Another banger! I find turn 6 a bit of a challenge since it's a bit of a blind corner and the final corner getting some understeer.
Just a thought to possibly put in a few tidbits on defensive / attacking lines?

That’s a good point. I need to run a race on this track to see. In my head it’s going to be a great track to race on since it’s so wide with several long straights with slow corners after.
6 was brutal at first for me as well, my issue was that I was so cautious I’d be 4 tenths slow every lap braking early, and there’s no real reference there, especially on a single monitor.

Regarding the final corner, I really try to roll into the throttle but also point the car as wide as possible, open the steering as much as you can right as you exit the corner. That helps put the power down for a quick exit.
To minimize understeer, try braking longer and less on corner entry. More trail braking, with a less shocking weight transition to the front tires.
I was struggling to find the last .3s in the Gt4 a few weeks ago, looked at VRS telemetry and basically found, I speared the brakes on and they set the nose down gently rolling onto the brakes.
Just think, if you slam the nose down it’ll hit abs and cause understeer and in iracing overheat the front tires.

@@sim2circuit Thanks for the detailed explanation! Braking earlier and keeping it light was definitely a key point as well as trying to open the corner for a pointed exited really did the trick. Working on trying to get a more stable exit from the previous corner, where I'm waiting too long for the car to settle before braking and therefore late.
For corner 4, I'm using triple screens and I still find difficulty in seeing the apex (A-pillar) and a reference. Nothing much there, been using the ending of the curbing on the right on when I can spot it - not exactly the best though. Definitely found I need to turn the steering more on that corner than I expected and found about 2 tenths.

That was one of my issues before, not turning the wheel enough. It’s hard to feel that in a sim.
For future videos I may start grabbing VRS telemetry data as well so that can be looked at too.
One last point, 100% opposite of the brake, sometimes if the car keeps wanting to spin, or you’re trying to get a little rotation on exit, you can use the throttle to make those adjustments.
Ex. 10-30% throttle can help you shift balance to the rear tires making for a more stable exit.
Or like in T4-5-6, wiggling the throttle around 50-80% avoiding bad TC cut, but inducing a little oversteer to rotate the car can help a ton.

Only been playing a month and a half, best I have gotten is 1:52.08. I thought VIR was tough my first time but seems pretty easy compared to this one..

That’s not bad. Interesting comparing to VIR. I think this track relies on trail braking and weight transition a bit more, which may be more difficult to nail.
That coupled with a few blind corners is rough. VIR usually gets me because I just lack commitment in a few corners during races, like southbend and oak tree, just avoiding mistakes costs me time.
52 is pretty solid though! Hopefully you can find a bit more time, just really focus on not mashing ABS on entry, and not triggering TC heavy on exit. That might help close that gap.
