- The time has come. The day is here. The day I've been waiting for where I get to feel like a kid again. That day is none other than Knoebels Opening Day for the 2021 season. In this video we'll see what updates & changes have been made. You'll know what to expect if you visit and I'll also share my thoughts on how the entire day was. I was born and raised in Charleston SC. my mother is from PA, and Margaret Knoebel is her cousin. I remember spending summers up there as a child. Great memories.
An hour wait for a ride is nothing compared to paying the admission price you pay at a certain Orlando amusement park and wait 2 hours.

I haven't been there in 15 years
So glad to see this! Looking forward to getting there this summer sometime, nothing beats the Lussie scooters, they pack a good pop! Back in the day my pop pop would run the pioneer train, also operated the Whip and the old original Ferris wheel that was near the salt and pepper shakers. Always loved playland arcade when they had the old ball bowler machines!

This park looks so clean and well kept. I love to go on the chair lift, but for me it's a 3 and half hour drive for me to get there . Great video....
It's a 4 and a half hr drive for me Carolann it's worth the road trip
I recommend and overnight and weekend trip. You'd love it.

Any type of disappointing circumstances is heart breaking for Knoebels . Unfortunately this is a preview for the entire season due to all the forces colliding at the same time . Everyone dying to get out & have fun , buy one get one free, Shortened operational hours , major ride closures ,and the biggest factor that will hurt Knoebels & other parks is the humongous lack of staffing mainly due to the extended unemployment benefits that will last until September 2021 . Doubt those people will return before that . I'll be supporting Knoebels in June & August and I'm hoping Flying Turns and other closed attraction will be open by then . Thanks for the Knoebels updates . We hope you do them more often during these ruff times .

Awesome tour JP. I love the natural environment here. Its like a forest with an amusement park within. I would love to come here just to eat a hotdog, fries and just walk around and relax. Great to see all the new fresh paint on the rides. I too love cable gondola "fly over" rides... my fave!! Wow that burger looks great!! How does RJ stay so skinny!!!... LOL

Great to see it's open JP! Looks like nice weather up there, winter won't let us go down here, sun hasn't shined in over a week, snow, rain, freezing temperatures, they say its going to warm back up some this week, I'd love to see some spring again. Thanks for sharing the opening with us!

We got our tickets already but what do you suggest go early?? WOW!! it's packed but considering everyone was locked up for a Year.

What a Wonderful time!! Knoebel Krazy FUN! There wasn't anything in the vlog that wasn't enjoyable! All around Good time had by all! Pay isn't the best but you get some decent discounts and they have some really nice employee appreciation days throughout the season

Found $11 worth of ride tickets in my car yesterday .Was almost tempted to make a road trip yesterday lol. August can't come fast enough i'll be there for almost a week. I noticed alot of the ride prices have went up a quarter to fifty cents but still not bad.
Everything goes up every year, but still most affordable park around.
i just came back from knoebels and on the bridge with the cover ontop of it, i saw the 'JPVideos' Signature!
I've been to Knobels many many times as a kid/teen. Now at 45 My now Grown daughters have gone and we have a 7 yr old son who has been twice. Anyone who can make the drive needs to visit. We had a cabin about an hour away and would make sure during those 2 wk stays to incorporate Knobels. My favorite things were the Carousel 🎠 that you could grab the rings..and the Phoenix Rollercoaster 🎢
An even better idea is to rent a cabin inside the Knoebels Campground. I've done it a few times and it's a fun experience.
This place gets packed all season.. I remember as a kid this park had manageable numbers of people, never had a long wait. It was Pa.'s one best kept secrets. Not anymore which is sad for long time visitors but good for business. Still one of the best, clean, affordable and family friendly places to go.. ps. Best place to go too if your a people watcher...lol enough said...lol.
They definitely got more crowded in the last 5yrs. They are mentioned around the country for always winning awards. People watching is fun.

People typically take dogs on the Pioneer train and gasoline alley (antique cars). Ive seen some sit with their dog on the carousel, but i dont recommended that.

There are changes now. There are quite a few more rides open (some still not) and masks dont have a requirement if you are vaccinated.
Also he may not want to flash that pole camera around. PA law says a recording device must be secured with a 3 point harness while on a ride. Konebels doesnt seem to mind but wouldnt want to see great videographers getting in nonsense. I might be wrong.
I didnt have time to watch the whole video, so I'm not sure if you mentioned, but do you know if flying turns will open this season?

Free. Go to guest services across from ferris wheel. You need an action camera with 3 point harness.
According to Knoebel's covid update page the space walk (bounce house) , Ball Pit, and sky slide is expected not to operate at all this yr.

Is there only tickets at this park or can you pay 1 fee to ride everything? A ways out yet but we are a family of 4 planning a spring trip for 2022
Tickets are good anytime. Wristbands are accepted weekdays and certain posted weekends.
I was supposed to go opening day but my friend had car trouble. I cannot ride the haunted mansion but a ride through with you I can handle.

@@JPVideos81 my anxiety won't let me near the ride. As a kid riding it I would close my eyes duck my head and cover my ears until I heard the jungle man at the end of the ride.
My family has reunions there every year. We will be there soon.

Goin Buggy, Ball Crawl, Cub Cars, Kiddie Himalaya, Kiddie Wheel, Red Baron, Ribbit, Sky Slide, Space Walk, Crazy Sub, Italia Trapeze, Paradrop, Rockin Tug, Tumbling Timbers, Black Diamond, Fandango, Flyer, Flying Turns, Looper, Satellite, Sklooosh, Super Round-up, And of course Jet Star, and the Whirlwind are sadly still closed lol.
I was there yesterday and can confirm. Surprisingly enough, black diamond was running on opening weekend.
I always wondered what they did with the old "completely filled" planks on the covered bridge.
i've always wondered too . would be kinda cool if they made if they made a museum of the old planks.

still a fun time no matter what but its not like it was just a few years ago when it was a bit more wild with Excitement of the Entertainment every place you look - upside - not long lines to wait in -- downside - Atmosphere is not the same - still with whats taking place around us its still a bit of Heaven to try and get back to Normal Living !!! thanks for a great time at the Kiddie Park 4 Grownups !!!!!
