person but man he should charge more he's gotta look at he's operational expense.
My 2014 Durango with Pentistar started to overheat. Changed thermostat and still overheated. Did a full cooling system, Tstat, waterpump and radiator. Still overheated! Bled it many times and still overhetaed! So I took the old Tstat and took the center apart and filled it up and bled it. Guess what! It hasn't overheated since then. Now I have a code for engine temp below oper temp. Dealership told me those aftermarket units always fail or dont work properly. Because of the check engine light throwing that code, my remote start turns off after 10-15 seconds after starting.
